It is light that gives meaning to life. Ask a blind man, the whole world is without form and void. He can’t see anything. Church Gist. The Bible refers to the light of the world as the light of life. If you catch any light from this book, it manifests itself in real life. John 1:3.
Lord Jesus, we are here waiting for an encounter with the light of your Word. Let your light break forth into the life of everyone and let no one return without a testimony to share. Take all the praise in Jesus’ precious name. Thank you, Lord.
Remember we are still in the midst of the year, a season of revival ordained for a dramatic change of story for every engaging believer.
– No one here shall be left out.
– Your crown, another man will not take.
– All your mockers will know you are serving a living God.
– God will turn many of us into surprises to ourselves.
Habakkuk 3:17.
– You are changing levels.
If we care to do what He says to do, we will never need to beg Him to do what He says He will do. Fill the water pots with water. Okay Sir. Take a cup of it and give it to the governor. Okay Sir. The sweetest wine ever. Just do what He says to do, you won’t need to beg Him to do what He says He will do. The greatest problem of the believer is obedience, wilful obedience. Church Gist. You know what you need to do and you just won’t do it and you are saying “God you must”. You can’t command him in disobedience. When your obedience is fulfilled you will avenge every disobedience. When our obedience is complete, every disobedience will bow to our authority. In the name of Jesus, the plague of disobedience is broken off everyone’s life.
UNDERSTANDING THE BLESSEDNESS OF A REVIVAL 4
This is the last in that series. Today is also our Covenant Day of Marital Breakthroughs, God will calm every storm in every marriage. God will terminate every siege of Marital delay. Tension will be dissolved this morning. In a revival, everlasting mountains are brought down. Whatever appears a generational curse on anyone’s life maritally, Jesus will bring it down today. When God is out of the equation in one’s life, frustration sets in. Psalm 14:1. When God is out of the equation, one becomes a fool. Frustration sets in when God is out of the equation in any man’s life. Proverbs 3:35. While the wise are going from glory to glory, the foolish are going from shame to shame. Church Gist. When God is out of the equation in any man’s life, frustration sets in. You shall not know frustration anymore. Do you know why? Without Him, you can do nothing. John 15:5. Without God we are utterly helpless. It may appear something is working but like a pack of cards overnight you can’t see it again. Romans 9:16. 1 Samuel 2:9. Frustration sets in when God is out of the equation in any man’s life. A revival is a time when God shows up in the midst of His people. I am here for your rescue. I am here for your salvation, I am here to give meaning to your life.
A genuine heart for God is the anchor of every great destiny in the kingdom. It is not praying and breaking your head for it. A genuine heart for God is the anchor of every great destiny in the kingdom. “Abraham, a friend of God” and love is the chord of friendship. Abraham became a nation like a dream of the night. God picked him up at 75, he wasn’t too old for God to make a wonder out of his life. We saw his heart for God. Whatever God said was above every other thing he had in plan. “Get thee out of thy country..” he went out. “Circumcise all the male born in your household” he began with himself. “Take your only son Isaac and sacrifice him”. I mean here was an emperor at that time. He had a schedule but whatever God said was final. Church Gist. That was his heart. Today, Christ died to bring us into the blessings of Abraham. Generational blessings. Paul, a man with a heart for God. Those folks said, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men”. Every great destiny anchors on a genuine heart for God and the interests of His kingdom. Paul said, “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain”. Paul is still alive today. We are calling his name every day. He has refused to die. There are many names here that will never die. Your genuine heart for God will keep speaking for years to come. 1 Corinthians 2:9.
When God occupies the central stage of a man’s life, all things begin to work together for his good. Romans 8:28. They are in love with God and God turns them into a living wonder among men. What eyes have not seen, what ears have not heard, they are the order of happenings in their lives. That will be the case in your life. As you give God His rightful place in your life, things will keep going right for you. Matthew 22:36-40. When God and the interests of His kingdom become one’s priority for living, he steps into the realm of fearful favour with God. Psalm 102:13-15. Zion is the church. He favours every aspect of it. Church Gist. Fearful favour is what pertains to those who make God and the interests of His kingdom their priority for living. Matthew 6:33. We serve an awesome God. We just need to come awake to the things required of us so that God can be awake to the things He said He will do. He won’t do it until we do the things He said we should do. Zechariah 7:13. You hear me first before you can commit me to do what you want me to do. You cannot commit me by crying, you commit me by obeying what I asked you to do. Then you won’t beg me to do it. Fearful favour! The kind your church is enjoying today. The things that happen with us as a church, the world cannot understand it. Fearful favour! Stress free adventure. God glorifying breakthroughs. That will be your experience.
To be without God in this world is to be without hope which is the breeding ground for depression. People who are having a great walk with God never see depression. In His presence, there is fullness of joy, pleasure forevermore. You can’t find depression in a man that is actively walking with God. You can’t find it. A lot of people talk about burnout in ministry, I have never seen burn out and I work the hours, the hours also work me. With God at the centre of your life, your hope is alive. You can see the end of the tunnel in every conflict. Hebrews 12:1. I curse the siege of depression in your life. Psalm 16:11. Walking with Jesus engraces the believer to live above depression naturally without any pressure. Church Gist. Somebody asked me years ago, Brother David, do you ever have any problems? I said maybe it came and I didn’t know. I have not had people say sorry to me for many years in my life. I don’t look sorrowful. Sorry for what? Some enjoy it so much. The more sorry they say to you, the more your sorry is compounding. There was a battle raging against the Most High God, He said “He that sitteth in heaven shall laugh”. Something is breaking forth in your life. Ephesians 2:12. To be without God is to be without hope but by redemption we have been begotten into a lively hope. 1 Peter 1:3. So we have a living hope. Ecclesiastes 9:4. When you are joined to God, your hope is alive. When you disconnect, it is lost. So stay connected and keep your hope alive.
You have heard me say several times that I am not surprised that grace has brought us to where we are. I would have been surprised if it didn’t. We have done what He says to do, He is committed to do what He says He will do. Church Gist. Since inception, we have been pushing God and the interest of His kingdom as a church, he has never stopped adding colour to us. 42 years and counting. Awesome God, ever dependable. It is your turn.
No one can be on two sides at the same time, everyone has to choose which side to be. 1 Kings 18:21. Joshua 24:15. It is a choice to make. You can’t serve God and mammon, you have to choose one and despise the other. Everyone’s lot in life is a function of his choice. Deuteronomy 30:19. My prayer in this awesome season is that you make a good choice to go with God and everything will start going well with you. A choice to serve the living God or other gods is yours and mine to make. A choice to serve the living God is a choice for all round rest in a world of unrest. Including marital, business, career, children, all round rest. A choice to serve God in truth and in deed is a choice for all round rest in a world of unrest. Church Gist. The world is under the siege of unrest, everybody is running helter-skelter. They entered into a covenant to seek God with all their heart and with the whole of their desire and God gave them rest round about. Roundabout means in all areas. You will have rest over your children, your health, over your marriage, over your career and business. That is what a choice to serve God with all your heart and with the whole of your desire guarantees. Psalm 32:10. Come and taste that God is good. Let’s stop playing religion, let’s come real. God is not a myth. God is real.
No one can make God first in his life and miss his enviable place in destiny. When the widow of Zarapheth obeyed Elijah “make for me first”. She became the envy of the whole city for that season. She was robust, others were haggard. Your enviable destiny is secured if you will care to make God first and watch what He does with your life. I signed that deal with my heavenly Father. I have said that many times, many are tired of hearing it but I am not tired of saying it. It gives me natural fulfilment, no coercion. Matthew 6:33. They may not happen today but they are reserved for you. Church Gist. Incorruptible, that means indestructible reserved for you. No devil can destroy it. If you will stay true to your covenant to serve Him. You can’t give God the first place and not emerge an enviable citizen. All the ones who will rather die than miss God in scriptures were enviable front liners. Abraham, Moses, Daniel, Nehemiah, David, a man after God’s own heart became a hero as a teenager. You can’t give God His place and miss your place. I have been on several prayer and fasting episodes, I have not identified one where I went for myself. It was not prayer episodes when I got called to ministry, several before I got called. Oh God manifest yourself to this generation. Church Gist. You know the husbandman that laboureth will be the first partaker of the fruits. If you don’t carry the kingdom in your heart, you have a long way to go. I have never branched in any man’s house in my life “please can you assist me on what to eat?” yet I have never gone fasting because of lack of food. Somebody’s story is changing. Romans 15:4. Hebrews 13:7. When I saw Hagin’s depth of faith, I said Lord, I want this. You can’t access the grace you don’t crave for. If everybody in this Church will tap into the grace of kingdom first that I carry, we will turn the world upside down in no second. Not hanging somewhere and thinking I know something will happen someday, sometime. It won’t happen. You must do what He says first before it happens. I see an unbeatable army of people here today. It will impact on your marital life. When you are walking with God, the devil will have no way to mess you up.
For all my sons and daughters on the line for miracle marriage. A friend of mine asked me, Brother David, let’s start praying for life partners. I said I don’t need it. He said what do you mean? I said my own is covered in Matthew 6:33. As I am doing that one He is adding other things to me. I knew how much it covers then. The story of our marriage will look fake because how can it be real that people will live like that forever? Church Gist. Are they telling us the truth? I have not prayed one day “Oh God let this marriage work”. Somebody’s story is changing. When you are in love with God, He shows you what others may never see. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. When you are in love with God He reveals deep things to you. That is where you are entering into. We are in a revival and we are talking about revival here. I decree that your spirit man catches this fire today. Let God have His place; you will never lose your place.
What is a revival? A revival is a move of the spirit across people of all age groups culminating in supernatural turnaround. Joel 2:28-30. Everybody is covered. All age groups are covered, no one is left out. No one will be left out in this revival. I noted something here: in case anyone cannot go out after souls by reason of age, work schedule etc. Anyone can go up in prayers for souls to be saved, for souls to be preserved, for the Word to keep flowing, the Church to remain alive. God who sees your labour will reward you equally. The ones who plant and the ones who water are entitled to equal order of rewards. The quality of the seed notwithstanding, if there is no water it will die. Church Gist. Some are on the go planting the good news, others are on the prayer altar praying up for the input to yield maximum harvest, so everybody is covered. Anna was 84 years old and serving God with prayer and fasting. Luke 2:37. Abraham was 114 years old when he said “Let’s go up to worship”. So everyone is covered. There is room for everyone on the prayer altar, the young, the old everyone. Where one’s heart is will determine where his heart will be. No one shall be left behind in this revival in the name of Jesus. Everything will keep turning in your favour supernaturally.
A revival is a move of the Spirit that unleashes the spirit of prayer and fasting upon God’s people resulting in mass salvation of souls and explosive Church Growth. The Spirit of prayer and supplication. Romans 8:26. There is help from heaven. Zechariah 12:10. So there is a Spirit of prayer and supplication. Church Gist. Many will return from here today with that spirit upon their life. So that behind the closet, you are breaking forth on every side for the kingdom of God. Isaiah 66:18. We can birth children through prayers. Galatians 4:19. We can birth souls in the kingdom through prayers.
When is a revival said to occur?
1. When praying kingdom advancement prayers become a delight, not a burden.
You take pleasure in it, you are not under pressure or coercion to do it. It flows out of you. We just repackaged our prayer bulletin and made them 30-30 only and you find them on the net. Church Gist. Personal awakening, spiritual awakening, Intercessory prayer. Check it out and just engage. They are ‘ready to go’ prayer points. Engage and see yourself on God’s side. He said pray without ceasing.
When is a revival said to occur? When one is consumed with undying passion to see souls saved then a revival has taken place in that man’s life. Church Gist. When self gets out of the way, when godly purpose rules your mind or rules your heart, you are in a revival. It is your turn.
The lives of everyone engaging in a revival are supernaturally transformed. God is just changing your story as He said He will do. Habakkuk 3:2, 17-19. You engage and you leave Him to do it. That is part of the blessings we receive in a revival. Supernatural transformation of our lives. Church Gist. Our needs are supernaturally met in a revival. Lack disappears when you are walking with God. He gets you on His payroll, your needs are met. You don’t carry a title but you are connected to God. It is your turn.
Today is our Covenant Day of Marital Breakthroughs, we have already heard it. If you will care to make God your priority for living, He will grant you rest roundabout. It is not a joke. Don’t think your problem is special. Don’t give in to personal ignorance, it is not special. Church Gist. There is no problem under heaven that has no solution in this book. Matthew 11:28-29. Come and learn the way to find the rest you are looking for and you will find it.
From scriptures you find out that most oppressions and challenges are raw oppressions of the devil. Many victims may not even be aware of it. Psalm 68:6. He brings out them that are bound with chains. Those who don’t do what He says to do to get out of those chains, they just stay there for life. There are invisible forces behind the trauma in marriages. I mean we have other issues but that is core. Church Gist. That has no counselling solutions. It takes Word encounters and applications to deal with them. They are works of darkness, it takes light from God’s Word to come out of them. While men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares. May you be awake today. May you be awake to righteousness in the name of Jesus.
The good news is every child of God that so desires has the God given heritage to be settled in marriage. It is God who said it is not good for man to be alone, I will make life better for him by giving him a helpmeet. Genesis 2:17-18. Proverbs 18:22. Every child of God is ordained for favour. Thou will encompass the righteous with favour as with a shield. Psalm 5:12. Favour is our right and that includes marriage. We are also told marriage is a good thing from Genesis 2. Every good time is our entitlement including a fulfilled marital life. Matthew 17:11. Church Gist. God is committed to giving every good thing that we may lack to us when we demand for it. Psalm 34:10. Going after God, good things are bound to go after you. Going after God, goodness and mercy are compelled to go after you. Till now, everyone missing out by satanic manipulation on marital breakthroughs, your case is settled. All that are set for marriage this year under this prophetic service, the yoke and chains of marital delays are declared broken. Under this prophetic unction, you are coming out finally.
To calm the storms in every challenged marriage, we should take note of the following:
1. Wherever any marriage has no sure foundation in Christ the individuals must ask God for forgiveness through genuine repentance if they must experience times of refreshing in their marriage.
Marriage is only honourable when the bed is not defiled. When the bed is defiled the honour is gone. There is no sin God cannot forgive but there is no sin He will forgive until man repents. Repentance is a must to secure forgiveness. Church Gist. Most crises come out from that foundation. Acts 3:19. It will be blurted out upon repentance. As long as it is there, trouble is there. It was done in ignorance but now repent, if you want to be free repent. Psalm 11:3.
2. Everyone going through marital challenges should seek for light from the Word of God and through anointed books on marriage by proven authors.
Seek for light. Light is the master of darkness anytime, any day and anywhere. Daniel 9:2. Daniel was a man heavily gifted with wisdom but he said “I understood by books”. 2 Timothy 2:15. If you don’t want to be ashamed, seek a Word solution to the challenge you are confronted with. You must have heard me share before that I read 8 books on marriage before our wedding. I was looking for what makes it work, how do you sustain it working. Church Gist. What you don’t look for you can never find. Many going through marital tension today have never read one book on marriage but they go from place to place, Pray for me. Pray over me, Pray under me. What prayer can you pray for a student who will not study to succeed? The exam is next week and he is travelling from one bush to another looking for native doctors to do something for him. What will they do for you? To remind you what you have not studied? I have said it before humorously that I cannot pray for you now to become a pilot. ‘Now become a pilot’ then you go and buy the uniform and report to the airport. The police will catch you there. There are things you settle down to find. Church Gist. You can’t have the key to a door and be frustrated. If you have the key, you have the authority. You need the keys. God showed me seven keys that make marriage work and I said I am set for hitch-free marriage. The discovery I have made was the force behind that utterance and it is working now. That was November 1981, this is 2023. It is still working. This ministry is not just working because God called and so everything is working. He has called many people and nothing is working. I read 39 biographies of various ministries across centuries to find out how they did it, where they missed it so I can avoid it. Where they got it so I can get it.
Life is about light. Light has no meaning without light. Don’t settle down with issues. There is a word solution to every situation in life. You will not be stranded anymore in your life. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, it is the light in you that will put him off. I will pray for you now, Satan, leave that family. He said Yes I agree because you are saying so. After you leave, they say okay he has left now. It is me and you. You better wake up. Something is breaking forth this morning. Every devil hanging around your family life, they have no choice but to leave this morning. Every force behind the tension in your home wherever they may be hidden, wherever the arrow may be coming from, they return back to sender today in the name of Jesus. It is not enough to access the light we must be committed to walking in the light. Church Gist. Light is sweet but the value is only made manifest by walking in it. Go to the pool called Siloam -light! Whether you now go there or not is what determines the outcome. He went and washed and came back seeing. It is not enough to have the light, there must be a commitment to walking in the light.
I got the light on prosperity, God spoke to me life from Deuteronomy 8:18. I committed myself from there to walking in it and I have not backed out till now. I am amazed at the results. I got the light on Church Growth in 1984, the month of March and I committed myself to keep walking in it. It is working every day. In the precious name of Jesus, the grace to walk in the light that makes all the difference, receive it right now. Church Gist. There are many things you have written down in your note, they can turn your life a thousand times but you did nothing about it. No one goes forward without taking steps. Until you arise then you cannot shine. When you arise, you begin to shine.
As we close, there are fundamental rules that guarantee peace in a home. They don’t appear modern but they are still working. Rebellion against the covenant of fulfilled marriage can keep any marriage under tension for life. Your life will not be under tension. Ephesians 5:23-25. That statement that the husband is the head of the wife will be fought by many people. So it is two ways. Church Gist. You are not the head to bully your wife but to love your wife as Christ loved the Church. That’s a lot. Do you want peace? Look at it. Clean! The problem is people wait for the other partner to fulfill his own before they do their own. If you have found it and you believe in it, commit to it. It will impact on the other party in no time. God is doing a new thing in your life.
Another syndrome today in the world which needs to be addressed right now is the fact that the Bible said they two shall become one flesh. I am yet to meet half a human being on the street up till now in my few days of being on the earth. There is a syndrome today and I know it is a manipulation of the devil that puts a man in Canada and his wife in Australia. You just give place to the devil to massacre the marriage. The devil enters in and just continues to mess up everything. It is not biblical. No matter the reasons. Many have walked away like that from their marriages. The two shall become one flesh. There is no new generation truth, truth is truth. Take it or leave it. I have seen many challenged families today and I am a pastor, I have been a pastor for some time. Many went out and returned alone, marriage is over. Some went for one thing or the other and that was it. Do you want rest? Line up with scriptures. Do you want a future? Line up with scriptures to create the future you desire.
There are also a lot of people today in the Body of Christ who sent their unruly children abroad. Church Gist. They are unruly under their roof and they send them out. One came to me recently and the boy was a sorry case. How well-behaved was he before he left? That is why we sent him out. No! He was off. Train a child in the way that he should go and when he is grown he will not depart for it. If you leave training of your child to somebody else you have lost it. I am talking from the standpoint of scriptures and from the practical experience of genuine rest, total rest by lining up with scriptures. You won’t miss it. No matter how successful a man may be, if your children are a concern your success has no meaning. May your son not come back from wherever he went and say ‘This is my wife’. May your daughter not return from a journey and bring another woman as her wife. Wake up! It is not just saying amen, it is taking responsibility. A child that won’t hear you at home, will he hear you from abroad? Some still think that travelling is an achievement. The way the black man thinks sometimes is funny. Travelling is not an achievement. No! We have gotten done in five years that I have not been allowed to travel by the Lord than we ever got done before. Settle down to locate God’s purpose and line up with it. Church Gist. Somebody’s story is changing. For anyone that may have challenge sons or daughters anywhere in the world, I decree their rescue. Some can’t even ask their children what Church they are going to, they were not going to church when they were here. Settle down and rescue your family. All this petting, that is not the way to live. May this revival time terminate every area of failure in anyone’s life. God shall calm every storm in any marriage here represented. Today is your day of escape.
Isaiah 44:26.

– The trauma in your home is declared over.
– Every challenged spouse is liberated today.
– Every form of addiction tormenting any family and any party in a marriage is cursed from the root.
– Every curse causing marital delay for anyone is broken today. Church Gist.
– Everyone bound with chains maritally is declared liberated.
– The mystery of Matthew 6:33 will sort you out eternally.
– As you choose God as your priority for living and the interest of His kingdom, your enviable days are restored.
– The days of mockery are over in your life. The days of mockery are over in your family.
– I decree that today marks the dawning of a new day in your own life.
– Every Winner on the line for marriage, we are in June, I declare you settled this year. Church Gist. God will bring your own flesh, your own bone to you this year and to the same of the devil. You will be colourfully settled in marriage.
– Every spiritual infirmity that may have taken hold of any spouse or any of your sons and daughters, I decree the breaking of that siege from henceforth.
– For everyone who believes the Lord and this prophet, your case is settled. Between now and next Sunday you will share your testimony of Marital breakthrough.
If you crave for this little grace that I carry, God will multiply it in your life. If you will care to crave for it. If you genuinely care for it. It is so sweet on this side. If you see me still running after souls till now, there must be something there. Biological growth is enough to keep us growing for life. The number of children born in this Church every month. We are on a rescue mission. A lady called on Tuesday this week about to commit suicide, aged 27. Jesus rescued her. She had bought the poison but by the prayer of the saints somehow she called to ask for prayer before she would die. The call centre is not for fun, it is a rescue line. I was in the marketplace and someone about to commit suicide heard my son in the megaphone and came in. As soon as he came in, I just said exactly what his problem was. Church Gist. He turned his life to Christ the same day. We are on a rescue mission. Carry a rescue mentality. If you see a brother or sister going wayward, stand in the place of prayer no this one will not go. We are on a rescue mission. We have had over 31,000 newly registered members this year. Why don’t you stand in the place of prayer for them to be established? You have enough to pray for. Young men so many souls are on the street, you don’t need to travel. Around your office where you are after closing. In your neighbourhood where you live, there are all there. This week must be a week with a difference. When your cloud is full, your rain will fall. As you fill your cloud, your rain will start falling again.
Lift your hands and give God thanks. Celebrate Him.
