I want you to pick something from here today and if we stop there it is enough. The Bible is the answer book of life. Church Gist. This book is God’s solution for all of man’s challenges. This book! Luke 10:42. Of all the things in the world, Jesus said one thing is most needful – sitting at the Word.
From Deuteronomy 28:1-13, all the aspirations of man is included if you will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God and observe to do all His commandments as contained in scriptures, the Lord your God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth and all these blessings will come to you and overtake you. Church Gist. Covering all areas of life. You shall be blessed in the city, blessed outside the city, your storehouse shall be blessed, your body shall be blessed, everything. You shall be above only and not be beneath. You will lend to nations and not borrow. That is from this book, the solution book of life.
If you can catch that, your struggles will come to an end. “Lord, show me the secret of Kingdom prosperity”, He showed me from here. “Lord, who pays me now I am going into full time ministry?” He showed me from here. Church Gist. It is the answer book of life. “Lord, what’s your purpose for instituting marriage”, He showed me from the Bible. “Why is this Church not growing?” He showed me from here. The answer book of life.
The Bible is a manual for profitable living. It is the creator’s manual for His children to maximize their destiny. Everything you will ever need, the Bible calls it all the words of this life. Acts 5:20. This book contains all the words of this life. Church Gist. It is not for preaching, it is for living. Man shall live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Preaching is stewardship, living in the light of scriptures is what creates a future.
Now, the whole world is looking for success. Joshua 1:8. Good success means success at a good rate. Success at a good rate. My heart is burning. This is the answer book. Church Gist. You are running helter skelter, North Pole to South Pole. I have lived my entire life by the grace of God, by the dictates of this book.
Please don’t turn your back on the book. Don’t turn your back on the content of this book. It is to your disadvantage. You believe it is your choice and it adds value to you. Church Gist. You don’t believe it, it doesn’t change it. You can do nothing against the truth but for the truth. This book brought this church under an open heaven. No matter what happens to the economy of the world, it can’t affect us. This book!
I have not had one prayer point on marriage since we got married some ‘few weeks ago’ because I got the answer for marriage before I was married. Church Gist. I am yet to knock on anybody’s door for aid, financial aid? No! I got the answer. I knew my employer before I got the job. My pay was guaranteed without knowing a person.
You run around too much, so you fall into some funny prophets. “There is somebody behind your house.” Everybody has somebody behind their house. They turn you to a toy because you lack understanding of the Word. “If not that my uncle hated me, I know that my life would have been better than this” is a lie. Church Gist. You shall know the truth and it will set you free from your uncle, set you free from your cousin, set you free from anybody and set you free from yourself because you are mostly your problem. Study! You say no! You are not a pastor. Okay, you struggle. The good news is the solution is in the Bible no matter the problem.
I have always resorted to this for answers. At every crossroad, this is the reference.
– The good news is you never live under circumstances again because you are created to be above them.
Matthew 11:28-29. Can I hear you say with me, if you have your Bible here, ‘this is the Answer Book of life. This is Solution Book to all problems, no matter what’. Amen. Thank you Jesus. Church Gist. Won’t that change your perspective to the Bible? Men and brethren, I’ve lived on that truth for 57 years, it works like fire. 57 years is not 57 days and I’m still singing and laughing, I’m still triumphing. You have enemies? Oh yes. When the Lord is your Shepherd, your enemies are helplessly helpless. Church Gist. When you’re living by the truth, your enemies are helplessly helpless. Darkness cannot be a threat to light.
Unveiling the wonders in the Word. Psalm 119:18. God’s Word is pregnant with wonders. We began this teaching series, UNVEILING THE WONDERS IN THE WORD – PART 1. Church Gist. The Bible is not a history book, it’s a book of mysteries. Mark 4:11. The Word is not a fiction but a Book of revelations. It unveils Heaven’s agenda as it relates to you and me. 2 Corinthians 3:18. The revelations from book this revolutionizes life, it does. Whatever one sees and believes in the Word is what he’s entitled to experience. Luke 1:45. So, performance demands that you believe in what is spoken. Church Gist. It is what you believe out of what is spoken that God performs. Like that my son said, “I picked that one thing – the Angel of this Commission goes with you”. Now, listen, in 45 years, first time that statement will come out. Some are too relaxed to win the battles of life. The Holy Ghost told me, He said, “we are in the days of danger, so release the Angel of this Commission to go with them”. Church Gist. That place could have exploded. It is what you believe from this Book that you’re entitled to experience. You’re writing too many things oh, it’s not what you write, it’s what you believe. You listen to tapes everyday, listening is not what makes it happen, it’s what you believe from what you listen to is what you experience. “It doesn’t work!” No, it doesn’t work for those who don’t believe it. Church Gist. The Word works for only those who believe. James 2:18. Show me your faith without your corresponding action and I’ll show you my faith by my actions.
Some people forgot the Angel from the day they left here, they forgot. That is, after the service, they just forgot. “Papa said some things today oh, amazing things. Papa can talk, I tell you”. Church Gist. Okay, what did he say? He didn’t remember. That is a treasure for his free protection, he just trashed it, it didn’t make meaning to him. Some have not checked one Scripture that will help that thing to settle in them.
I was in a conference in 1990 and the one thing I heard, I was a speaker in that conference, “follow me and I will make you”. Church Gist. I mean, it was so strong, it was thunderous, from one other minister and the Holy Ghost began to speak to me, “your making is in following me. Your making stops when you stop following”. I mean, it was so real, so deep, so rich, I went home with it.
I was in a conference and I was speaking in that conference too when someone came up and spoke about it water baptism, I never saw it sir. I went to be baptized. Church Gist. People thought I went to baptize them, I went to be baptized and I experienced a change in my life. Don’t sit down like Oga oh, every Word applies to everybody including those who are preaching it. In case you’re not baptized sir, you won’t go to Heaven oh. You fulfill all righteousness by water baptism. “How can I baptize when it’s not Papa baptizing me?” No, I’m not Papa the Baptist. I baptized people last in 1985. If you’re waiting for me… You better go and soak inside water quick. Church Gist. Jesus needed to be baptized, Jesus the Saviour. Matthew 3:15. Can you imagine all your efforts in this world and they now say the only thing that won’t let you get inside is water baptism. They say why? “You know, I don’t like to be drenched. Between being drenched and going to Hevaen and the other side, which one do you choose? You better go and be drenched my friend. Church Gist. I was a speaker when I went to baptize. If you think that because you got PhD in Bible knowledge, you don’t get baptized, I don’t know where you’re going, please. It’s not membership, it’s identification with Christ so you can work in the newness. Praise God! Somebody is blessed.
Every part of this Book offers solution. When next they have…. In fact, you should be the one asking,” when is the next water baptism?” You should be the one asking. Church Gist. They shouldn’t announce it, you should be the one asking. Praise God. Because you need it! Somebody is blessed.
– The doors that God has ordained to open to you this year must open!
– every closed door must open to you! You believe it, let me hear your loudest Amen.
You’ll understand among others that:
1. God’s Word set captives free. John 1:5. When the light of God’s Word breaks forth, satan’s hold is broken. Luke 4:36.
2. The Word provokes supernatural breakthroughs. Church Gist. After Peter let out his boat to Jesus, He said, “now, launch out into the deep for a catch”. Luke 5:4-7. Net-breaking, boat-sinking dimension of breakthrough.
– Many are walking into that this time!
Exodus 23:25. So Peter served Jesus with his boat and a supernatural breakthrough came along. Church Gist. It is engaging with the Word that provokes victory. Isaiah 60:1-3. Kings-humbling breakthroughs.
-Breakthrough that humble kings. They are the kind that is packaged for you. Church Gist. Breakthrough that humble kings is your portion in Christ.
And that’s walking in the Word. Now listen to me. “Lord, who pays me?” He said: “You are in my employment, I’m responsible. Just stay on duty. For the ‘labourer only’ is worthy of his hire.” Not the leader, the labourer. Luke 10:7. So I signed up to stay on duty. All Heavens know, I’ve been on duty. Church Gist. All devils know, I’ve been on duty so God will always keep His part of the covenant by taking responsibility for my total supplies – Spirit, soul and body. It’s not just having the light, it’s walking in the light that engenders supernatural breakthroughs. Isaiah 60:8,15 and 22. What’s that? Supernatural breakthroughs. When a man becomes like a thousand people, when a man becomes like a strong nation. That’s supernatural breakthrough. That’s how much breakthrough power is in the Word.
4. The Word guides us through the journey of life.
Psalms 119:105. He guides our steps.
So what is in the Word that makes it that thick?
1. God’s power is domiciled in His Word.
So when you receive and believe in His Word, you are empowered to experience it. John 1:12-14. There is translational power in the Word that translates what is written that you received and believed into reality. Remember, where the word of the King is, there is power and He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Church Gist. Absolute power resides in Him and His Word. Psalm 29:3-4. Now, wait a minute, Isaiah 34:16 defines this Book as God’s voice in print. So it’s powerful! The Voice of God is behind every statement of Scriptures. Powerful. Romans 1:16. The Gospel is the carrier of the Word of God that brings Salvation, healings, name it. Christ was teaching and what happened? The power of God was present to heal them. The Word was emitting the power that heals.
-Some people will be sitting down right here, your healing is going on. Church Gist. Your system is being put to order now. Someone is online wherever you are in the World, your healing is taking place right now.
God’s Word is powerful.
2. It is supernatural. That is, full of wonders.
Isaiah 9:6. That’s Jesus, the Living Word. So the Living Word is full of wonders. Every name in Scriptures carries its meaning. His name shall be called wonderful and His name is Jesus and He is the Living Word of God so the Word of God is full of wonders. Genesis 1. Wonders took place. God’s Word is full of wonders. All other books are made up of letters but this Book. Church Gist. God’s own book is made up of wonders. “Go forward!” “What? To go and get drown in the Red Sea?” Just obey My command. And the Red Sea gave way. Exodus 14:15. God’s Word is full of wonders. 2 Kings 7:1. That Man mocked the Prophetic Word. But the following day by Heaven’s arrangement, surplus food came to town. The famine was overturned like a dream of the night. God’s Word will always come to pass when received and believed. Praise God. Mark 16:20.
3. God’s Word emits the supernatural.
Matthew 4:23. Matthew 8:8-13. God’s Word emits the supernatural. Church Gist. Christ was teaching and healing all manner of sicknesses. Matthew 4:23. God’s Word emits the supernatural.
4. God’s Word delivers.
– If anybody is under any oppression of the devil today, today is your day!
– That oppression ends here now!
Psalm 107:20, John 8:32, John 17:17. So the truth of the Word sets free.
– I see your liberty established today!
– That hold of the wicked is broken off your life!
5. The truth of the Word sets free from all satanic shackles. Isaiah 5:13, Acts 10:38. The living Word! Matthew 8:16. Many many years ago, we were in a crusade and somebody was delivered from insanity (I’ve shared this before) as we brought him to our camp. The following day, those evil spirits came back on him; he became wild like a wounded lion. Church Gist. Some of the brethren with muscles went there with their muscles to hold him down. He will flung them like this (demonstrating). So they said, Brother David, there is a problem here. So I got there; I said, “is this your problem? Leave him!” And I fired Jude 1:6; I mean, it came like lightning… “What are you doing here?” (He breathed heavily) – all the demons left ‘instanta.’ His Word sets free.
December 25th, I was swimming in John 1. I mean, God was just blessing me with light from that Scripture and then I was home for our family meeting and they said, “your son is sick.” I said, “what about him?” They said, “insanity.” I said, “okay, I’m coming down.” I got into the room Sir, I was the only one he knew. He stood up in his madness and prostrated to greet me. Church Gist. They said, “you know him?” He said, “I know him, that’s my brother.” I said, “dress him up, let me see the devil that has the power to enter my car with me.” John 1:5 chased out insanity forever. Never reoccured, no treatment, no therapy, no medication, no vaccination!
God’s Word sets free. To show how correct his brain was, it was after that he went to the University. Isn’t that correct? We took him to Teaching Hospital the following day; they said, “what’s wrong with you?” He said, “do you mean what was wrong with me or what is wrong with me?” Church Gist. Sound by the power of God! There was no special prayer prayed over him. Please, mind the Word. The Word sets free.
– Somebody is free right now!
The Word sets free. The light of the Word will set free from the powers of darkness anyday, anytime. Darkness can never contest the authority of light. But the entrance not the reading, not the study – the entrance of the Word gives light and gives understanding to the simple. Church Gist. As commonly said here, the dominion of light over darkness is instant and unquestionable. All the forces of hell operate through the medium of darkness and the Word is the light that shines in darkness that darkness cannot handle.
So when you are operating and walking in the light of Scriptures, you have made a nonsense of all the strongholds of hell. Jesus said in Luke 22:53, “this is your hour and the power of darkness” – that’s the ultimate the devil has got. The ultimate! Church Gist. “This is your hour and the power of darkness.” That’s where he operates. That’s where his stronghold works. So when you are walking in the light, you are there.
We got to a country and there was this notorious w!tch that was there. She arrived there before us the same day and went to the hotel and then we arrived and went to the same hotel. As soon as we arrived Sir, she took off. Light and darkness can’t stay in the same place. She left unceremoniously. Church Gist. They welcomed her with pomps and pageantry at the airport. She just escaped. I never saw her. Darkness can’t pretend not to see light. When light comes, darkness bows.
– From today, everything disturbing your life hitherto will start clearing the way for you!
Stop overrating the devil. The strength of darkness is in the absence of light. Stop overrating the devil. Church Gist. The strength of darkness is in the absence of light.
– By this Communion today, you will receive your eye opening miracle!
To Tap Into The Wonders Of The Word:
1. Be born again. Isaiah 8:18, John 3:8. So it is new birth that registers one in the school of the supernatural. Until you are born again, you are not a candidate. Church Gist. Not guess work new birth, not mental new birth – new birth with proofs. The fruit of the Spirit coming alive: love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faith, temperance coming alive in you making you a new creature.
2. We have said it, be committed to walking in the light of God’s Word and darkness will start clearing the way for you. Church Gist. To tap into the wonders of the Word, be born again; be committed to walking in the light of God’s Word.
3. Possess a meek spirit so you will keep seeing brighter, brighter and brighter. Psalm 25:9, Matthew 11:28-29. Moses operated in the realm of very strange revelation. God Himself said, “I speak to him face to face.” That’s the kind of revelation he had. Church Gist. But he was very meek above all the people that were on the face of the Earth. Numbers 12:3. So the quality of our meekness (meekness of spirit) determines how much access to light we will ever have.
– The answer has come!
– I said, your answer has come!
– Your long awaited solution has just arrived!
Today is our Turnaround Banquet Service and I want you to please understand from the on set that God has reserved a turnaround package for His children on earth. Proverbs 4:18.
– Yours will not be more and less anymore but more and more and more and more!
“You have gone round this mountain long enough my friend, you have a turnaround heritage in me – take responsibility.” Deuteronomy 2:3. “You’ve gone around this mountain long enough. I’m concerned.” Church Gist. God is concerned, He’s saying. Because you have a heritage of turnaround with God.
Revelation is the master key to a turnaround experience in the kingdom. Revelation, the breaking forth of light. Whenever light breaks forth, dārkness backs out. Church Gist. Forces were sitting on you before, He said, “Arise, shine as your light comes.” Just walk in the light. It shall be said of you, “Who are these that fly as the clouds.” Isaiah 60:8.
You’ll never get grounded walking in the light. Church Gist. No one ever gets grounded walking in the light.
* It’s your turn!
Think of this simple solution; turnaround key, one of the vital keys. In Isaiah 54 and verse one, it says, “Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear. Break forth into singing, and sing aloud,” not in secret, “Thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife.” As you do that, the many children inside you will come out, sayeth the Lord. “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth.” I mean, what a prescription, Sir. It doesn’t look normal. You are barren. You didn’t give birth. Church Gist. I mean, time is passing. “Break forth into singing.” You are aged, He said. “Lengthen thy cords, strengthen thy stakes. You shall break forth.” You say, how? He says, “Start singing.” That’s what they call light oh. Light comes to tell you what to do for the change you desire. What to do. That means give up on mûrmur!ng and compla!ning, you remain at the same spot forever. Stop it. The people complained and God heard it, and His wr@th was kindled against them. Not mercy, wr@th. They that mûrmūr in the wild3rness were destroyed by the d3str0yer, 1 Corinthians 10:10. So your turnaround forbids murmuring. Your turnaround forbids complaining. Thank you, Jesus.
It’s not just quoting Scriptures, “I shall be the head and not the tail.” Know what to do for a change of story. It’s time to tell mûrmur!ng and complaining, you have not added nothing to me till now. Church Gist. Get out of my way. I have found a way out. I have found a way on. I’m not going to stay at the same spot anymore.
In Habakkuk 3:17 through 19, it say, “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, there shall not be fruit in the vines; the fruit of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls. Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” It’s a mystery. “The Lord is my strength. Church Gist. He will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and He will make me to walk upon my high places.” That is, you want a supernatural change of story, “Rejoice in the Lord and again I say,” What “Rejoice.” “In everything, give thanks, for this is the will of God concerning you.” “After you have done the will of God, you obtain the promise.”
Turnaround brings a demand on you and me today. Church Gist. Because the Bible says, “At that time, Jesus rejoiced in spirit,” Luke 10:21.
* May the joy of the Lord that triggers turnaround come upon each one afresh through this communion today!
Luke 10:21, it said, “And in that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, ‘I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven.”
You are partaking of the communion today. The joy of Christ. Joy from within. “He rejoices in spirit.” Not just smiling. God bless you, brother. God bless you. Church Gist. Joy in the spirit. Real joy. Not emotional joy. Heart-rooted joy that makes you look like m@d. That’s how to see your situation turn around.
There are three kings came against them, Judah, under Jehoshaphat. And God said, “You don’t need to fight. Just sing me on. I’ll take care.” “And as they began to sing and to praise, God set ambûshment against the enem!es and they were all sm!tten.” Church Gist. That’s how much turnaround power is in joy and rejoicing. Turnaround power is embedded in joy and rejoicing. Turnaround power is domiciled in joy and rejoicing.
This is a church of selfless servants of God in all departments. But in 1977, 49 years ago, the Lord showed me from Deuteronomy 28 verse 47 and 48 something very sc@ry. Church Gist. He said, “Because thou servest not the Lord thy God with joyfulness and gladness of heart for the abundance of all things, therefore shall thou serve thy enem!es which the Lord shall send against you in hûnger, in th!rst, in nak3dness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a y0ke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed you.”
Serving God with joyfulness and gladness of heart is the only way to be fruitful in your stewardship. That’s the only way to provoke rewards for your stewardship. Serving God with joyfulness and gladness of heart as a lifestyle. Church Gist. Joyfulness and gladness of heart, not of face, not of tongue. That’s a secret of turnaround that many have not found. Please, lay hold on it.
You may stê@l my thing; you can’t steal my joy. It’s inside. Can anybody steal your heart? No, it’s inside. From the day of four people to five people, I’ve been smiling like this. Ten people, smiling. Church Gist. Eleven people, jumping. Twenty people, dancing. Don’t watch your life stagnâted. Engage the turnaround power of the Word, among which, the demand to sing and sing aloud and rejoice from the heart. Can I hear your Amen?
We must have to take covenant responsibility both to access and take delivery of our heritage. Church Gist. You take the responsibility to access the Word and to put it to work for the turnaround you desire to be established. Amen.
As we keep walking in the light, the powers of darkness cannot stop us from taking delivery, no.
Let me say this here, every soul winner is entitled to favor from God. Favor is the lot of every soul winner. Luke 22:35. When I sent you without a purse or script or shoes, lacking anything, they said nothing. Yet they took nothing along when they were going, and they lacked nothing as they went. Favour is the portion of every genuine fruitful soul-winner. Church Gist. You don’t run out of favour-winning souls. You’re touching the heart of God and you are provoking and entreating His favour. Every truthful tither, every consistent tither enjoys financial fortune naturally. They don’t organize it, they don’t program it. It’s just their lot. As it has been for many in this church, including I, this your short father.
I’m blessed, I’m blessed, and I say it openly anywhere, neatly blessed, no games. This is somebody that you come to and give something, I will ask you “what do you do?” I’ll ask you what you do for a living. Church Gist. Somebody came to me one time. He said he wanted to do something and he brought a seed for me. I said, no, they don’t use seed to hear from God. Carry your seed. Life is so interesting. If you won’t walk in the light, it won’t add value. You won’t walk in the light, it will not add value.
They go from strength to strength. Every one of them appears in Zion before the Lord. Don’t make your church going once a week as if you are going to a club. Let fellowship become part of your agenda. Enjoy it as I have over the years. And you are going from strength to strength. Last time I stood here for about three hours, didn’t I? During the liberation. It was the liberation service so I was liberated. It was because of you we closed. As for me, I was ready. I still had two more slides to do that day. Church Gist. But when I looked at you, I said, “Look, I don’t want to be stoned.” You better wake up, and I’ve been doing this all these years. You don’t go to fellowship, you go from weakness to weakness. We are not just meeting one another, we are meeting with the Father, meeting with the Son, in the midst of innumerable company of angels, we are connecting with strength.
· Somebody is blessed. Your turn around is now. Your turn around is now. And it’s taking place today. As you partake of this communion, everything complaining and murmuring you will be flushed out. You will sing a new song.
Do you truly desire a turnaround? Do you truly desire a turnaround? Are you sure you do? Psalm 34:10. That word ‘seek’ means serve. They that serve the Lord shall not want any good thing. That’s how-to live-in turnaround world. It’s not once in a while. Church Gist. Things are always turning and turning always in your favor as you commit yourself to serving God. Lions and the young lions will be suffering hunger, but you will not know want.
Matthew 6:33 our popular scripture here, “But seek your first the interest of the kingdom of God in all righteousness, and all these things that others are dying to get shall be added to you again and again, again and forever. Church Gist. That is how to live in a turnaround world not turn around in a while. But you are entering now, sing your way out. Let go of murmuring and complaining. But to live in a turnaround world like your church is living in now, just stay dedicated to God and the interest of His kingdom.
No devil can stop you from a turnaround experience as a lifestyle. Before the people stop talking about one, another one has taken place. You know that’s the story of this church. Church Gist. That’s our story. Before you come out of one, another one has happened. And good things. From now, only good things will be happening.
Secondly and finally, stay in love with God and continue to prove that you do. For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God. Stay in love with God with proof. Jesus got to where Lazarus was, and He wept, and they said, “how He loved him.” Love is in His nature.
· As we partake of this communion today, May the love order of Christ be infused into us.
Oh, how He loved him! Jesus is the love of God made manifest on the earth and we are partaking of His flesh and of His blood. And the life of the flesh is in the blood.
· As we partake of this blood today, may the love of Christ come alive in you afresh.
Thank you, Jesus! Well today, what you do not expect, you cannot experience. Therefore, expect the following from the communion table today:
· Expect an eye-opening miracle to assess revelation for your desired supernatural turn around. Luke 24:30-31.
· Expect to partake of divine nature that will establish your dominion over all the powers of darkness. As you partake of this communion, you partake of the divine nature. When Jesus appeared anywhere, demons were screaming. Wherever you appear, powers of darkness will be screaming. John 6:57.
· Now finally, expect this communion to be a toast to your strength, health and longevity.
Everyone partaking of this communion today, no devil will cut short your life. Every terminal disease shall be flushed out. You will testify. The health of everyone in service today shall be fully restored in Jesus’ precious name. Give the Lord a big hand of praise.
