TODAY IN HISTORY: 25th January

25th January 1985: School of Disciples, an educational institution of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is established. It is a vision of Pastor E. A. Adeboye and Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye. The School of Disciples was started to train workers and ministers to become effective disciples of Jesus Christ and to prepare them to become Pastors who will head the parishes of the Church worldwide.

25th January 1963: Pastor Paul Adeolu Adefarasin is born to Justice Joseph and Hilda Adefarasin of Ijebu Ode Ogun State Nigeria. He founded House on The Rock Church in 1994 which has grown into numerous branches across the globe. He is the convener of The Experience, the biggest worship concert in the continent of Africa. He is married to Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin and they are blessed with 3 children.

25th January 2003: The New General Secretariat complex of the Christ Apostolic Church is dedicated. It is located at Anlugbua, Basorun, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Movement to the new complex started that same month and was completed in May that same year. Expansion of the General Secretariat building was undertaken in 2016.

25th January 2022: Professor Osadolor Imasogie goes to be with the Lord. He was the first African Principal (President) of the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary. He was aged 94.

25th January 2012: The Father’s Delight International Ministry is founded. It was founded by Rev. Joshua Tende and his wife, Rev. Mojisola Tende. It is located at Graceland, close to Yankarfe, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria.
