Lord let today’s Pre-Shiloh Service answer to its name. Let every captive of the powers of darkness be set free and let your name be glorified in Jesus’ name.
Of all spiritual virtues in the kingdom, light is the only one guaranteed for any individual to be set free from the powers of darkness. Darkness does not have respect for power but for light. Power can never subdue darkness but light. A heavyweight wrestling champion, if light goes off in his room he would be stumbling on his items. He has all the power in the physical, why is he stumbling? Because he lacks light. Outside of light, Christianity is an adventure in frustration. That is why so many anointed people are failures. Nothing else can subdue darkness but light. Church Gist. So he goes about blinding the minds of men so that they will not see the glorious light of the gospel because light is the only thing that humiliates darkness. That my son, I have never heard the testimony before. I am hearing it for the first time. He came into church, heard the word and took the book ‘Satan Get Lost’ and suicidal thoughts vanished. Light came and darkness vanished. That precious life would have been lost. Are you interested in freedom? take steps to prove it.
One of my earliest articles is ‘You Can Walk Out On The Devil’. Light came and I saw the littleness of the devil. He stayed clear of my path. No matter how terrific an armed robber is, if you see a presidential convoy coming you will take cover. That is the robbery spirit will die, you mellow. Satan is struggling with you in your sleep, there is no light to dispel him. ‘Pray for me, Pray for me’ can’t dispel darkness. If they pray for you under light and you go back into darkness, darkness will recapture you. It doesn’t work. If you don’t commit to the search for light you can’t be free. Church Gist. Are we not going to the same Church? Are we walking in the same light? Are we not preaching the same thing? Have you discovered the same thing? You can preach anything you hear. Anybody can preach anything he hears. Light is your cheapest way out of any prison house. Light! So I bind all blindfolding weapons of the devil and I release you into that realm of light. Today is declared your day in Jesus’s name.
UNVEILING THE RESCUE POWER OF LIGHT is our subject today in this Rescue Miracle Service. Romans 13:12. The armour of light will dispel darkness without sweat. I have shared this with you a few times. A man met with me in the Old Church in 1996, he was weeping like a baby. I said humourously that when a man weeps it is a serious matter. If it is women, there is no problem. Women are prone to it. You insult a woman and for the next five years if she is not born again she is still crying on it but a man has forgotten. He just goes his own way. But when a man weeps… The wailing of a strong man scatters the city. This man was weeping and I said I was not going to pray for him under that condition. Church Gist. The prayer won’t work because he was celebrating the devil. “See what the devil has done”. I told him to buy a book ‘Satan Get Lost’, read it and get back to me. We agreed to meet in seven days. He came back and he was beaming with smiles. He said he didn’t know the devil was that cheap. Light came, Satan left. Darkness will bow any day. People pose to be looking for a solution when they are not looking for any. They are not looking for anything. Today marks the end of harassment of the powers of darkness over your life. You are out of that prison house today in the name of Jesus.
Hebrews 2:3. How shall we escape if we neglect the light from the Word that sets free from darkness? Our escape is in the light of the Word not anywhere else. With the armour of light in place we cannot be held hostage by the powers of darkness. John 1:4-5. Church Gist. With the armour of light in place no barrier of darkness can stand in your way. When light shone forth in the prison, the angel of the Lord appeared and rescued Peter. You know the story in Acts 12:5-11. Supernatural rescue sequel to the arrival of light.
When Christ, the light of the world, came on this earth, the powers of darkness could not stand in His way. “Have you come to torment us before the time?” they couldn’t stand. He wasn’t talking to devils. People talk to devils today “What is your name? Where are you coming from? What were you doing before?” What is the discussion about? Light has no discussion with darkness. Light arrives and darkness goes. No argument! People do all kinds of mechanicals today. What is your name? Where are you from? Are you from Jamaica? They were casting out a devil somewhere in the early days of the ministry and that demon possessed person just stood up and gave one of them a slap. Have you seen darkness trying to cast out darkness? Luke 8:28. Church Gist. Light will always torment darkness. When the light came darkness had no choice. Luke 4:34. Light destroys darkness. Darkness is at the mercy of light. The strength of darkness is in the absence of light. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (light). They have gone into captivity because of lack of light. Isaiah 5:13. Today your captivity is over.
Access to Light is the only way to be set free from the assaults of the powers of darkness. Isaiah 60:1-3. Light turns you from pity to the envy of the world. That is light. Satan came against Christ on the mountain of temptation and he gave up by the arrows of light. It is written! It is written! It is written and he stayed off. He didn’t conquer him by prayer, he conquered him by light. Church Gist. What prayer does is to break the siege against access to light. So that when you pray and fast there is an outbreak of light, it breaks off the hand of the blindfolder so you can see what God is saying. There are many things we have heard and seen but we are yet to handle. Something must break loose in your life today.
Someone was reading the book ‘Winning Invisible Battles’ in French and she had this strange thing following her around. She could feel this thing following her but she couldn’t see. Everything she did – misfortune. She was barely halfway through the book when the stranger left. Light came and it couldn’t hide. Darkness can’t handle light. Church Gist. There is no degree of darkness that can say “What do you mean by light?” No! The entrance of His Word gives light. Not the hearing, the entrance. Psalm 119:130. Can darkness constitute a barrier on the highway of light? So you are free. The entrance of His Word is what gives light and walking in that light is what confers dominion. Dominion is established over the powers of darkness.
John 12:35-36. Don’t just have the light and be celebrating and clapping, walk in the light. Believe in the validity of that light. God won’t say what He does not mean. He is not a joker, he says what He means and means what He says. Satan is not your match in battle. There is no degree of darkness that is a match with light in battle. Luke 22:53. Church Gist. The ultimate realm the devil operates in is the realm of darkness and light will put you over any day, any time, anywhere. We got to Liberia and there was this Queen of Sheba, a celebrated witch, maybe a principality. As we got to the hotel, not that we had seen. I didn’t see her and I didn’t know, we got to the hotel, she disappeared. Not that she flew, she went to the airport. Light does not need to announce itself. Light arrives and darkness flees. It is auto, it doesn’t take a process. At the instance of light darkness bows. Whether a toddler or an old man, whosoever puts on the light, darkness will obey him. Church Gist. If you send your toddler to turn on the light in your room, darkness won’t say “You are a small boy. I won’t go anywhere. Nonsense.” Whosoever has the light, has the dominion. It is not about age. I would have died severally except for light.
In 1979, I saw through the testimony of Wigglesworth that I am seated far above any devil and what torments others. I was looking for any devil to show him. Ephesians 2:6. He raised all of us together with him. All of us, not one of us, not apostles or prophets. You don’t need a title. I was a little boy when I saw my new position in Redemption. I made that wonderful altar call, “How many witches are here? Stand to your feet.” Can you imagine? What an altar call. They stood up. I said what do you do with the devil? They said anytime we get on the road, we cause any vehicle coming to somersault and we suck the blood of the victims. I said what of when people like us are coming? Church Gist. 1979! I was younger than this. They said when we sense a higher power on the way, we clear off the way. Every demon has sense. Where was the higher power coming from? From the light! The light of Ephesians 2:6 / 1:20-21. The grosser the darkness, the greater the victory of light. How did this ministry come into the limelight? In the dungeon of darkness. As bitter as Ota witches. There were small demons in Iyana Ipaja and we came to the dungeon of darkness and light broke forth and darkness bowed out. It is not the devil that is tormenting your life, it is the absence of light. It is not any devil, there are more devils after me than any of you. I am disturbing his kingdom too much. It is a new day in your life. You won’t toy with your glorious destiny again. Church Gist. You won’t be counting days, you will be counting victories. You have struggled enough for things to happen. You won’t struggle again. Light never struggles with darkness, it simply triumphs over it. I like you to hear this thing severally, connect with it and lose yourself from the bonds of your feet.
The Holy Spirit does not only empower us for triumphant living but empowers us to stay free from all assaults of the power of darkness. He gave us power to tread up serpents and scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy and nothing by any means hurt us. Satan departed for a while but came back. Light kept dispelling the coming back. He is a scapegoat, he keeps coming back. He is the captain of the forces of darkness and he keeps coming back. Luke 10:17-19. Church Gist. So it is one thing to be free and another thing to stay free. We are set free by the power of God but we stay free by the power of light. People got testimonies today and began to go upside down. No! The end has come to all of that. No more ups and downs in your Christian journey.
The Holy Spirit empowers us to remain steadfast in our Christian journey. By opening our eyes to the superlative benefit of serving Him. 1 Corinthians 15:58. You can’t be more steadfast than you know. To the level that you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain. He enlightens us to remain steadfast by showing us the ever profitable blessings in serving God. I didn’t just hear Matthew 6:33, I encountered light from it and has kept me rolling like a rollercoaster since 1976. Church Gist. As much as you know. You will give up if you don’t know. You stop to the level that you know. I was out this week and I have been out like that all my life. You can’t discourage me, whatever you say encourages me. “You are a fool”, I am encouraged. That means what I am doing is tormenting you. Church Gist. “You are great” How? Do you know how far I am from where Christ was? And the works He did, I am meant to do greater works than that. You can’t be discouraged and you can’t be overblown. As much as ye know. Prayer for steadfastness won’t work. You must pray to know how profitable and everlastingly serving God is. When you know this you are an operation on your own. Your operation is on naturally and enjoyably. Somebody’s story is changing.
Everything that works in the Kingdom works according to light. You don’t pray according to His Will, your prayer will not be answered. Therefore, there is hope of rescue for every child of God held in captivity. Ecclesiastes 9:4. There is hope for you. No just hope, you are redeemed onto a lively hope. 1 Peter 1:3. Your case can never be hopeless. So you are coming out today. That man said all the nightmares ended. He was looking forward to the time to sleep. Before he was afraid to sleep because of all kinds of attacks. Church Gist. When light came, darkness left. Every siege of nightmares is over this morning. Because you have been translated from the realm of darkness to the realm of light so you can’t be held down by it anymore. Spiritual illumination is the mystery that dispels the powers of darkness. You can’t be illuminated and at the same time be tormented by the power of darkness. Every spiritual ‘illuminant’ exercises dominion over the gang-ups of the enemies without stress. That is the mystery behind it.
I once saw a madman around Ojuore Road, he was walking majestically on the road. They were telling him to clear off because a trailer was coming, he was walking majestically. When he heard the revving of the throttle, he jumped off the road. A madman! Do you think demons don’t have sense? What am I hearing? Do you think I want to die? From now as you are approaching any battlefield, it clears off for you on its own accord. I was in the car so I took my diary and began to write that even demons know danger. Light is what turns you into danger in the realm of darkness. We were going to Lagos one time in 1999 when we were construction here around 1-2 a.m. Church Gist. Some armed robbers were on the road. “Papa is coming, take cover!” OPC was pursuing them. They were trying to break the head of one of them and it didn’t break. It is the OPC man who came here to testify. They heard Papa was coming and they took cover. They were so charmed that guns couldn’t answer on their bodies yet they were afraid of one tiny Papa because of Light! The last harassment you suffered in your life is the last you will see. I release you today as a danger to the Kingdom of darkness. Every assault on your head becomes history. Every assault on your family becomes history. Every assault on your business and career is shattered. Something is breaking forth and your life is taking a new turn.
When light breaks forth, health springs forth supernaturally. Isaiah 58:7-8. Light restores health supernaturally. Therefore today, every attack on your head turns into a testimony. Light swallows up death in victory. Church Gist. Isaiah 25:6-8. God is turning your tears into cheers today. He is turning your sorrow into joy today. He is turning your mourning into dancing today by removing the face of covering (the blindfold) of the devil and giving you access to light. Then he swallows up death in victory.
There was a night many years ago that I slept and I found myself in a coffin. I responded in the sleep. Do you know something about light? Entrance means entrance into your spirit. When light enters your spirit, whether you are asleep or awake it is there. I said Satan you must be daft. No one sees himself in a grave and stays there for it is written “There is no wisdom or knowledge or understanding in the grave”. Church Gist. At night! Do you know why? That light had entered before so the attack came late. You don’t prepare for battle on the day of battle. The attack came late, I responded in my sleep unperturbed. So it is not this motivational speaking, when life enters your spirit man you are in charge whether asleep or awake. That a lion is sleeping does it make it a dog? Even the shadow of a lion is a threat. If you see the shadow approaching, just the shadow. God forbid! You are off. All this Satan is pursuing me, Satan is after me. Jesus came and all demons were threatened because of the enormous light that he was carrying around. He was a divine spiritual illuminant. He arrives in a place and darkness is dispelled. In the precious name of Jesus, the days of your struggling with the devil are declared over. The light of another man cannot set you free, it is the light you have encountered that sets you free. Endeavour to encounter this light personally and then you escape without sweat.
A woman was reading a book by Bob Mumford titled ‘Face Off With A Miracle’. She was in a wheelchair in her laundry. She didn’t know when she stood up and was rinsing her clothes in the basin. Only to look back and find out that the wheelchair was behind. Light came! Darkness disappeared. Church Gist. She stood on her feet. I read that on February 14th 1983, it made such an impact on my life. Light is sweet. Ecclesiastes 11:7. Light beautifies destiny. Isaiah 60:1-3,8, 15, 22. Light decorates destiny. Once light comes, destiny is decorated. You are the one God is talking about.
There are two levels of spiritual insight:
1. Revelation
2. Illumination
John 1:9. While revelation is about insight, illumination is about being lighted and when you are lighted, darkness bows. Church Gist. The Church must move from the realm of revelation to the realm of illumination. That is the way to be free from all captivities of hell. It is time to move forward.
Can one be under siege and not know? Yes! Isaiah 42:25. It is possible to be under siege and not know. You tell your wife to get out, “No more! I am done with this marriage”. Satan is just behind the scenes urging you to say more. Drive her away, I want you to suffer. When your wife is gone you say there is a woman in your father’s house behind this. There is no woman. It is the devil you gave room to. He said give no place to the devil, do you know what he does? He influences our decisions against the Word of God. Church Gist. Every reaction you think is just your opinion, it is not your opinion. You know what he did? He deceived David to number Israel. David, a lover of God’s Word and God said “You shall not number my people”. 1 Chronicles 21:1. He stood against God. Joab said “My Lord, why are we doing this? This is going to be iniquity.” He went ahead and the plague claimed 70,000 people. He influences people’s decisions against the truth.
Christ was talking about the cost of our redemption and Peter took him and began to rebuke him. Can you imagine? Jesus looked at him and said, “Get behind me Satan”. At that point, Satan was the one working through Peter. People can be under a siege without knowing. That was when Peter realized that was Satan speaking through him. He can influence your decision against the truth at any time to make you sweat, to make you shed tears. Caution! We need light to be free from his manipulation. Church Gist. You say Poor Peter. What about Great Paul? Jesus appeared to him and said “Get thee out of this town now” and he said, “Can I explain?”. He just went straight into his waterloo. “Away with this man, he is not fit to live” (Acts 22:17-21). May every satanic manipulation around your life be exposed by the power of light.
These fellows didn’t have the New Testament, they were the Canons of the New Testament, so they wrote it. They wrote what they went through, they wrote what happened to them so we can escape it. In the precious name of Jesus, no one will make a decision against the truth again. Everything in the Word is the truth and nothing but the truth. You can do nothing against the truth but for the truth. When you start losing respect for the Word of God you have come under the influence of the stranger. This is what the Word says, you say it doesn’t matter. You are already on your way. That is like they say in Auction: Going, Going, Gone. “I am a man of myself. It doesn’t matter.’ Can you decide against God? Okay! Assuming you say you won what can you do to Him? Nothing! It is time to be awake. David went off, Judas also went off. Church Gist. Satan entered into Judas. Because you have been stealing all along and nobody arrested you. Why must you sell the source from where you are stealing? Luke 22:3. Satan was behind the whole deal. Satan got him into hell. He never knew that Satan entered him. It doesn’t matter, check on the man in the night. God encourages anyway one can be free. It is the devil’s manipulation. You are free from it today. I have not checked on any other god in 54 years and I am still on my feet. God is more than enough than all you will ever need.
As we round off this morning, let’s look at how to access from the power that rescues from the darkness:
1. One must be born again.
Mark 4:11. They can’t grab it, they only have the stories. One must be born again to access light.
2. One must embrace the fear of God as a lifestyle.
For sustainable access to revelation as in the case of Joseph and Daniel. Psalm 25:14. Living anyhow blocks the access. Joseph said, “But I fear God!”. Genesis 42:18. Genesis 41:38-39. Church Gist. The fear of God is a fundamental requirement for any man to sustain access to revelation. Daniel 1:8, 6:4-5. Daniel 5:11. The fear of God is fundamental to flowing in revelation, no shortcut.
3. We must continue to pray for access to revelation on every subject of interest.
I asked the Lord to show me the secret of Kingdom Prosperity, March 20th-22nd, I took relevant books along, particularly the books of the Copelands, the two of them, Gloria and Kenneth Copeland, The Law of Prosperity and God’s Will is Prosperity and my Bible and my heart on a search mission. On the third day, I found it. That I found it is no longer theoretical. I found it so much that I yelled “Ye! I can never be poor”. I found it because I searched for it. He that seeks finds. So I gained command of financial prosperity from those three days. What more do I need Jesus to get into this assignment? Church Gist. Five days. That I found some amazing things is clear today. You can’t find what you don’t look for. When a coin is missing you light your candle and sweep thoroughly, not and cry thoroughly. Sweeping through the pages of scriptures with your spirit man ignited. Searching for it with the whole of your spirit man and you find it. People claim to be looking for something but they are not looking for it at all. They are just wishing for it. For three days, I went before the Lord to enquire why this Church was not growing in fasting and prayer. Light landed and the Church is still growing and expanding. Three days! I can be preaching for fifty years but it is not equal to light. You can preach what you hear, you don’t need to see it. Just hear it and repeat it. If you are a teacher what you are doing is reading what they say and telling the students. There is a difference between light and it comes by looking for it. Psalm 119:18. Matthew 7:7-8.
4. We must continue to engage the ministry of the Holy Spirit to access Revelation from scriptures and through anointed books on any subject of concern.
Holy Spirit show me the light you showed this man. Show me the light you showed this woman. Lord grant me access to the relevant light on this subject matter as I go through your Word. Church Gist. John 14:26. The Comforter will teach you all things and bring them to your remembrance but you have to sit down in His class to learn. Study if you don’t want to be ashamed. 1 Timothy 2:15, 4:15.
5. We must stay in love with God to retain access to light from the Word.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10. Love facilitates access to light, so Paul the great lover was Paul a man of great depth in spiritual matters. Romans 8:35-37. Ephesians 3:1-5.
6. We must maintain joy and rejoicing in our hearts so as to maintain access to His presence where He shows us the path of life.
Joy and rejoicing grant us access to His presence. Psalm 16:11. Depression is a strategy of the devil to block our access to His presence where He shows us the path of life. Therefore I curse the siege of depression this morning. Your case can never be hopeless because you are joined to the living God and him that is joined to all the living there is hope. Ecclesiastes 9:4. My friend there is hope for you. Whatever makes you lose hope is the devil. Church Gist. I curse his hold on your life in the name of Jesus. Can you imagine? Big dream, first through the house of slavery, then the prison to the palace. He got there eventually. Job said until my change comes I will wait. I know my change is coming. There is hope for you. Job 14:14. Your change is here.
7. We must continue to give glory to God for both access and impact to the light of His Word.
No assumption! Thank you for giving me access to the light and for the impact of that light on my life. Deuteronomy 29:29. The secret things belong to God. If He doesn’t reveal it, we can’t access it. Church Gist. God showed us light. Psalm 118:27. Jeremiah 13:15-17. Give God glory for light, Give God glory for the impact of light lest He causes darkness to overrun it.
Give God thanks for your rescue today. Your light has come, your darkness must go. Satan is no match for any believer in a battle. Church Gist. His siege over your family is broken, his siege over your health is broken, his siege over your business is broken.
– The days of torture and torment in your sleep are over.
– The days of torture and torment in your family are over.
– The days of tension in your home are over.
– The days of looking backwards all the time are over.
I am praying one simple prayer for you: Receive grace to keep seeking for light. What set my wife free was light, one simple light she encountered. She documented it in the book ‘Rescued From Destruction’. Light! Nothing disarms the powers of darkness like light. Church Gist. So grace to pursue after light so as to stay free for life from everything that torments others, lift your two hands and call for that grace. It is your right to sustain access to light. Cry for it.
I am sure we know that light is in degrees. We have the fluorescent bulb, you have the torchlight, you have the lamp, their light is in degrees. 1 Corinthians 15:41. Ecclesiastes 4:13-15. The poor have taken the place of the prince by opening up to brighter light. People just settle down at one level of revelation with no forward movement. Things are getting tougher, you need brighter light. Proverbs 9:9. Men and brethren, I am still reading like a student. I am not reading for fun, I am reading for lessons on better ways of my pursuit of God. Church Gist. I showed some of our students who are volunteer missionaries who have gone for their NYSC right now. I showed them 16 of my memoirs for the year. Sixteen diaries written from back to back. Proverbs 9:9. Romans 11:33. Grace to keep seeking more light on every subject matter, go ahead and pray to receive it today.
Someone was about to commit suicide. He was wishing himself to die and he encountered light in a service like this and everything turned around. Church Gist. The sickness disappeared. Can you imagine a hole in the private part of a child and Jesus filling it up by an encounter with light?
– In the name of Jesus, the siege over your life in any area is finally over.
– May the same dominion of light over darkness that your Church enjoys become your experience.
– May no wickedness of the wicked prevail against you again.
– Your days of struggling for survival are declared over.
– Grace to engage a reversal of satanic decisions, receive it now.
– Grace to say sorry to your spouse and regain your home, receive it right now.
– Grace to turn off the path that is not profitable, receive it now.
Anyone who is about to ask Satan for help, let me tell you this. Satan has no gifts, he only has tricks. You ask the devil for a child and he will give you a demon or a principality. No! There is nothing good about the devil, he came to steal, kill and destroy. There is nothing a man gets from the devil that has a future. If God becomes your only expectation, your future is glorious. There is nothing from the devil that has a future. I am saying that to you from the pages of the scriptures as a prophet. Anyone thinking of going to the devil for help, the sorrows of them that hasten after another god shall be multiplied. It multiplies people’s sorrows, it doesn’t solve them. This Church is where we are today without any human hand that we can say that if they were not here it wouldn’t work. God is up to anything. God will decorate your life. People are getting international jobs that they knew nobody for free. It is your turn. Your uncles and your cousins are your problems so face God he will take you to any height. Every such step, grace to reverse today receive it right now.
