17th November 1961: Bishop Charles Harrison Mason goes to be with the Lord. He was the Founder and First Bishop of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC). He served for 54 years and passed on to glory at the age of 95.

17th November 1906: The Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention appoints George Green as the First Medical Missionary to Africa. He was the General Secretary of the Nigeria Baptist Convention who served from 1926 to 1936. He was also the General Superintendent of the Convention from 1937 to 1944.

17th November 1999: The first instance of Campus Holy Ghost Service (CHGS) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is held at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife, Osun State, 

Nigeria.

17th November 2022: Assemblies of God Nigeria elects Reverend Dr. Abel Amadi as her General Superintendent. The election took place at the 37th General Council Meeting of the Church held at Evangel University Okpoto Campus, Ebonyi State Nigeria.

17th November 2020: Pastor Sam Adeyemi of Daystar Christian Center announces through his Instagram handle that he has been accepted into Forbes Coaching Council. Forbes Coaches Council is a vetted professional organization for respected business, career and professional coaches.
