6th February 2021: The groundbreaking ceremony of the Arena Of Ease is held. It is the First Ultra Modern Church Project of Divine Ambassadors Christian Assembly (DACA) founded by Pastor Timothy Benedict. The Church is located at Owerri, Imo State Nigeria.
6th February 2018: The Episcopal Synod of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) holds an election for the successor to the then incumbent Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos (Most Reverend Ephraim Ademowo) who was to retire in August of the same year. Right Reverend Humphrey Olumakaiye won the election with 109 votes against 59 votes secured by Most Reverend Michael Fape. 161 Bishops participated in the election at Ilorin, Kwara State Nigeria.
6th February 1946: LeTourneau University is founded as LeTourneau Technical Institute in Longview, Texas. It is an Interdenominational Christian University founded by Robert Gilmour LeTourneau.
6th February 1564: John Calvin preaches his last sermon three months before going to be with the Lord. He was carried to Church (St. Pierre Cathedral, Geneva Switzerland) in a chair. He was known for his impact on the fundamental doctrines of Protestantism. He passed on to glory at the age of 55.
6th February 2019: The 5th Annual birthday lecture of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) holds at the University of Lagos with the theme “Peace: The Global Quest.” It was organized by the Triumphant Elders Consultative Forum of the RCCG.
6th February 2023: The Exponential Network, an initiative of The Elevation Church, Nigeria commences her 3 days Conference, themed “Resurgence: The Emerging Church.” The Conference is known globally as the gathering of ministerial leaders across Africa with a mission to trigger a spark that will equip ministers with the required capabilities to lead the Church amid the new normal.
6th February 1857: Presbyterian Minister Edward Norris Kirk arrives in Paris to establish its American Church. He was known in the United States of America as a preacher, revivalist and author who went to be with the Lord at the age of 72. Among those converted under his ministry was Dwight L. Moody.
6th February 1870: Mary Groves Müller, the wife of George Müller goes to be with the Lord at the age of 73. George Müller was a British Evangelist and the Director of the Ashley Down Orphanage in Bristol, England.
