Every one of you that went out yesterday, God bless you. May you be specially blessed. This Month is a month of ‘The Faith That Works’. And from Tuesday we have Week Of Spiritual Empowerment – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday! We will be looking at THE TRIUMPHANT PRAISE (SOUL WINNING) – PART 2. You will say: What has praise got to do with soul-winning? You will find out later. Church Gist. Life is of no value if you’re not living it for Christ. The primary duty of every believer is soul-winning. Mark 16:15. John 15:16. So you don’t say: ‘I have my life’. He (God) has your life, you don’t have your life. There’s an owner. John 15:16. So you should win (souls) and make sure they abide. Are you getting what God is saying? John 15:16. Shout hallelujah!
-May God answer every of your prayer requests in the name of Jesus.
After being saved, the next most important thing you and I should do is to make sure people are introduced to Jesus. It is wisdom to win souls and that’s the only way to keep the Church of Jesus moving. The Church will not advance if we stop winning souls. But the primary duty of believers is being neglected these days. Let me ask you these sincere questions: How many souls have you won to Christ this year? You, answer yourself. Church Gist. How many persons have you invited to Church this year? Many are afraid of losing their jobs but they are not concerned about a lot of persons going to hell without Christ. He says: ‘Pray!!! I don’t want to lose my job but you’re not after the soul that’s going to hell. Some even avoid telling people about Jesus because they feel that ‘how will the man feel’? Hear this, soul winning is the most important assignment of a believer. It is our responsibility to save souls so that they can be delivered from the path of destruction.
What is soul winning?
Soul winning is the act of leading the lost back to Christ. It is introducing Jesus with the aim of returning them back to God. Church Gist. Soul winning is simply leading someone who is not born again and telling him: ‘Jesus is Lord’!
Who carries out soul-winning? Is it the pastors, evangelists? Soul winning is for every one of us. Mark 16:15. It is individualistic. Witnessing and leading sinners to Christ is a personal responsibility. Mark 16:15. John 15:16. Christianity is a personal race, it requires personal input. Christians are no longer doing enough to lead souls to Christ, they now shift the responsibility; acting, ‘I’m too busy, I’m too civilized’. When it comes to soul-winning, ‘No! I’m very busy with my job. I’m very busy with my assignment’. But what matters most in the heart of God, people are no longer interested. You must take soul-winning seriously. Luke 2:49. Romans 12:11. Church Gist. So winning souls is business! You must give it a business approach to come out of reproach. If the Church of Jesus will keep spreading and advancing globally, we must keep winning souls. Shout hallelujah! I was talking to some men of God yesterday and the Word just dropped straight from Heaven. I was talking to them and I said: Most of our African brothers who left Africa for the European countries and other parts of the World went for revival as men of God but they ended up with survival. They’re supposed to bring revival in those nations but they went now for stomach – survival. So no more revival. Most of them from Africa here went with fire, they got to America, got to Europe, got to other parts of the World. Instead of going for revival, they ended up in survival. What to eat, what to drink, so no fire again in nations they went to. These are people who were fasting, praying, they got to nations, they started looking for business; in the process, the real thing they went for just died.
You can’t be revived and not survive because when you’re revived the money will come. True? The money they’re looking for is actually in them being revived but they left the revival, doing businesses up and down then the businesses are not even going. Church Gist. Can a pastor in Europe pastor 5,000 (people) and be broke? No way! 2,000 sef? Will not be broke. In fact, 1,000 sef will not be broke but some of them 200, 100, then they run around businesses because the real thing that God wants to bless them with, they left it. And that’s what is happening again here in Africa. We come to Church but ut we are not in touch. “Soul winning? Papa preach make I get money.”
Mark 8:37. Soul winning is no longer… In fact, some people even when you preach soul-winning, they get angry. He says: ‘Na the thing wey em go talk for Church’? Church Gist. ‘Wetin I go talk? Okay, when I preach prosperity you get angry, now I preach soul winning you get angry wetin you want’? People are just difficult! And the people who talk such things are the people who don’t win souls. Win souls!
Why must you win souls?
So that you don’t think that it’s me. Put your name. Why must I win souls? Put your own name. Why must David Ibiyeomie win souls? Put your name so that you know it’s you God is talking to. Church Gist. So that when you read your note, you say: ‘I’m the one’. You know in Church we always think of somebody else. The Gospel is for you and I true? Why must I win souls?
1. It is a commandment.
And commandments are to be obeyed, they are to be obeyed. Matthew 28:19-20. Shout hallelujah! He says: ‘Go’! It’s a command! Our primary responsibility is to be on the go, until you are on the go, you cannot be a go-getter. It is a non-transferable responsibility, you must be on the go. Church Gist. Until you obey His commandment, you cannot be a commander. In the First Service, He was so serious, He said: ‘Call a soul winner to pray and also a non-soul winner’. The two of them I demonstrated, the non-soul winner’s prayer has no effect. You know why your prayers have no effect? No soul winning! You shout, God will say: ‘I will not hear you’! It is not how far you’ve been in Church, it’s how you affect His heart.
2. It makes you wise.
Proverbs 11:30. More souls, more wisdom. Proverbs 8:15-16. If you want to rule on this Earth, you must rule by wisdom and wisdom comes by soul winning.
-May you operate in the wisdom of God.
3. It is the heartbeat of God.
Luke 15:7. You want to touch God’s heart? Go and win souls. Use your money to win souls. Yesterday, we went out for soul-winning with some young men in our team. The young men are in this Service now – A group of young men in a village, youths! They’re all in this Second Service. And I said: ‘You people, come to Church’ and one of the young men said: ‘I will get a bus for them’. In a team! Where we went, one of the ‘SIE young men’ said: ‘I will get a bus for them, to come to Church’. Church Gist. I said: ‘Make sure you get bus because I will get the… ‘Papa! You, don’t worry you can take care of your own, this one I will do it’. And I was told by my wife that they are in Church here. You don’t know what you’re missing, not winning souls. Now, those young men definitely will go and transform their community. Is that true? So use everything in you to win what? Souls. Now, Kingdom advancement prayer is good, physical service; you’re an usher, you’re in choir, they are good but soul-winning is the most important. Listen! If you go to school, you have points for every course, there are some units, they can say this one is 2 units, some call it points, some call it units.
The greatest of all is soul-winning. Your ushering is not as important as soul-winning. Can I tell you something? My preaching is not as important as soul-winning. You see this preaching I’m preaching? Soul-winning is more important. Did you hear me? Did you hear me at all? Anything you do in Church, it cannot be compared to soul-winning. Give all the offering you can, it’s not equal to soul-winning. It is the greatest heartbeat of God. Say I hear! You come, sweep the whole Church from the altar to the end, clean the whole toilet, it does not match soul-winning. You sing all the songs, have soprano, alto, tenor, bass. It does not match soul-winning. Play all the instruments, it does not match soul- winning. John 3:16.
4. You become a partner of God.
When you’re a soul winner, two of you, you’re in partnership. You and God are in what? Partnership. Do you want to be a partner? Can God partner with you and you fail? No way! You know why your business is struggling? You don’t win souls. Even your staff, they are not born again. That is, your own driver who brings you to Church is not born again. The people working with you, all of them, no one have you led to Christ. In fact, you sef you’re not born again. Church Gist. You are ‘born against’. If you are not born again, you are not winning souls, you are ‘born against’ because you are against the Gospel of Jesus. You are either born again or you are ‘born against’. Most of you are ‘born against’ because you don’t bring any soul. You even drive the ones that come. John 4:35-36. That is, stop procrastinating. Stop saying, ‘Last week, they teach (it), I will do it one day’. He says: ‘Now is the time, stop saying tomorrow’. He said: ‘Just look, the entire World is ripe for harvest’. Shout hallelujah! So, when you win souls, God puts your name on His payroll. You become a partner in His business and you become a shareholder. And being in partnership with God is the most ‘beneficiary’ thing on the Earth. No one works with Him and loses on the Earth.
-You will never be a loser.
Just partner with God in soul-winning, you will see God in action.
-Everyone going through any form of hard times and hardship. As you partner with God, I command that hardship to come to an end. Shout a loud Amen!
5. It facilitates speedy answers to your prayers.
When you are a soul winner, before you open your mouth, ‘Waa’, God answers. Let me say this to all of us, prayer warriors, you know why your prayers are almost wearying you? They’re wearying you. You are almost worn out with prayers. Every day, you do all night. You’re not the one that brought ekwensu oo (Translated in Igbo Language: devil). You’re not the one that brought the devil. Church Gist. Every night you get up (Illustrating prayer). All those prayers, before you die, win souls. When you’re a soul winner, you’re praying like this: ‘kam’!! You pray small, God answers. Some of you, the way you pray, you pray for one small thing, pray oo!! Haa! Are you the one that brought the devil? You know why satan is resisting you? No soul-winning. So you do like this (Illustrating). ‘In our Church, they say 45 days’. 45 days for one… My friend! When you win souls you say…
Now, there are two sets of people: Ask! You shall be given. Seek! Knock! That is O-level. Then A-level, while you are yet speaking, that is before you open your mouth, God answers you. I’m standing on the altar of God, I’ve not prayed for money from 1997 till date; my wife is a witness we’ve never knelt down when there was no dime to say: ‘Oh! God! In the name of Jesus! Dollar! Naira! Pounds! Euro! Come’! We’ve never prayed it and we have never lacked. Church Gist. Why? I win souls. So before the need, supply is there. We’ve never come to a crossroad, never! Are you hearing me now? (Illustrating). You even dream money. Some of you, even when you’re sleeping, you do like this, naira!! Your wife will now wake you, ‘My husband, what are you doing like this’? Some of you even in your sleep you say it out, ‘Money oo, money oo I dey look for you’. Your husband will wake you and say, ‘Which kind money you dey look for’? You don’t need all that. Life can be very simple! Are you hearing me?
John 15:16. So you want God to answer your prayers? Then be a soul winner. So, when you’re a soul winner, you say: ‘Father’! He answers. In the First Service, the Holy Ghost gave me a vivid illustration. I called a pastor forth, then called two young men who went for evangelism yesterday. And called a young man who did not go for evangelism. And I said two of them should pray. The one who did not go for evangelism shouted, shouted! The other one just said: ‘Be blessed’, the pastor went under anointing. Church Gist. You may be pastor, apostle, bishop, archbishop, any title; if you’re not a soul winner your title is without entitlement. God does not respect title, He respects soul winning. ‘Do you know how many years I’ve been in this Church? We were the founders’. The founders! Even if you’re a co-founder; before you’re confounded, win souls. That you occupy seat here does not make you to be an old (member). ‘You know? We’re the ones who started the Church’. How many souls have you won? You now occupy seat as if you’re the chairman of the Church.
‘We’ve been in this Church from 199…’ And so? How many souls have you won? ‘Na we be the old members’! Get lost! If you’re not a soul winner, you’re a ‘no member’. You’re a number! There are numbers and there are members. Soul winners are members, non-soul winners are numbers. They know everything in the Church yet they will never do anything to promote the Kingdom. Let me say this to you: God commanded soul-winning. Jesus, before His departure on earth, instructed us to go and make disciples of all nations. Church Gist. Matthew 28:19-20. There are millions out there yearning for redemption but there’s no one to lead them to Christ. This is why you must engage in soul-winning. Romans 10:13-15. He says: Who is the preacher? You go say: The preacher na David Ibiyeomie nah. Let’s see from Bible whether I’m the preacher. Preacher is you oo. He says: ‘Go ye into the World and preach the Gospel…’ He didn’t say: ‘Go ye into the World and pastor’. You know? The preacher is you and I. Go ye into the World and preach the Gospel. Every one of us including you sitting, looking at me. Even if you’re here for the first time, you’re the one.
Romans 10:15. So when you go to preach, God makes your life what? Beautiful. Young lady! You know why nobody wan marry you? Wey you ‘wowo’ like that? No Gospel. You rub Pan-Cake, rub, nobody get your time, no preaching. With Pan-Cake, na useless men dey look for you. Go and preach the Gospel. Listen! Marriage is not by Pan-Cake, marriage is by the glory of God. Are you hearing me? Preach, you no go preach. You go dey rub Pan-Cake, dey rub cream. The cream dem, men dey even vex. Go and preach. He says: ‘How beautiful…’ You just carry so much glory! Church Gist. Young person, somebody go just see you say: “Chai! Na this one I go marry.” Did you hear me? 50 years of glorified friendship is not equal to one day of marriage. If you want to marry? Go and preach the Gospel. You will see glory on you like this! Young man, do you know why anywhere you go they reject you? It’s this thing! You say: ‘With all the Church I dey go, dem dey pursue me every time’. Because no beauty, no glory on you. (When) you go, your face e be like say you carry masquerade. Everywhere, they pursue you, pursue you, pursue you. In the spirit, they see masquerade on your face, they say: ‘Come on! Get out here’. Romans 10:15. You’re not beautiful nah. When someone is not beautiful, what’s the opposite of beauty? Ugly.
So look at it (Romans 10:15), am I the one that wrote the Bible? How beautiful! So you’re not beautiful. What will be the answer, ugly. So everywhere you go, you are ‘wowo’. (Laughing). If you’re not beautiful, what is it? It’s ‘woworism’. Either you are beautiful or you’re what? ‘Woworism’. Many of you are carrying what? ‘Wowo’. You enter somewhere you wear better suit, wear perfume; they look at you and say: ‘Oga, commot here’! (Laughing). God says: ‘How can I beautify you? No Gospel. Church Gist. So commot here’! You say: ‘I could not go Church, they just dey pursue me up and down. Papa pray for me even pour oil on me’. And so? How beautiful! But the man who preaches the Gospel, as he appears, ‘Oh! How are you? What can we do for you’? God beautifies him. Are you getting what I’m saying now? And if God beautifies you, nobody can despise you. You don’t know what you’re missing not preaching the Gospel. You think everything is by prayer? No! There are things you do to attract God’s Glory! Say: I hear!
There is nowhere I will go to in this World that I will not be honoured not because I’m carrying… it’s, I just radiate (glory). My wife is a witness. Anywhere we appear, if people are queuing, I don’t queue. Look! You don’t know what. Let people queue, I will just be distinguished. Anywhere in the World! Anywhere I appear, you will see honour not because I’m a pastor oo (but) because of this thing (Soul winning). Are you getting me? I’ve never gone anywhere, they put me in the crowd. For where? I must be separated. I break protocols but okay! Go for soul-winning. Church Gist. Yesterday now, we said let’s go (for soul-winning), you stayed in your house. Nothing you dey do oo. Not that you did anything. ‘I’m very busy’. Busy where? Wey the money wey you get wey you busy. Busy!!! People wey get money dey go for soul winning. You, wey! How much you get? Very busy! How much? Two hundred thousand (naira). Na em you dey busy? Two hundred thousand (naira)! The people wey get the money sef, dey win souls. Then you nothing! Shishi you no get. I’m very busy!! ‘I dey wait for call’. Poor people wait for call, the rich go for soul-winning. The harvest is overripe, we shall rush to preserve it from decadence in Jesus’ name. God expects you and I to preserve His people from destruction. Soul winning is a sign that you love God. If you love Him, you look for a way to salvage His people. Engage in soul-winning and become a highflyer for life. Shout a better Amen! How many will be soul winners?
Now there’s a new vision: Vision Win and Establish. The vision of One Week, One Soul is gone. We’re not… That Vision chapter is closed. Now the new vision is Win and Establish. One soul! Between now and (the) end of June. This is the new vision. You will win one soul, don’t go for plenty! One! The person will come to Church, the person will do foundation class. The person will be baptized in water, baptized in (the) Holy Ghost. If you have money, you sponsor the person in Bible School till the person (is) established. One! One soul! Every member of this Church, vision Win and what? Establish. One Week One Soul is gone! The only permanent thing is change. You win one soul. Don’t go for plenty, go for one. Make sure that one soul is established. Church Gist. Not (that) we won 500 souls, we no see any three. We don’t want to hear those testimonies again. One soul is enough. One! If God has given you (the) capacity to win plenty, no problem but he must be established. One soul! Every member here. That means we must double. Every member must have one, that is by June ending. You can look back and say this soul is from me. If you don’t have somebody by June ending, you’re the most useless person on earth to God and to His Kingdom. Are you hearing me now? You must win one (soul). One soul! Don’t go for plenty. One!! Say I hear! And instructions are to be obeyed. Rise to your feet! Say I hear!
You say: ‘What has this got to do with praise’? We will show you from Scriptures. What has soul-winning got to do with praise? Jeremiah 30:19. That’s praise. Is that praise? Then, when we praise God He said I will multiply them, they shall not be few. That’s for the Church. So Salvation Ministries – God, multiply us. Jeremiah 30:19. Then for you and I, we will see the glory of God. If God puts glory on you, you can never be the same. So our praise is in two dimensions: Multiplication for Salvation Ministries, glorification for you. So you understand? So it will be multiplication with glorification. Church Gist. No more ‘shamification’. Do you understand me? Lord! Multiply your Church as we praise you then glorify us as we pray. If God put glory on you my brother, your life can never be the same. You know glory? Oh my God! If you carry glory anywhere you go, doors will just be like this (Illustrating). Glory? This is what glory is. (Illustrating) – Many of you without glory. This is without glory, when somebody is like this (Illustrating using someone covered with a cloth). Can you see this man? This is how many of you are, you go somewhere, no glory! They can’t see you, no honour on you but when God glorifies you, this is it! That thing covering you, He removes it. Do you understand now? I will take another illustration.
Now this is it! (Illustrating). Without glory nothing happened, did you understand now? When God puts His glory on you, the same you, there will be differences. You enter somewhere they reject you, they just say: Wow!! Come!! We don’t know why last week we could not sign your paper. Come, we will sign it this week’. You know why? Now you carry glory! Church Gist. So we’re going to praise God, ‘Lord! Multiply Salvation Ministries and then glorify we your people’. So you understand the difference? You’ll be shocked, two dimensions of praise. 7 minutes, we’re going to praise God, what is it? Multiplication and glorification. Multiplication for the Church, glory upon His people. Did you understand the difference? That’s the two dimensions we are praising God for.
—-PRAISES AND PRAYERS—–
Thank You, Lord! In Jesus’ mighty name. Few weeks ago, in Online Morning Devotion. God gave me specific words and said that day by 3 p.m. – It was so direct from Heaven. He said by 3 p.m. that day, documents would be signed and people have testified not one, not two, not three from all over the World. Church Gist. Far away in the Philippines, somebody testified. That document that was supposed to be signed, they signed exactly 3 p.m. Nigerian time. Now I hear God! I hear God as a man hears his friend. He said to me:
-Laws and policies would be suspended for somebody who is in this Service in the name of Jesus. God will break protocols, He will bypass human laws just to give you that miracle in the name of Jesus. You will see natural barriers broken, scientific laws suspended. Church Gist. God will bypass protocols to bless someone in this Service and someone hearing this Message online, anywhere in the name of Jesus. By this praise, it is done! Somebody who believes it say, Amen. People will testify! I’ve never heard God without a testimony to confirm His Word.
