He was an English Baptist Preacher and Pastor of the New Park Street Chapel (The Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London.
7th October 2004: George Green Baptist College, Ogbomoso, Oyo State Nigeria begins her academic activities. This took off with 63 pioneer students and 10 pioneer tutors. The college was named after Dr. George Green, the General Secretary of the Nigeria Baptist Convention who served from 1926 to 1936. He was also the General Superintendent of the Convention from 1937 to 1944.
7th October 1830: George Müller weds Mary Groves. He was an Evangelist and Founder of the Plymouth Brethren Movement (Assemblies of Brethren). He also Founded the Ashley Down Orphanage while serving as a Missionary in Bristol England, United Kingdom.
7th October 1957: Marcus Davon Lamb is born in Georgia, United States of America. He was a Minister and the Founder of Daystar Television Network, a faith-based network dedicated to spreading the Gospel.
