9th January 2017: The Nigerian Government suspends a Corporate Governance Code issued by the Country’s Financial Reporting Council (FRC) which states that leaders of Not-For-Profit Organisations (Churches and Mosques inclusive) to lead for a maximum of 20 years. This directive was the reason why Pastor E.A. Adeboye announced a National Overseer for the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Nigeria 2 days earlier.
9th January 2022: The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) protests against the removal of Nigeria from the United States Religious Intolerance List. The Religious Intolerance List is a list of countries that violate religious freedom.
9th January 2009: Yoido Full Gospel Church Sunday Service was featured in a British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) documentary, ‘Around the World in 80 Faiths.’ Around the World in 80 Faiths is a television series documenting the various faiths around the World.
9th January 2019: The Federal Government of Nigeria approves Dominion University as the 73rd Private University in Nigeria. Dominion University was pioneered by Victory International Church aka Rehoboth Cathedral in Ibadan, Oyo State of Nigeria.
