I bring you greetings from Lagos, from our father in the Lord, God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo and I decree that everyone here under this cover, that same grace is released upon you today, in Jesus’ precious name.
Exodus 23:25-26. The Lord bless His Word in Jesus’ name. Subject tonight is “Dedication for Preservation”. Church Gist. Our month is our month of “The Risen Glory through Dedication”, how one can access and experience the rise in the Glory by dedication. Our objective is to understand the Preservation Power of the dedicated life.
It is clear through Scripture that dedication to God is key to the preservation of life. Dedication to God, living for God equals living for good; living for God equals living for long. Church Gist. We are going to look at examples in Scripture of men, women, people that were dedicated to God, who were preserved by their dedication.
- David. David was dedicated to God, without any doubt. Psalm 42:1-2. Psalm 63:1-2,8. Psalm 122:1. Psalm 55:1. Church Gist. See dedication, multifaceted; to be in the house of Lord, dedication in prayer, all manner. Psalm 119:64. These Scriptures show us how dedicated David was to God. This dedicated man encountered hazards, dangers. Hazards in the hands of lions and bears, dangers in the hands of Goliath and his own son, all manner and yet he couldn’t die until he had served God in his generation.Acts 13:36. Church Gist. Not until he had finished serving his generation, the devil couldn’t kill him, the witches could not kill him, the Goliath could not kill him, the forces of hell couldn’t finish him until he had served his own generation by the will of God. Acts 13:36. What is the meaning of that to you? As long as you’re in the course of serving your God in your generation, no devil can cause to sleep premature sleep, no devil can cause you to be cut short before your time. Church Gist. No matter the number of premature deaths happening in your family and your community, you’re not permitted to be cut short before your time for as long as you’re serving God and your generation.

1 Chronicles 29:26-28. For somebody here tonight, it shall not be bad old age. You know bad old age? Church Gist. Urinary incontinence, faecal incontinence, where they come to a point that they begin to pray for the mother or the father to die so they can rest; that will never be your portion and that will never be the portion of your parents!
- Paul the Apostle. Paul the Apostle was a man of very brutal commitment to God. He was a diehard follower. Philippians 1:21. Living means Christ, dying means gain; if it is not Christ, no reason to live; if I’m not serving God, life is a waste. Galatians 2:20. 1 Corinthians 9:16. That was how addicted, dedicated and donated, Paul the Apostle was. In the realm of prayer, Paul said, “Praying always” – Ephesians 6:18. 1 Thessalonians 5:17. 1 Corinthians 14:18. Church Gist. That was the level of Paul the Apostle’s dedication to God. The same Paul encountered all manner of dangers and hazards. 2 Corinthians 11:23-28. Ordinary people would have given up at this time. Romans 8:35-39.
Somebody lift up your right hand, say, “nothing is able to separate me from the love of God”.
Paul the Apostle passed through all these things and at the end of the day, what happened? Philemon 1:9. He lived until he was aged because of his donated life to God. Church Gist. Persecution, people were being cut short before their time, not Paul the Apostle, he couldn’t just be cut short like that. Philippians 3:12-13. That was Paul the Apostle, dedicated to God and in his dedication to God, he fulfilled his days.
- I speak to someone here today, you shall fulfill your days!
- look at somebody by your side, tell them, “you’re not wasting your time and no devil can waste your time and waste your life as you’re dedicated to God.
- say a loud Amen.
- Daniel. Daniel was dedicated. Daniel 1:8. Daniel 6:3-4,10. He (Daniel) had a schedule and a routine. I’ve said it before, your schedule determines your success and your routine determines your result. Church Gist. Your habit determines your habitat, this I heard from Papa Oyedepo. How you behave will determine where you’ll be found. Death came for Daniel twice, death couldn’t catch him. First time was when king Nebuchadnezzar had a nightmare and he said that the magicians and wiseman of Babylon should tell him the dream and the interpretation because he forgot the dream. Church Gist. The people said, “no, nobody does that to his neighbour, tell us the dream and we will tell you the interpretation”. He said, “no way. I thought you people said you’re prophetic. Tell me my dream and if you don’t tell me, you’re dead”. That was the first time death came for all of them. Daniel 2:17-19.
- somebody say a loud Amen! When men are perishing, you will be existing. Church Gist. Where blood is wasted, yours cannot be wasted! You’re not permitted to die like they died, in your family and in your community. Shout the loudest Amen.
The second time was when they said nobody should pray to any other God. Daniel 6:10. Daniel 6:18-22.
- every conspiracy to kill you because of your God or because of your Church, that conspiracy is cancelled!
- those who seek to destroy you because of your commitment to God, the lions den they have prepared for you shall consume them; the fire prepared for you shall consume them.
- you shall fulfill your days!
- say the loudest Amen!
Dedication to God is very crucial. It preserves life.
How does God preserve the dedicated?
- God enhances the worth and value of those who serve Him dedicatedly. He just increases your worth and value in His eyes and in the eyes of the forces of hell. Church Gist. Malachi 3:17. Those who are dedicated are jewels of God, they’re precious valuables – your worth is enhanced, your value is enhanced. You’re not an easy wastable material. You don’t throw gold on the floor just like that, you don’t scatter diamonds just like that. Church Gist. You can scatter gravel and ordinary stone, you can crush them but not gold. Malachi 3:17. When you’re precious to God, what does He do? Isaiah 43:4; “because you’re valuable in my eyes, person die for you to live, anybody who dares you is looking for death, anybody who dares you is on a suicide mission”. Church Gist. Isaiah 43:4. No devil can dishonour. I am too aware of what I’m talking about, I don’t know the number of witches that die on my account on a daily basis, when we go to eternity, we will find out. I’m too aware of it. God is saying, “you don’t mean anything, you’re just living your life as a drunkard and as a killer and you want to look for the trouble of this one that is valuable in my eyes? I bury you! Church Gist. You want to look for the trouble of this one that is evangelizing, delivering souls from hell, serving in the choir and counselling, establing souls for eternity, serving dedicatedly? I bury you until they will not locate your burial ground.”
I beg you, please, don’t play with service. About 22 years ago, a man who is an usher in this Church, he had a challenge with somebody in the office, this woman was a cleaner in the office; a cleaner that was the principality of that office, if she spoke, the boss trembled. Church Gist. She was a notable witch, whatever she said went in the office. She made a statement and this brother said something, and she told the brother, said, “is it me you’re talking to like that? You don’t know who I am? You will see”. The brother said he shook small, then something told him, the Holy Ghost I believe, “don’t you know where you’re coming from?” At that time, I was preaching some very brutal messages. Church Gist. He said to the woman, he said, “is it me that you’re talking to like that? This earth shall reject you”. The woman went home, he went home. Next day, the woman came on her eyes, crawling on the ground begging the brother, “I am sorry. Please forgive me, I won’t talk to you like that again”. The brother said, “I will forgive you but tell me what happened first”. She said, last night somebody came and showed her two coffins and said, “these two coffins are your own, you’re dead waiting to be buried until you go and apologize to that brother. Go and apologize to him in a hurry, otherwise, you’re a dead woman”. His assignment was ushering in Church. Church Gist. Isaiah 43:4. I was sharing that story many years ago in Mararaba Church, the brother was still there ushering in Mararaba Church. We went for a crusade in the village recently in Orokam in October, I was about to share the testimony, he was standing in front there, doing usher. The same person of many years. Church Gist. In December, he was in the Otukpa crusade as well. Service that delivered him from that witch 22 years ago, that service, he’s still at. Don’t play with your Kingdom service, it can save you from premature death.
- everyone looking for you, this earth shall reject them.
- there are those who will have divine encounter visitations overnight because of you! In all the locations where you’re watching right now, the angels of the Commission will go on an assignment and deliver you from death and premature death in the name of Jesus!
God enhances the worth and the value of the dedicated. That is, “this one is not common gravel, this is gold, don’t toy with him”.
- God spares the lives of those who serve him dedicatedly. Malachi 3:17. Church Gist. God spares, that is, when anything is coming your way, He will say, “No, spare him. I need him, I need his service”.
- God takes away sickness from the life of the dedicated. Exodus 23:25.
—testimony
- everyone who is here today in dedicated service, anything the devil is challenging your life with and challenging your health and that of your family and your children, I declare that challenge is over! I command the sickness to be out now! I command the system to be normal now! In the name of Jesus!
- God fulfills the number of the days of those who dedicatedly serve. That is, “this is how long you’re meant to live, no devil can take one second out of it”. Exodus 23:26b. Church Gist. All other things being equal. As I’m talking now, the Holy Ghost is giving me a check in case somebody is overspeeding or sees danger and enters inside, and says, “God said ‘the number of your days I will fulfill’, that’s not what I’m saying. Church Gist. When you say one, you balance it with other things. But, every other thing, wisdom is intact, upright lifestyle is intact and service is intact, no devil is permitted to reduce one day out of your life.
- lift your voice and say, “I shall fulfill my days! No devil can reduce my days in Jesus’ name!”
- Dedication to God increases and enhances Spiritual authority, audacity and Power. Luke 10:17. Luke 10:19. Daniel 3:16-18. They (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) went into the fire with that authority, audacity, Power and the fire was ‘defirerized’, the flame was ‘deflamatized’, lost its power. Church Gist. When you serve God cleanly, passionately, dedicatedly and faithfully, your authority level is enhanced, the devil see it and they know.
- it’s a new day! Somebody say a loud Amen.
Conclusion;
- When you’re sold out to God, you don’t lose out in life. Nobody becomes a loser when he’s sold out to God. Whether it’s loss of favour or loss of opportunity or loss of life, when you’re sold out to God, you don’t lose out in life. Church Gist. Forget about anything you hear or see. There are times the devil some people, “do you remember so and so person, he used to go to Church very well”, the devil has such things he tells people. The just shall not live by the experiences of people, the just shall live by his faith. Revelation is superior to affliction. “The light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not”. Let me give you an example; they brought one man about 5-hours drive to Abuja many years, this would be up to 15 years now. Church Gist. The man was dying, terminal affliction. The wife drove the car and they stopped on the road about 5 times to pour water on him before they reached the area one Church. When I looked at the man, I knew him many years ago, he was like a skeleton that was wearing skin as cloth. I carried him in my hands, brought him to my chest, cried to God and brought him to his feet and he walked out like a gentleman, fainting at first, and then went on his feet. Two weeks later, he drove himself to my house, he said, “I came to show you myself that I am healed”. After a while, he fell sick again, we prayed, he became well, long story made short, after like 6-7 months later, he passed. I was troubled, “Lord, if you didn’t want to heal the man, why was he healed at all?” Church Gist. I was in that thought and perplexity until long time later, the wife cane to tell me, she said, “you may be wondering what happened; everytime you prayed for the man, he was well, he went back to the world and the affliction came back. You prayed for him again, he went back and the final time after you prayed and he was well, he told God, ‘now, that I’m well and I’m sure that my relationship with you is good, if I come home now, I will go to Heaven, can you carry me now? Church Gist. It’s better for me to go now than to go when I’m in sin’, God honoured him and carried him”. I didn’t know, I thought it was either failure of prayer or faith failure on any side. That is why you cannot use any situation as a yardstick for your expectations. Church Gist. You don’t know the transactions of people with God, you don’t know the agreement, you don’t know the full details. But for your life, your standard of expectation is the Word of God.
If James was beheaded by Herod, why did Peter not surrender his head? In the same chapter. Peter could not, it was Herod who died, not Herod. The same Herod who killed James was killed by the Angel that brought Peter out of prison. Church Gist. Hallelujah! If you ever had a James situation around where you are, understand that what happened to James, we may not understand until we go to Heaven but James is not Peter.

- I speak by prophecy hear today, you shall fulfill your days!
When you’re sold out to God, you can’t lose out in life. God will use your life as a positive example of those who trust and believe in Him.
- When you’re wasted on God, you cannot be wasted by evil. Galatians 2:20.
🎵🎶 There’s profit in being wasted Lord, on You, on You🎶🎵
There’s a life to lose and there’s a life to gain. The earthly, worldly, canal life. “He that loses his life on me will find it and he that finds his life in the world will lose it”. When you’re wasted on God, when people are saying, “see how you’re wasting your life, wasting your time, everything, Church Church”, you can’t be wasted by evil. Church Gist. They told us like that when we were growing up in the Lord. We were not partying, we were not discoing, we were not doing all the things they were doing, they told us like that. Today, the difference is like Heaven and earth.
- look at your neighbour, say, “you’re not wasting your life and if you’re wasting it on God, it’s a good type of waste”.
- Service to God produces shielding by God. To be given to the service of God is to be shielded by God. Psalm 91:1. Exodus 23:25. These things are very important. It’s important to know that dedication is a covenant, it’s important to know that service is a covenant. What does this mean? Church Gist. There are things you do for God and there are things God does for you. There are people who are only aware of what they should do but not aware of what God will do for them. Being aware that God has something to do for you is what makes up Faith. There are those who come to Church religiously and do things religiously, “I am expected to do this and that” but they don’t have an understanding that there’s something God does. Church Gist. Now, the devil does not care what belongs to you for as long as you’re not aware. He said, “my people are destroyed, not because the devil is too strong but for lack of knowledge”. Am I communicating? So, the more you know of your right in God, the more you connect the might for the fight of Faith that causes you to take a flight. Church Gist. There are many people giving tithe and offering but they don’t know that there’s something God is to do for them, they’re just doing religious obligations. There are people coming to Church but they don’t know that there’s something that Church does for them. Church Gist. So, it’s just religious and it just passes but when you know what God is to do for you and reach out in Faith, then God steps to say, “it is true, I am meant to do this for you”.
In Deuteronomy 28, God said, “if the people of Israel begin to serve other gods, there’ll be no rain, their heaven would be brass, the earth would be stone, rain would be dust, no rain”. Church Gist. You know what Elijah did? They were serving 400 altars of Baal, 450 altars of Ashtoreth and he saw in the Scripture that if they’re serving these kind of altars, they’re not entitled to rain. So, he went to God, “You said that if we’re serving other gods, there’ll be no rain in the land, why is it still raining?” God said, “I was looking for somebody to talk, I needed somebody to enforce the law”. “So, Lord, let the law be enforced”. God said, “it is enforced”. “What do I do?” God said, “go ahead and declare it” and he (Elijah) came before Ahab and said “Before God whom I stand, there shall be no rain nor due except by my word”. – 1 Kings 17:1. Church Gist. He already saw it in Scripture, settled it with God and came and stood to declare. Many times, what has not happened for you is not because God has not yet said it, it’s because you have not yet known it and enforced it. First of all, you need to know it, next, you need to enforce it. “Lord, didn’t the Word say, I shall serve the Lord my God and He shall take away sickness from me, what is hypertension doing here? What is diabetes doing here?” And God may tell you, “me myself, I don’t know. Church Gist. You can answer me back”. “It’s all right, hypertension, you have no place here, I need energy to serve God. I don’t have any Kroger pressure other than the pressure to serve God. I can’t have blood pressure”. Amen!
- it’s a new day for you. As we take the communion tonight, anything in your system that my Father has not planted that is contrary to the covenant of service shall be flushed out!
