Last week, we hosted the International Ministers’ Conference that took place between Tuesday and Friday. God’s presence was awesomely manifest. Church Gist. We had participants from across 68 nations including online. The encounters of these ministers were awesome.
– In the name of Jesus, your own encounter will come this morning.
My son from Brazil, Pastor Medina, is here this morning. He pastors one of the great churches in Brazil.
UNVEILING THE WONDERS IN THE WORD
Psalm 119:18. That statement connotes that God’s Word is pregnant with wonders. In the beginning, we saw the wonders of the Word made manifest. Genesis 1:3. Church Gist. The wonders in the Word produced what can be seen.
– Beginning from this season, the wonders of the Word shall be evident in your life.
God said and God saw. Genesis 1:31. The wonders in the Word are very good. God said, God saw. Whatever God said, God made. Church Gist. The Word creates and creates what can be seen.
– In the name of Jesus, I welcome you to that realm where God’s creative power embedded in His Word will begin to create solutions in your life.
Whatever God says, God makes and whatever God makes can be seen. Church Gist. That’s the wonder content of the Word.
What is in the Word that stirs these wonders?
1. God’s Word Is Prophetic
2 Peter 1:19-21. They call it the more sure word of prophecy, they are direct from the mouth of God who cannot lie. The Word is tried in fire seven times because it is passed through human vessels, to remove the human elements from it. So it is pure and it is prophetic in nature. Church Gist. It speaks to our present and our future. Isaiah 34:16. God’s mouth declared it and whatever He declared in Genesis 1 was created and we are still seeing it today.
– May the prophetic dimension of the Word come through to you today.
God’s Word is prophetic. Luke 1:45. Every statement of scripture is by the mouth of God, so when we believe it, we commit God to perform it.
– I see amazing performances of the Word taking place in every one’s life now.
In those early days in the 70s, there were amazing prophetic words coming in, among them was that God was going to stir up jealousy by His acts in the lives of His people. I was in many of those meetings and I saw me in that scripture. You are going to show off in the lives of your people in this end time. I saw myself in this picture. Tiny young man but I saw me in that picture. If God was going to up in the lives of His people, I must be part of them. Then it was a challenge to publicly say you are a Christian because it means you are useless but God’s Word came saying: The faith will soon become the envy of men. That was flying over us young people as we found it in the Word. That is what it is today to the glory of God. Everybody wants to be a part of it because it’s working. Prophetic words are assets, just inject your faith and you have committed the hand of God to perform it.
– In the name of Jesus, every Word spoken concerning you in this Book shall find fulfillment.
2. God’s Word is ordained for fulfilment, not just for information. Isaiah 14:24. They’re sworn verdicts. Isaiah 55:8-9. Church Gist. So, His Words are His thoughts in print. Isaiah 55:10-11. His Word is ordained for fulfilment.
– I see God’s Word being fulfilled in everyone’s life in a new dimension.
November 1981, you know it is God who shows us light, Psalm 118:27, God showed me the light on His purpose for instituting marriage and He showed me what responsibilities that belong to us to maximize that purpose. Church Gist. When I saw it, I came forth with this very sarcastic statement, “I’m set for a hitch-free marriage”, that has been the case today and that has been the case for many people in this Church and outside this Church. Church Gist. Hitch-free marriage, being married without any pressure associated with marriage, by God’s Word that is ordained for fulfilment.
I saw me in redemption as being redeemed as a King and a Priest to reign on the earth. It got a hold of me, as a small boy, I’ll be going out and I’ll ask myself, “will a king go out like this?” Church Gist. Every Word encounter is ordained for fulfilment when it’s mixed with faith in you. Can I hear your Amen? You’ll see more wonders.
3. God’s Word is alive forever. That is, it has no tenure, it works all through generations, same potency. That’s what makes it wonderful. It’s alive forever. Psalm 119:89. Matthew 24:35. Church Gist. How do we experience the forever manifestation of the Word? 1 John 2:17. So, doing the Word keeps it working forever. It is in the doing, not in the knowing. The knowing is to help you know what to do, it’s the doing of the Word that makes it to work.
The Word does not work in the head, the only good ground where the Word works is a good and honest heart. God’s Word in the heart is the Word that works, not the Word in the head. Luke 8:15. Church Gist. All the other three grounds are in the head realm – by the wayside, “I don’t have time for you”; among the thorns, “I have more concerns than what you’re talking about”; on the rock, “it may work or it may not work”. They’re all in the head realm. When the Word enters in your good heart, it has landed in a good ground where it’ll grow and bring forth fruits. Church Gist. There are things I received in 1970 that are still working now. There are things in 1973 and 1974 that are still working now. When it’s planted in your good heart, it procures a future.
When I was 20, I saw that making away with what is not yours can cut down a man’s lifespan. Jeremiah 17:11. Church Gist. Stay off whatever that is not yours! That talked to me and a friend visited that time, I shared with him. So, 2016, we met and he said, “Sir, you shared something with me in ’74”. I said, “sure”, “and I asked you, what’s an ostrich?” I said, “well, I don’t know but it lays eggs so it must be a bird”. Praise God. It enters the right place. Church Gist. Sir, ensure the Word does not stay in your head, circumstances can flood it away, when it enters your heart, forget it. The devil has no access to your heart, he’s only limited to your mind.
2 Corinthians 11:3. It can only get there, it can’t get down here. Psalm 27:8. God’s Word is alive forever when it is down in your good and honest heart. What is in the Word that transforms?
God’s Word is transformational. Romans 12:2. 2 Corinthians 3:18. God’s Word stirs changes – Spirit, soul and body. It’s transformational but it’s walking in the Light that transforms, not just having the Light but walking in the Light. Isaiah 60:1. What is it that causes us to shine as light comes? By walking in the Light. Church Gist. John 12:35-36. James 2:18. While you have the Light, walk in the Light before it turns to darkness. There is a lifespan of light. After daybreak comes nightfall. Don’t let the night fall in the Light you receive. Respond to light as quickly as it strikes. That is the step of Abraham’s faith. Whatever God told Abraham, he responded. Don’t watch darkness take over. While ye have the Light, walk in the Light.
When I saw Matthew 6:33, that awesome night. I entered into a covenant in writing to make it my lifestyle and signed it as I saw it. It’s going to be 50 years in July, I’m still having fun, enjoying myself. In 1977 when I saw Jeremiah 29:11, that ‘your future is in My plan not in your plan’, I dashed all on my plans and subscribed wholly to His plan and here we are today. Church Gist. As you see the Light, dive into it. We have this Story in John 5, an angel will come to that Pool and stir the Water and whosoever first steps in is made whole of whatever disease. Every time light strikes and you don’t dive, it fades away. “I’ll think about it.” Before you finish thinking you can’t find it again. When I saw Deuteronomy 8:18 on the covenant platform of empowerment for wealth, I signed up and said: “Yeah! I can never be poor if this is what it takes.” 22 March 1982 and here we are today by grace.
When I saw corporate tithing and that it includes the Church, ‘the same way I open the Heaven over the lives of individuals through tithing, I open the Heavens over the lives of institutions, organization including Churches’. I heard from the mouth of Jesus. So I brought this Church under that Covenant. Church Gist. We are a hyper prosperous Church drawing from His riches in glory. Nobody taught me Sir. The Holy Ghost came into the room and took me through, I wasn’t praying for it. I was doing my study. It swept all over me like fire, I brought the Church under it. This one where we are doing a project without anybody knowing.
Ain’t you glad that God added 50 more buses to our fleet yesterday. You know? It’s our year of Open Doors not Open Door. The buses are on, this morning in their various places where they deployed them to. One encounter! 4 September 1987. Church Gist. People play with encounter sir, they toy with it. The Ark is just enjoying itself no stress, no strain, no prayer point. You better catch it! All these things I have found before I met you so it’s not that I saw you and I’m now trying to impress you. I caught it, I knew it’s a word from the Lord. By grace, this is one of the most prosperous Church institutions in the World.
-And you are on board that flight. So your days of financial struggles must end!
You have seen the pictures of the small beginnings of this Church. You saw how prosperous your pastor was. Church Gist. He was very fat. You see that Pulpit? That’s wonder pulpit. It’s just one wood and then one something on top of it.
-No matter where you are today, if you will walk in the Light of the Word, He will change your story.
God’s Word is creative. Whatever is declared, you receive and believe; He creates it. Matthew 8:8-13. “Go to the Sea, cast a hook; the first fish that comes out, open the mouth, take the coin, go and pay them.” As the Word went forth, the coin was created in the mouth of the Fish and the Fish was waiting for the hook. God’s Word is creative. Matthew 17:26-27. God’s Word is creative. “Give ye them to eat” and food was created that 5,000 men minus women and children were fed to the full with 12 baskets left over. God’s Word is creative.
– Every irreparable part of your body, I declare it recreated!
He was not just the Creator. He is still the Creator today. “I am the Lord. I change not. In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the Earth.” Church Gist. In the present, God is still creating. In the future, He will still be creating and He creates solutions.
– So, I decree solutions created to your issues of concerns!
All things in existence were created by His Word including man and He specializes in recreating anything dead or dying in around us. He has the power. Church Gist. The power that created is the same power that recreates.
– Whatever needs to be recreated in anyone’s life is recreated this morning!
That’s just espousing the wonder content of the Word.
How Do We Tap Into These Wonders?
1. The first is to gain spiritual access. There’s a difference between intellectual understanding and spiritual understanding. You don’t need fasting to gain intellectual understanding of Chemistry or Biology. Church Gist. Colossians 1:9…All wisdom and spiritual understanding! To tap into the wonders of the Word, the first step is access to the spiritual understanding of the Word. Spiritual understanding of the Word and that comes through prayers oftentimes, coupled with fasting. Jeremiah 33:3.
Isaiah 58:6,8. So fasting enhances access to light. The reason is because “the god of this World has blinded the minds of them which believe not lest the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ who is the image of God should shine unto them.” Church Gist. Darkness is ever scared of light. So satan whose stronghold is darkness, is scared of your access to light and my access to light. 2 Corinthians 4:4. But no matter what kind of resistance, Jesus said, “this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” So you can fast the blindness off.
Now listen, when this Church was crawling, I don’t have patience with failure. After 3 months, Church was still dancing around 21. I said, “Lord, this can’t be.” So, we went to prayer and fasting. On the third day, He asked me, “stand up and follow me.” So I left the other people in the prayer room and followed Him. Then He got to a point and He said, “turn back here” and I did. Then He showed me a layer of thick darkness over the roof of the Church and He said, “that is the blindfolding weapon the devil uses to misinterpret what I’m doing in this Church.” Church Gist. Can I tell you something? There are innocent people sitting down in Church. The solution to their issues is being transmitted and the blindfolder says, “don’t bother, this is your cross. Not everybody will prosper. Not everybody will succeed. Lazarus also made Heaven. Don’t bother about your situation”… – just to blind your access to it and keep that individual in captivity.
We never saw any layer of darkness until when we fasted. Fasting revealed where the secret was and the Lord was like saying deal with it. Church Gist. And I said, “you foul spirit of darkness, there’s a light that shines in darkness that darkness cannot handle. Get off that roof now” and I saw it rolled away like a carpet. The destiny of the Church opened up.
– That’s how your destiny will open up!
There are forces of darkness. You better know that and that we have what it takes to shatter them. Among which is prayer and fasting. Don’t forget faith. Faith is the baseline. “Why could we not cast it out? Because of unbelief.” Faith. Church Gist. It shouldn’t be like this. God’s Word says it shouldn’t be like this and I believe it. Therefore, I engage in prayer. Whatever is holding it down? Get off there.
– Somebody is blessed this morning!
One of my sons here served in a company that was not working and he said, “Well, in our Church, we engage in prayer and fasting to turn things around when they are not working. Can I ask that we engage in prayer and fasting?” The company just erupted, boom. When he was done with NYSC (National Youth Service Corps), they won’t let him go. They won’t let him go, sir. He was the Jacob in the house of Laban. I mean prayer and fasting opened up the destiny of a company that was dying. Church Gist. Now here are some bonafide Winners, company is dying. (He’s just eating) biscuits. snacks. “I need some orange juice – 30°c. I don’t take anything above 10°- chilling. His company is being freezed and he is here chilling. Spiritual solution is the real solution. So look for it. Look for it!
You say, what will happen if we didn’t go through that fasting that opened up the destiny? We will still be there. God is no respecter of persons. Church Gist. Don’t watch your problems overwhelm you. Since you know what to do, do it. Access to light is the first step to tapping into the wonders of the Word. Access to light!
– Every blindfolding power of hell that won’t let you see the light required to fulfill your destiny in Christ is shattered this morning!
2. We mentioned it. Respond promptly to every encounter with delight from the Word. Respond quickly. Ephesians 5:8, John 12:35-36.
Number three, to tap into the wonders of the world, be committed to giving God all the glory for every change of story experienced. Keep giving God all the glory for every change of story experienced. Keep giving God all the glory. We are very used to that in church. Church Gist. Give glory to the Lord before He causes darkness. Jeremiah 13:16-17. Before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while you look for light, He turns it into the shadow of death. Give glory to God before it causes darkness. As soon as you see a change, Father, I thank you. Jesus, I thank you. Amen.
Today is the exemption banquet, give the Lord a big hand of praise. This book is full of wonders. Lord, help me to sustain access to the wonders in your word. Let me say this before we ride on. Church Gist. This is the solution book of life. What do I call it? And the Holy Ghost is the one that decodes it. So, engage the ministry of the Holy Spirit in locating the solutions to issues of interest to you and in the name of Jesus. You’ll be finding the answers with speed.
This is not a religious book. The word has spoken to you. They are Spirits and they are alive. They are not religious. Church Gist. They are Spirits and they are life. You do what this book says, you make your way prosperous and you have good success. It contains all the words of this life. Whichever your career may be in life, it contains all the words of this life. Acts 5:20. So you have in your hand the answer book of life. You will never lack answers again.
Understanding your exemption rights in redemption. Galatians 6:17 Is our rider scripture. From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.” Would you say that please? I’d like you to be very personal about it. Church Gist. It’s a declaration of faith. Say it one more time. Now for the last time with conviction. That is sealed in heaven. Witches can’t touch you again. Occultic powers can’t reach you again, because you now bear in your body the marks of Jesus. You have been bought with a price. You are now Jesus’s property.
Which wolf will walk into a lion’s den with a lion at home to molest his children? Which wolf with his eyes open will walk into a lion’s den with the lion mother and father at home to pick the lion cub? You are now members of God’s household. Church Gist. You have the mark of royalty on your life. As wild and senseless as kidnappers are in Nigeria, would they kidnap the son of the president? With all the demons walking inside them, would they dare the son of the president? You will now know Nigeria has forces. They will clear them up. They also know so they stay off. How much more a child of the king?
No agent of the devil can touch me and go free. I’m so conscious of it. No agent of the devil, no matter how demonic, can touch me and go free. Except God has left heaven. You better know your worth in redemption. Lo, I’m with you always. His name is Emmanuel. Church Gist. God with us. You mean the lion will stand by his cub and then you say you’re a kidnapper? You will not only be kidnapped, you will be consumed. The kidnapper will be consumed. Amen. Understand that sir.
Can you imagine somebody sending you to go and kidnap me? Just think of it. They say, “Where are you going? I’m going to kidnap papa.” He said, “That’s the worst trouble of your life.” Church Gist. Somebody you will hear his ringing tone on the phone and you are jittering, you are going to pick him. Are you dead? There you are. We share the same heritage, you only need to know it.
· Your case is settled. Today is declared your day of life-long exemption.
So, by your right in redemption, you are not supposed to suffer what the world around you suffers. because your case is different. He said you are a peculiar people. You are a royal priesthood. You are a holy nation. You are chosen to show the praises of Him. Church Gist. Not the regret, not the pity. The praises of Him who has called you out of darkness in His marvelous light. You are peculiar to live a marvelous life, a life to be marvelled at. When devil hears your name, they stay clear. The same way God exempted Israel from all the plague that came upon Egypt, we are exempted. The swarm of flies came, which connotes stench. There were no flies where Israel dwelt.
· Nothing will stink in your life.
It was a massive business collapse. All their cattles died. But not one cattle that belongs to Israel died. Church Gist. Your business will not die. There was hail and tempest, talking about devastation. It never happened to Israel in Egypt. No devastation is permitted in your life.
– No dev@station is permitted in your life!
“And there was gross d@rkness, the kind that could be felt.” Exodus 10:21-23. “But in Goshen where Israel dwells there was light.”
– No matter the confus!on in this world, your case will be different!
– You will always know the right thing to do!
– You will always know the right way to go!
There was sudden de@th. All the firstborn in Egypt, of the king down to the peasant, all d!ed. The first born of all beasts d!ed but not one lost its life in Israel. Church Gist. In the same vein, no matter the pl@gue that visit the earth, like in the days of C0V1D 19, we were colorfully exempted.
– In the name of Jesus, no pl@gue strikes the earth and touch your life!
Covenant people usually flourish in hard times.
– Therefore, no economic situation will get you stranded!
Money fade in the land of Egypt in Genesis chapter 47 to the point people were offering themselves for sale. But we are told in verse 27, Church Gist “But Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt in the province of Goshen, and they had possessions therein, and grew and multiplied exceedingly in the midst of the heat of the fam!ne.
– In the name of Jesus Christ, no matter what happen to the economy of the world, it will not touch you!
In Psalm 33:18-19, hear what the Word says, “Behold the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in His mercy; to deliver their soul from de@th and to keep them alive in fam!ne. Malachi 3:18, “Then shall you return and discern between righteous and the w!cked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth Him not.” Church Gist. Malachi 4:1, “For, behold, the day cometh, that bǔrn like an oven; and all the proud and all that do w1ckedly, they shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall bǔrn them up, leaving them with neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healings in His wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves out of the stalls.”
– In the midst of a burned down, you’ll be growing up and going forward!
That begins from Malachi chapter 3:6-18. If you are on in the covenant, no matter what obtains on the earth, it won’t reach you. It didn’t reach; it hasn’t and it has never reached this church because we are in the covenant. Church Gist. Two weeks ago, we had 50 buses added to our fleet. Yesterday we had another 50 buses added to it. I don’t know what will happen next week or the week after. It’s amazing! In the midst of the heat. But I’ve been teaching that for long.
I wrote it in my book in 1986, “A time is coming things will be burn!ng down and people will not know that things are burn1ng down.” I believe in these things written in your heart than in your note. There’s nothing wrong in writing in your note. Church Gist. But if it’s not in your heart, it’s a waste. You better enlist now because the w0rst is yet to come. Just like we know, the best for the redeemed is yet to come. He said, “But this is the beginning of sorrows.” You better connect with light. No games, no gimmicks; covenant in action.
– It’s your turn!
Thank you, Jesus. I’m here to let you know today, your case is different.
– Your case is different!
To exercise your exemption right, first be born again. That is fundamental requirement for accessing any blessing of the kingdom. Church Gist. “For except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God,” and you can’t possess what you cannot see. So, be born again.
Number two, have a revelation of your exemption right in Christ as we have been saying it in this service. Have a revelation of your exemption right in Christ. Hold fast to that revelation. This is God saying that my case is different. Church Gist. I’m redeemed as a peculiar person. I’m not permitted to suff3r the ass@ult that the world around me sǔfférs. Don’t only know it; hold to it. “Hold thou fast which you have, lest another man take your crown.
Number three, develop a covenant exemption mentality. “For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Develop a covenant exemption mentality. “Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Church Gist. Let exemption mentality become your new lifestyle. My case is different. “Whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, think only of these things.”
– Your household is declared a no-go area for the d3vil.
Keep the love of God alive in your heart. “For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.” Church Gist. Keep God’s love or your love for God alive and nothing is permitted to go am!ss in your life.
– Therefore, in the name of Jesus Christ, beginning from today in a new and higher dimension, all things will keep working together for your good!
Number five, commit to serving God and the interest of His kingdom and all these things that others are dying to get, including protection, exemption from ev1l, shall be added to you. Because by serving God, Church Gist He gives to you and me power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the powers of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hǔrt us. So, when you are committed to serving God, you are not permitted to be hurt.
– You are free in the name of Jesus!
– By this anointing today, I see God marking you out for exemption!
– I see every y0ke of the w1cked targeted at your destruction destroyed today!
I see the s!ege of depr3ssion because the anointing is the oil of joy. I see the siege of depr3ssion which is the bait of the d3vil to oppr3ss. You cannot be oppr3ssed by the d3vil until you are first depr3ssed.
– I see the s!ege of depr3ssion destr0yed in anyone’s life today!
– By this anointing, I decree the release of joy unspeakable full of glory!
– Your head will never be cast down again!
What this does is simple, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.” Joy from within keeps a man healthy.
– Therefore, by this anointing today, the s!ege of s!ckn3ss is destroyed!
What more, “With joy, we draw with revelation from the wells of salvation.”
– From today, depr3ss!on will not be allowed to block your access anymore!
– By this anointing, expect next level breakthroughs in your life!
– You will hear news this week!
– Expect the healing power of God to flow through your life!
– No one leaves this room with any s!ckness today!
– Every p@in and disc0mfort at the instance of the anointing drops off your life!
“And as they went from one place to another, from one kingdom to another people, He suffered no man to do them wrong: Church Gist yea, He reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no h@rm.” Psalm 105:13-15.
– I declare every agent of the d3v!l sent to ass@ult your life rebuked today!
– Their hands shall not be able to perform their enterprise!
– The God of vengeance will strike in their midst!
– You and your household shall be unscratched!
– You and your children shall be unscratched!
– You and your spouse shall be unscratched!
– It shall be good news only and good news ever!
