THERE IS A NEED IF NOT A DEBT THAT WE ALL OWE GOD CONCERNING WHAT GOD IS DOING IN OUR MIDST AS A CHURCH.
GOD HAS SHOWN HIS MIGHT IN THIS EDITION OF THE SPECIAL HOLY GHOST SERVICE, GOD HAS SAVED IN MULTITUDES, HE HAS HEALED IN MULTITUDES, HE HAS ALSO DELIVERED IN MULTITUDES.
- Pastor Wole Haastrup at RCCG March 2022 Special Holy Ghost Service || Thanksgiving Service.
Father Almighty we thank you for this day, we thank you for your faithfulness over our Church, over our Daddy and Mummy and over all your children all over the world. Thank you because you are a God who can be trusted. Father accept our thanks in the name of Jesus. Thank you for what you did on Friday, thank you for what you did yesterday, thank you for what you have begun to do today. Father, as we go to your word this morning, let your word speak to us in Jesus name. Let your word come to us, let your word come for us, let your word add value to our lives today and let your name be glorified. Father today you alone be seen, you alone be heard, you alone be glorified in Jesus mighty name we pray.
Psalm 92:1-5
We are here this morning to the glory of God for Thanksgiving Service and to give thanks. Who are we to thank? The answer is simple, our great God. What are we to thank God for? Several things. We need to thank God for who He is. He is a very great God. In our text King David told us to thank and sing to Him for all He continues to do for us in our lives as individuals and in our midst as a Church. We are here to thank Him for His mighty acts. What God does shows that He is mighty indeed. In past Special Holy Ghost Services He has shown His might, saving souls, healing, delivering and setting free. In this edition, God has saved in multitudes, He has healed in multitudes. He has also delivered in multitudes. We cannot talk about the special Holy Ghost Service without talking about our General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, to whom God gave this great vision so many years ago. Church Gist. There is a need if not a debt that we all owe God concerning what God is doing in our midst as a Church. One day I started thinking and I asked myself which am I to thank God for, is it that God brought our Daddy to RCCG or God brought RCCG, His covenant Church to Daddy Adeboye. I pondered that thought for quite some time and I realized I have to thank God for both. Actually on that day, it was a study on the life of Apostle Paul I was reading. As Saul of Tarsus we knew what he did to the early Church and then God grabbed him and the rest as they say is history.
There is a huge capacity that God has dropped in the life of our Daddy and we thank God that God saved him and began to help him to use these gifts for His kingdom. God could have saved our Daddy and planted Him in another place but because God specially loved RCCG, God brought Him here to us. As the need of Hannah for a son coincided with God’s need of a prophet, which led to the birth of Samuel. I perceive such is the case of RCCG and our Daddy G.O. Church Gist. No wonder David added in verse 5 of our text another reason for us to thank God is that His thoughts are very deep. Jeremiah 29:11-13. Thank God for His thoughts towards me. This is what I believe the Lord wants me to share today, we need to be very grateful to God. This year 2022, RCCG as a Church is 70. Our Daddy just celebrated his seventieth birthday and the Special Holy Ghost service became forty years. What a marvelous God we serve.
Everyone should stand and sing their own song of Thanksgiving to God for what He has done in our midst.
Father Almighty we are grateful once again this morning, thank you for those you have drawn to yourself this weekend, thank you for those you are drawing now to yourself. As we continue in this service, Lord our hearts let it be full of Thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ. Greater things do through your son and through this Church in the name of Jesus. Blessed be your name our Father in Jesus mighty name we pray.
