I want to speak on the subject, “FIRE FOR DESTINY FULFILMENT.” Exodus 3:2-3. One of the very very important things to anybody’s life is to become everything God wants them to become. Church Gist. Fulfilling destiny, arriving at God’s ordained place in life is a factor, a matter that cannot be negotiated.
It was Myles Munroe of blessed memory who said, “The worst thing about life is not death; but a life that did not fulfil purpose.” Church Gist. Dying is not the most terrible thing; it is living with an unfulfilled purpose. Fulfilment of purpose is hereby called destiny.
What are the necessities to fulfilment of destiny?
There are many things but I just want to talk about a few basic things. Moses fulfilled his destiny in Deuteronomy 34:7. Church Gist. Some people may be thinking that if I say fulfilment of destiny, I will start talking about visions and those kinds of things. That is very important. But there are basic things and I will go one by one.
- Depth of spiritual passion: how deep a person is spiritually is a determinant of how far he can go in destiny. Church Gist. It is not possible for anyone to be shallow in the spirit and go far in destiny. Deeply spiritual.
- Strength in the body: a person must have physical body strength. Daniel 11:32. The weak don’t do exploits. The feeble can’t do exploits. Church Gist. There are people seated here and several people watching online who are plagued with all manner of bodily weakness. The kind of schedule we run, no weak person can run it and have any meaningful life. Flew 5 hours and reached Malawi, preached that same evening, next day you are preaching Ministers’ Conference in the morning, a conference with the President in the middle morning and then, Leadership Conference in the afternoon, and Crusade in the evening. Church Gist. And then, you took off from there 6 am which is 5 am our time here, to arrive here about 11, to proceed into the children convention that was ongoing, straight from the airport. Preaching and ministering to them and from there to another program, and then you are back to Sunday service the next day, and here we are today and the schedule continues.
Then very soon we will be with them in Zambia – schedule continues. How is that possible? It takes energy to fulfil destiny. That is needed. There is a connection between energy and destiny. Church Gist. Talking of physical energy; we have done the spiritual one. It doesn’t matter how big your vision is; your destiny is not in view if your energy is not in place.
I was talking with someone who sleeps for 4 hours a day and prays 2, 3 hours before the day breaks to hit the road pursuing business that is rolling in billions monthly effortlessly.
- Health of life: health in life. That is, you have strength, and you have health. Your liver is in order, your kidney is in order, your brain, blood pressure, blood sugar, is in order.
God’s servant, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi is 81 years old; still crisscrossing the world. Organising global crusades; age is 81. If you see him on the altar, you see him move his hand you will never believe it. Am I communicating at all? Church Gist. If sickness is tampering with your body at age 40, what does it want you to do? If Jesus tarries that you have many more years to go, that is why all of them will be roasted here today.
- Health in the mind: a mind that is clear, a mind that is sharp. A mind that is free from confusion. You are not a victim of mental illness. You are not playing with the spirit of depression and discouragement. Church Gist. Life is too short to settle for depression. Destiny is too important to allow yourself to be discouraged. Strength in the mind; sharpness of mind; clarity of thinking; sharpness in discretion; freedom from confusion; this is needed.
I have seen some confused people, so confused that at the age of 50 something they are still thinking of when to start with life.
