21st December 1995: Bishop David Oyedepo receives a divine instruction concerning Winners’ Chapel; “Raise me this people that I have given into your hands. Put brighter light into them, impact greater life into them, release them into their destinies. Provoke their potentials, enlarge their capacity for excellence, position them effectively in the Covenant. School them into exploits……”.

21st December 1992: Reverend Joshua Talena is commissioned to preach the Gospel. He is the Senior Pastor of Shepherd’s House International also known as Agape Power Assembly.

21st December 1807: John Newton goes to be with the Lord. He was an Anglican clergyman and hymn writer and he is noted for being the author of the hymns “Amazing Grace” and “Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken”.

21st December 1870: The Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in America appoints its first two bishops. The elected bishops were William Henry Miles and Richard H. Vanderhorst.
