21 October 1962: David Ibiyeomie is born in Bonny Island, Eastern Region of Nigeria (now in Rivers State). He is the Lead Pastor, Salvation Ministries: Home of Success and the Founder, David Ibiyeomie Foundation.

21 October 2002: Dedication Service/ Founders Day for Covenant University (CU). CU was established by the World Mission Agency arm of David Oyedepo Ministries International. During the thanksgiving held that day with a dance through the new CU campus built in 7 months, Bishop David Oyedepo laid down on the sun burnt road at the gate and felt a hot wave of heat pass through his body. According to him, that was the last heat he ever felt concerning CU which as at today is the best University in Nigeria and a top Private University in Africa.

21 October 2015: Pastor E. A. Adeboye receives a certificate of recognition from the Congress of the United States.

21 October 1974: Reverend Laurie Idahosa is born. She is the wife of Bishop Feb Idahosa – son of Archbishop Benson Idahosa, Founder of the Church of God Mission International Incorporated.

21 October 2012: Covenant University (CU) celebrates 10 years of existence, announces Vision 1 of 10 in 10. This vision simply stated that CU would become one of the top 10 universities in the world in 10 years from that date.

21 October 2020: Pastor Adeboye condemns the attacks launched by the Nigerian military on unarmed young people, who were peacefully protesting police brutality as EndSARS protests.
