25th April, 1904: Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola is born in Odo-Owa, Oke-Ero, Kwara State, Nigeria. He was the first General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church. He went to be with the Lord on 26th July, 1959 aged 55.

25th April, 1985: Bishop David Oyedepo publishes and releases his first 2 books; ‘The Miracle Seed’ and ‘The Law of Faith’.



25th April, 1979: Revd Dr. S. T. Ola Akande is elected as the third Nigerian to occupy the office of the General secretary of the Nigerian Baptist Convention. During his 12-year tenure, he instituted the honour roll and award of certificates for outstanding Churches. This initiative served as encouragement for Churches to be engaged in healthy competition in Church growth and development.

25th April, 1887: Radio evangelist Charles E. Fuller, known for his “Old Fashioned Revival Hour” and for cofounding Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California, is born in Los Angeles, USA.

25th April, 1967: Twin sisters Jane Amenaghawon Pela and Joy Amenkhienan are born. Pastor Jane Pela is the wife of Pastor Omar Pela; co-Pastor of Grace Trybe Lagos, an author and a songwriter. Pastor Joy Amenkhienan is the wife of Rev. Tom Amenkhienan and the Director of International Missions for South-East Asia, Northern Region 1 and Middlebelt Region, Nigeria of Christ Embassy.
