Welcome to your season of glory. Every air of shame and reproach shall be rolled away from your life. There was this valley in the book of Ezekiel, The Valley of Dry Bones, The Valley of utter hopelessness. Then God came in, it is a picture of a revival. After the bones came together and flesh covered them, there arose from that valley of nothingness, an exceeding great army. Somebody is coming out of this season as a man and a woman of valour. There was nothing to Abraham, he was 75 years old. How can anything great come out of a 75 year old? But when God came through for him, when the word of God located him, Abraham at 75 began an adventure into greatness. Church Gist. There is no situation that God cannot handle. Then a little boy of 17 was visited by God, his spirit was quickened, his name was David and as a teenager, he delivered the whole of Israel from the assault of the Philistines. 17, 75, you are covered. Anybody’s story can change when you allow the spirit of life to come upon your life. The Spirit of God came upon me, I was 19 when I couldn’t stand to be in a village for 72 days without a Church. I wasn’t a pastor, I wasn’t anything. Church Gist. The Spirit of life just came upon me and I said I will never leave this place the way I found it. No one goes forward sitting down, you go forward by taking steps. May the spirit of life find its way into your life. How long are we going to be doing these things? For life. So count the cost or step out. When you step out of service in the natural, your salary stops, your allowances stop, your privileges stop. When you step out of service in the kingdom everything stops.
Prayer: Jesus set me on fire this morning, I don’t want to be part of a crowd.
Father, thank you, visit every single worshipper today. Ignite heavenly fire in the heart of each person and let your name be glorified in Jesus name.
What God is doing since the year began is to get everyone off the street corners of life, get us off the byways of life and get us on the covenant highways of life by taking scriptural responsibility. Let me call it Covenant Responsibilities! Luke 6:46. Taking covenant responsibilities is what puts a believer in command in the journey of life. Church Gist. You don’t have to beg God, when you do what He says to do, you have committed Him to do what He says He will do. You don’t have to beg God, the righteous don’t beg. Until you do what He says to do, you can’t commit Him. The scriptures cannot be broken. It is not only binding on us, it is binding on God.
Our teaching series for this month in our Sunday Services is UNDERSTANDING THE BLESSEDNESS OF A REVIVAL. What is a revival worth? What does it carry for me? Why must I connect with a revival? Proverbs 26:21. So spiritual understanding is vital to maximizing our adventure in the kingdom. Everybody should come awake. Ephesians 5:13. Let’s come awake in our spirit man to grasp what the Holy Ghost is showing us at this time. We have just read the prophetic focus on the wonders of the midst of the year. Habakkuk 3:2. Haggai 1:1. The prophetic word came through Haggai. You left my business and went about your own so you keep struggling and nothing is happening. Haggai 1:1-14. You better wake up. If you have never met a man that does not know struggle, here is one. I got hooked onto this mystery as far back as 1976. If you don’t give God His place, your place is not secure. People don’t know where their trouble comes from. That is the meaning of Haggai 1 until you give God His place, you don’t have a place. Church Gist. They began to do the work and in Chapter 2, there was an outbreak of a revival. Haggai 2:1-4. Haggai 2:1 talks about July, Haggai 1 talks about June. June and July, the midst of the year. Five months on this side, five months on the other side. What else do you need? You don’t need a dictionary. You take 6 and 7, you have the midst of the year of 12 months. Church Gist. Wake up! You can’t change the midst of the year. Times and seasons of life are irreversible, irrecoverable and irredeemable. Last year’s midst of the year is gone forever. If you sleep last year, it is gone forever. Another one is ongoing now, if you like, take a nap. We are in the rainy season now, if a farmer is asleep now, he will be a beggar in harvest. He is a sleeper during planting season; he will be a beggar during harvest.
How long are we going to be doing this thing? Your heart must keep beating for you to stay alive, in the same way, your heart must keep panting after God to make the most of your adventure in the kingdom. Your heart has been serving you since you were born. Has it gone on break? The day it goes on break you are gone. All these notes you are taking won’t do anything without a decision to wake up and move. Church Gist. The same way your heart is pumping to keep you alive, we must stay in service to be spiritually alive in the Kingdom. He said “Thou shall serve and He shall bless…” so to stay blessed, we must stay serving. There is no other shortcut. Job 36:11. They are all continuous tenses “if they obey and serve Him..” that implies keep serving Him. If they choose to obey and serve Him.
Why am I saying this? Revival time is a time of explosive sacrificial service. One thing the Lord assured me is that within the months of June and July, we will not only have great testimonies but great testimonies will rise. People that their appearance is a testimony. Sinners will look at them and say “See what God has done out of that man, see what God has done out of that woman, see what God has done out of that small boy, out of that small girl”. So the race is on and it is flagged off tomorrow 5th. Watch, it is a raw enactment of 2015. 2015 – Wonder Double Visitation began on the 1st with prayer and fasting. Between the 7th and 26th of July 2015, the church erupted out of obscurity into the limelight. Church Gist. Many destinies just burst forth. Another one is here, from June 5th to July 30th. Does Papa want to kill us? No! I want you to live. When you are not breathing, they start pumping you and pumping you to live. They slap you, they put something on your chest to shock you because if they let you go like that, that’s not good. So don’t mind me. I am doing my occupational job. You need to live. You can’t be in a revival and not know. It is not dressing up on Sunday morning and coming to Church. That is not it. It is far beyond that. Your heart doesn’t stop beating when you leave Church so it can rest.
Life is an adventure in times and seasons. Like the English man will say “Opportunity once lost will never be regained”. Jesus wept over them because they knew not the time of their visitation. Luke 19:41-44. So they became victims of devastation because they knew not the time of their visitation. Church Gist. The enemy came on them, hedged them in on every side because they knew not the time of their visitation. As mentioned earlier, seasons of life are irrecoverable, irreversible and irredeemable. We must come awake to seize this season of glory.
Procrastination is the cause behind stagnation. ‘ I will do it tomorrow. Next tomorrow! I will just wake up! You know things are a bit tight. Things are a bit demanding.’ Don’t demand struggle, demand breakthrough by obedience. The Lord said to me in 1984, 39 years ago “My son, there is a place for you on top if you are interested” Church Gist. I said Lord I am interested “Then whatever I tell you to do, do it”. Don’t just be confessing what I say, whatever I tell you to do, do it. May your place on top not be lost to procrastination. No one goes forward without taking steps. The prodigal son said I will arise and go, he arose and left and his story changed overnight from rags to robes, from lack of what to eat to a feast. The story changed because he took steps. Luke 15:17-20. No one experiences a change of story wishing without taking steps. Blind Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was passing by, he said “Are you sure it is Jesus? Today na today”. He got his sight back that day while other blind people were making jest of him. What if he missed Jesus passing by? He would have died a blind man. Church Gist. There is a passing through of Jesus in this midst of the year in our midst. Every blind man will recover his sight. Every deaf ear shall be unstopped, every dumb tongue shall be loosed. Every spiritually dead individual shall come alive. Bartimaeus heard and you are hearing now, he took steps and he got his dramatic change of story. You are getting yours.
No one sits down waiting for things to change. We must take appropriate steps to experience the changes we desire. The four lepers said, “If we sit down here, we die. If we go to the city, nothing there. Now, let’s go to the camp of the Philistines if they kill us that is okay and if they give us food, that is fine”. They became the solution to the challenge of the nation by refusing to sit down waiting. 2 King 7:3-5. They took steps, both for their rescue and the rescue of their land. Your being awake today will rescue your entire lineage from being besieged by the wicked. You are coming out in grand style. Don’t sit down waiting for things to change, it never does. They never do. Things don’t change for those waiting, waiting is equal to wasting. There must be no downtime in anyone’s life within these two months by the choice and decision of individuals. Church Gist. We have so many spiritual derelicts in the Body of Christ today. Pray for me, Pray for me. I have gone to all the people in the world, I have gone to Daddy G.O., I have gone to Kenneth Hagin, I have gone to Charles Caps, please can you tell me somewhere else to go to? You are the one sent to go and lay your hands on the sick for them to recover. You are the one commissioned to go and feed the hungry. You are the one Commissioned to go and clothe the naked. If you won’t do the needful, you remain in need. There is zero foreign input in this Church today in Nigeria yet we are among the most prosperous Church institutions on the earth. How? By doing the needful so as to clear off your needs. You do what He says, you have committed Him to do what He says He will do. No waiting, no stopping, no parking, this time you must keep going. I pray that this prophetic word will fire you up. Church Gist. That man said to Abraham, Father Abraham please send Lazarus. He said they have Moses and the prophets, if they won’t hear them neither will they hear someone who rose from the dead. Let them hear the prophets. I put them there. Haggai spoke and their spirit was stirred up. You have seen many things spoken here that came to pass, when will it be your turn?
The most reliable prophetic source is the Word. So if the prophetic word in the Word doesn’t move you, nothing can move you. The midst of the year is ordained for your dramatic change of story. Church Gist. Things may not be in place as you engage but keep on engaging rejoicing, He will make your feet as hind feet and get you up upon your high places. You won’t miss your place. No distraction for you these two months.
No more sitting down waiting for an encounter with God, we must take steps to experience one. The woman with the issue of blood, very unique. For 12 years unstoppable menstruation. 12 years of weakness but she said ‘I need an encounter’. Luke 8:40-48. She stood up and went through those heavy security things around Christ until she touched the hem of his garment. I have been serving God and there is nothing in there. Church Gist. Now, do it and the shame and concerns will seize. That is God’s agenda for the hour. Glory to God. It is your season of glory. As you embrace this prophetic light and choose to walk in it, things will begin to change in your favour. Again, the only way to stay alive is for our hearts to keep beating, the same way the only way for a believer to stay blessed is to keep serving. Luke 6:33.
Just like no one can delegate breathing, In the same vein, no one can delegate kingdom advancement service. Can anyone breathe for you? I have been breathing for some time so my son should breathe for me, I want to take a break. That is an everlasting break. You can’t delegate breathing. You can’t delegate kingdom advancement service. I said something during the Empowerment Summit, servants don’t have servants. You don’t have a domestic staff in your house who also has an aide. Look you need to give my aid a place, he needs to take care of my feet before I sleep. No! A servant doesn’t have servants. All those heavy apostles, they only had partners. Church Gist. Silas was a partner of Paul. John Mark was a partner of Barnabas. Jesus had three partners among the twelve – Peter, James and John. There was nowhere where he went that they were not with him. They couldn’t identify him among them without a kiss. He wasn’t wearing a kingly robe. He was just part of them. I am in your midst as one that serves. They would have taken Peter and crucified him for free. Do you know something about stewardship? Self-reputation has disqualified many people from their place in Christ. Overestimation of self. You know I led him to Christ. And so what? People that were not born when this ministry began are my partners in my outreach team. Most of them their parents gave birth to them here. My drivers are part of my team. Jesus said I am in your midst as one that serves. Church Gist. Servants don’t have servants. God does not reward overseers, he rewards stewards. Everyone shall be rewarded according to his own labour. God does not reward title or calling, He rewards individual’s labour. So going about as a supervisor or overseer won’t add anything to anybody. It is a new day for you.
The good thing about this month is that it is not just going to get you on board, it will keep you on board. What I found in 1976 did not just get me on board, it has kept me on board. ’76 till now is quite some time. That is about 47 years. Quite a journey and I can’t feel it. Nobody has ever written prophetic focus for me in this ministry. If my breath reduces to one tenth I will still be writing. You better wake up, servants don’t have servants. How long are we going to serve Papa? Serve Papa who has never been on break. Can you serve him, he doesn’t need a servant. I am not where I am because you are where you are, I am where I am because of where I stand with God. I was in prosperity before the Church started. You may not see it but I saw it. In the precious name of Jesus, your personal walk will take a new turn with God. This time you won’t look elsewhere. Nobody is your problem if you will solve your problem with God. Nobody is your problem. Walking in the light will silence darkness. You can’t walk in the light and be overrun by darkness. Church Gist. ‘One woman in my house.’ Everybody has a woman in their house, there is no family you won’t find a woman. Light and dark, short and tall, you will find them everywhere. It is your turn finally to break forth into your realm of glory. You will never miss it. Many names here that have no identity on your street will soon be turned into a global phenomenon. Many here will soon be set above all the nations of the earth as you keep walking in the light of His word.
What is a Revival? A revival is a move of the Spirit of God among His people and every move of God is ordained to move His people forward. So you are going forward. We saw that picture in Isaiah 61 as Jesus came down with that massive heavenly revival to the world. He closed the book after He said to preach the acceptable year of the Lord” and then quake the next one began. Every spiritual awakening is ordained to comfort them that mourn. Every revival is to glorify God’s people. Isaiah 61:1-4. So beggars have now become builders, Jobseekers have now become employers. Massive advancement is what results from every move of the Spirit. Every revival. Your Church came to the limelight by pushing the kingdom. Church Gist. Many great names have risen in our midst by pushing the kingdom. I said it yesterday and it is very important that anybody can go up by skill and by strength. No one can stay up without God. That is why whatever the Lord doeth is forever. We have not known a downward trend as a ministry in 42 years. Whatever the Lord doeth shall be forever. That is the major difference. We have seen men of skill, men of wit, it is always for a season and then it is gone. Daniel 12:3. Paul, for instance, is still there today. Paul said, Paul said. Who was Paul? By the help of God, I continue to this day witnessing to both great and small. Spiritual stewardship keeps you alive long after you are no longer here. Church Gist. There is no other platform. Many rich people have gone and forgotten. Some in one year, some on the same day. Sir, some three years. Because by strength shall no man prevail. Serving God is a goldmine. Spiritual stewardship is a goldmine. You reap what? Life everlasting. You sow to the flesh, strength, capacity, skill, you reap corruption. You sow to the spirit you reap life everlasting. Galatians 6:8-9.
I heard from God for 18 solid hours but the Church was still trying to find its footing. I said God why is this Church not growing? He said come let me show you what to do. It was all about responsibility. God does not promise you nonsense, He promises you based on His conditions. The first He gave me was that the Church will never move without prayer and fasting. Prayer and fasting are core to Church growth. It won’t move without people on the go. People must get on the street to bring others in. It will not sustain growth without the Word of God coming alive. Church Gist. They are all responsibilities. This season of glory will not materialize with you sitting down the same way you have been sitting before. Never! You must come awake to draw your new prayer schedule. I can’t serve for you and you can’t serve me. When you are out of service, everything that belongs to you in that service stops. Good things will never stop in your life. May today be a day of new beginnings in someone’s life.
What are the effects of a revival?
1. Every revival drafts multitudes into the kingdom as we saw in the Acts of the Apostles, thereby turning the Church into a solution centre for all people.
Micah 4:1-2. The last days are the days of outpouring of the Spirit. Massive Revival. We need the way out. That is God’s agenda. Drafting of multitudes is one of the effects. Acts 13:44. Matthew 11:27-28. Every invisible barrier that the enemy has put on your path will clear off like a dream of the night if you connect with the things you are hearing from heaven this morning. It will clear off like a dream of the night. You will emerge a surprise to yourself. You are coming out of that predicament. You are coming out of that siege, the enemy will suffer regrets. Church Gist. Every calculation against you will fall on their head. We saw multiplication, increases and explosions in the Acts of the Apostles. The number of disciples multiplied greatly. Acts 6:7, 13:44. Almost the whole city came to hear the Word of God. Now imagine that everyone in this service today catches the fire to catch one person for Jesus this coming Sunday. There will be no space in the first service. That is why we need to come awake. Proverbs 11:30. Inheritance is not something you apply for, it is a thing you qualify for. You qualify yourself for it. Proverbs 3:35. You want to maximize this season of glory? Then be an avowed soul winner. You can’t preach? You can bring them to church where they hear the gospel and turn their lives over to Christ. Don’t sit down waiting.
In 72 days we had a full-blown Church. 40 days after my arrival we already built the Church. Church Gist. Driven by passion for God. This is 60 whole days thereabout and you can’t find a soul? Your heart is not there. It is not asking you to go and bring a Prime Minister or go and bring a Minister of Justice, every soul has equal weight in His sight. Your title is your cup of tea. The girl selling groundnut near your house is a soul. That cleaner in your office is a soul, he has never heard you once talk about Jesus because of your size.
I got in the midst of hemp smokers and the hemp didn’t put me off. They were blowing it not that they smoked it before I came. They were blowing it while I was there. I asked them a simple question – would you like your children to be in this condition? They said no! So why are you here? I know you can’t change yourself but there is a changer. His name is Jesus. Some of them are here this morning. Have I ever tasted cigarettes? There is no opportunity. When they planted marijuana in my car in those days at the mechanic’s workshop. I had never seen it. So when they brought it out and said what is this? I said maybe it is one of those things my wife plants in the house. I have never seen it, I didn’t have that opportunity. God kept me. They planted it there while I was going home in the evening and the policemen that used to salute me while I was going home asked me to stop and asked me to come out. Church Gist. They went to where they planted it and couldn’t find it and I said ‘shame on you’. It is a new day for you. The good news is everybody’s life is taking a new turn. When it takes a new turn from the realm of the spirit, it will impart on all other areas of your life. So shall it be for you. You won’t need To struggle for things to happen for you anymore. Just pursuing after God will keep adding every other thing to your life.
A revival is also a platform for divine visitation ordained for our change of story. Zephaniah 3:17-19. The Lord in the midst of thee is mighty, if you hook on to His move, He will make you a name and a praise. Church Gist. There is a turnaround that comes when God visits. This visitation will lead to your unbelievable turnaround.
A revival is a spiritual awakening that causes the giant in a believer to rise. Jeremiah 30:19-21. Church Gist. For engaging in the advancement of my kingdom, I will cause nobles to rise. Just engage your heart, don’t pretend, don’t pose. Engage your heart.
A revival is said to occur when the heart of man begins to pant after God and the interest of His kingdom. Psalm 42:1. When the heart of a man begins to pant after God and the interest of His kingdom that man is in a revival. Church Gist. That woman is in a revival, that boy or girl is in a revival. Psalm 34:10. Seeking the Lord qualifies you for every good thing. Matthew 6:33. Seek ye first, seek ye as a priority the advancement, the enlargement of the kingdom of God in all righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Welcome to your new world.
When is a revival said to occur? When walking in the fear of God becomes our new way of life. Joseph said ‘but I fear God” and we saw what the fear of God did for him. It brought about unimaginable change, from slavery to imprisonment to enthronement. Church Gist. What an adventure. Genesis 39:9, 42:18. You may look like a slave now but what will come out of you will surprise the world around you.
What is in a revival for us?
Every revival is a spiritual launching pad into our high places. Every revival is ordained a launching path into our high places. Church Gist. We are in our Covenant Highways year. Revival provides a platform for the launch of individuals on such highways. You won’t be left out. Habakkuk 3:2-6, 17-19.
Every revival culminates in the supernatural restoration of the redemptive dignity of the believers. It rolls away shame and reproach. Joel 2:23-27. The restoration of years. My people shall never be ashamed. You will know that I am the Lord thy God and I am in the midst of Israel and no one else. Church Gist. God in the midst of us wipes away shame and reproach. God at the centre of your life wipes away shame and reproach. You will experience that, everywhere you have been out to shame God will turn it to double honour.
Finally, we enjoy express answers to prayer in a revival. They were still praying for Peter to be released and God had gone into the prison to set him loose. Express answers to prayer. Acts 12:5-11. The gates opened on their own accord. Express answers to prayer in a revival. They harassed them and they gathered together and prayed. The place was shaken and they were filled with the Holy Ghost and boldness to preach the gospel. One day I said to God, why don’t you wait for someone to finish praying before you answer? It is a company of people. While they are yet praying I will answer. While they are yet speaking, I will perform. I heard those words in 1985. Whatever you ask the Father in my name, He will give it to you. Not that He may. His will is to give you because you are in partnership with Him in fulfilling His mandate on the earth. Church Gist. Zechariah 8:20-23. God answers prayers like fire in a revival. One day I said to Jesus, Lord give me a thousand souls this month. I had never seen it before but I saw it. I saw it the second month, I saw it the third month and I said ‘Wait, God, give me a thousand souls this week’ and He did. Not in a separate prayer, personal supplication prayer at covenant hour of prayer. A prayer from the heart that is prone to kingdom advancement answers with speed. It is your turn at last.
Today is our Covenant Day of Breaking Invisible Barriers. Invisible barriers are real. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. Ephesians 6:12. They are all in the invisible realm so invisible barriers are real. By redemption, we have been repositioned above all the forces that constitute invisible barriers on our path. When you are born again, you have been repositioned. Ephesians 2:6. Church Gist. So barriers can’t stand on your path by reason on your positioning in redemption. You need that consciousness. You can’t stand on my way, I am no longer in your realm. I have been translated from your kingdom, the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. Darkness can’t hold me to ransom anymore.
Every child of God is redeemed as an overcomer over the invisible battles of life through faith. You take the shield of faith, you quench all the fiery darts of the enemy. Just believe what God has done as real. Let it form your new consciousness and these barriers will clear in the name of Jesus. I got this Word in 1979 through the ministry of Smith Wigglesworth. Then I made an altar call for witches and they stood up. One of them said when I asked him what do you do for the devil, he said when we want to suck blood we get on the highway and then we cause a vehicle passing to somersault and we suck the blood of the victims. Church Gist. I said what about when people like us are coming? He said when we sense a higher power we clear off from the highway. From today barriers will be clearing the way for you. Let me tell you where the power comes from. From light. John 1:5. Darkness can’t stop the way of light. When the light of the Word of God breaks forth, darkness clears off.
In the precious name of Jesus, every barrier that stood in your way before you came into this service, you will see them no more.
1. One must be born again and become a child of light to see invisible barriers clear off his path.
John 3:3-5. Ephesians 5:8. 1 Thessalonians 5:5. When you are born again you become a child of light, however we must remain lighted by the Word to clear off the barriers of the power of darkness on our path. John 1:9. Church Gist. Darkness cannot stop the way of light. From today every barrier that has kept you bound and on the same spot, clear off for you in the name of Jesus. Remember the entrance of the Word gives light. As it enters, it illuminates the individual and darkness clears the way for them.
2. One must remain on the go for Christ in kingdom advancement endeavours to secure divine presence that clears off all invisible barriers on its own.
Jesus sent them to the places where he will come and they came back rejoicing. Even devils were subject to us. He said I was there, I saw Satan fall like lightning. Your barriers will be falling like lightning when you are on the go. Luke 10:19. Every time you are on the go you are empowered to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Church Gist. Today marks the end of any satanic assault on your life. Get on the go for Christ, you secure His presence that clears off all barriers on your path. Matthew 28:18-20. Mark 16:16. Psalm 24:7. You are walking with God, no gate can be shut against you.
– Therefore, I decree that every barrier on your path hitherto clears off your path today.
– Every generational curse holding its way on your life clears off finally today.
– Every siege on your family life and your business clears off supernaturally today.
– Every satanic siege on your spiritual life clears off supernaturally today.
– You are stepping today on the highways of life.
– Every invisible barrier clears off on its own at your instance.
– When you are in the vehicle, accidents are forbidden. You are on the sea, your boat cannot capsize. You are in the air, your plane will never drop.
– Every siege on your health is finally over today.
– Every poison anyone may have taken in his sleep is cleared off today.
– Every siege on your marital destiny clears off today.
– Every siege on the destiny of your children clears off the way today.
– Every invisible force behind anyone’s barrenness and childlessness clears off finally today.
In a revival, everlasting mountains shall be scattered and perpetual hills shall be brought down. A revival time is a time of clearing in every invisible barrier on your path.
