TODAY IN HISTORY: 18th August

18th August 2017: Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God visits former President of Nigeria,  Muhammadu Buhari in London. Pastor Adeboye visited the former President who had been away in London for medical attention since May that year to extend prayers and well wishes.

18th August 2022: Dr Paul Enenche arrives Lilongwe, Malawi for the General Assembly of the Malawi Assemblies of God and meets President Lazarus Chakwera before ministering on ‘Jesus Christ the Difference Maker’ with the theme-Transgenerational Impactors. The next day, President Chakwera worshipped at the evening session and also ministered/listened to the message at the program.

18th August 2021: The Redeemed Christian Church of God, North and South America Continents otherwise known as ‘RCCG The Americas’ commences their 25th Annual Convention in Greenvile, Texas USA. Ministers in the Conference included Pastors Enoch and Folu Adeboye, Bishop George Bloomer, Pastor James Fadel, J.J. Hairston, Tim Godfrey and a host of other anointed ministers.

18th August 1688: John Bunyan, author of Pilgrim’s Progress preaches his last sermon, in London. He went to be with the Lord a few days later.
