THIS COMMISSION HAS BEEN A PARTAKER OF THE MARVELS OF GOD TO THE POINT THAT THE COMMISSION HAS BECOME A MARVEL TO THE WORLD.
FOR OUR GRATITUDE TO BE EFFECTIVE, OUR GRATITUDE MUST BE SPECIFIC.
EVERY INCREASE IN THE COMMISSION HAS BEEN THE PRODUCT OF THE INCREASE OF THE WORD.
WHEREEVER YOU FIND HEALINGS, WHEREVER YOU FIND DELIVERANCES, IT IS THE PRODUCT OF THE SENT WORD.
WHATEVER HAS RESPONDED TO US AS A COMMISSION WAS RESPONDING TO THE ONE THAT IS THE SENDER.
THERE IS NOTHING THAT CHANGES IN THE LIFE OF A MAN WITHOUT A WORD SENT FROM GOD.
REVELATION BRINGS TRANSFORMATION BUT REVELATION CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED BY GOD RELEASING THE WORD.

Will you lift your hands to Heaven and let’s give glory to God this morning. Let us give Him thanks and appreciate Him particularly for the testimonies we have heard, God has continued to validate and re-validate the mandate with testimonies. Church Gist. This morning again are evidences, let’s give God the glory. God humiliating paralysis and giving breakthroughs to His people. Let us give God thanks, let us give Him praise, let us give Him glory, let’s give Him honour, let’s give the adoration unto Him this morning and let us celebrate the faithfulness of our God, He is worthy of praise, He is worthy of glory, He is worthy of honour. Why not thank Him also for the answers He has continuously given to our prayers, that every time we call on Him, He hears us, every time He hears us, He answers us. Father, we say thank You! Blessed be Your holy name and now begin to ask the LORD to speak to you this morning, LORD, I have come here to hear Your voice, to receive Your Word, to encounter Your light, speak directly to me today, by Your Word, let Your Word transform me, let Your Word change me, let Your Word turn me around. Thank You mighty God in Jesus precious name we have prayed.
Our Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You today for this opportunity You have given to us to stand in Your presence, thank You for the testimonies of Your hand at work in our midst, we give all the praise and glory to You and LORD, this morning our eyes are fixed upon You, asking that You will send us Your Word again. By Your Word, let every one of our lives be transformed. We give You all the praise and we give You all the glory in Jesus precious name we have prayed. Church Gist. Praise the LORD, I am finally on the Covenant Highways of life. Congratulations, Amen and Amen.
Our line of exhortation which we began looking at yesterday for our Covenant Hour of Prayer is captioned “WHY ARE WE GIVING THANKS TO GOD AS A COMMISSION THIS WEEK?”
From scriptures, it is clear that we are commanded to give thanks both in all things and for all things. We heard that yesterday. 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Ephesians 5:20. As a commission, there is no doubt that we owe God thanks for His marvellous works in our midst over the years. This commission has been a partaker of the marvels of God to the point that the commission has become a marvel to the world. Job 9:10. That has been our experience. It has been wonders upon wonders, marvellous things upon marvellous things, from inception till date. This is why we owe God gratitude but for our gratitude to be effective, our gratitude must be specific. Church Gist. So in specific terms, what are we giving God thanks for and this morning we are going to be looking at one of the specific blessings that we have enjoyed ceaselessly in this commission and that is for:
1. The continuous rain of the Word of eternal life over the past 42 years. John 6:68. Where will we go? We can’t go anywhere else because there is something available with you so they kept following Jesus because of the Word of eternal life. This commission has enjoyed followership because of the Word of eternal life and the Word has been on the increase. Acts 6:7. The Word has been on the increase from inception, in Ilorin the Word began to go forth, in Kaduna, the Word began to increase, in Lagos, the Word began to increase and from Lagos to the nations of Africa, the Word began to increase and from Canaanland to the nations of the world, the Word began to increase and it has not ceased increasing till now. Every increase in the commission has been the product of the increase of the Word. Church Gist. There is no where the sheep will lie down without pasture that is available. So, what has made the sheep lie down across the various assemblies, across the nations of the world has been the abundance of the Word and who is the giver of the Word? The LORD gave the Word and great was the company that published it. So, everywhere across the globe, the Word has been growing and growing and growing and growing everywhere in various nations! How is it that the same Word being preached in Canaanland is being received in far nations of the earth, in Asia, in America and it is relevant everywhere. It’s the growth of the Word. The giver of the Word has not stopped raining the Word and the Word has kept increasing His church.
It important for us to understand a few things about the sent Word this morning.
1. It is the sent Word that heals and delivers. Wherever you find healings, wherever you find deliverances, it is the product of the sent Word. Psalms 107:20. Think about the catalogue of the testimonies of healings, catalogue of testimonies of deliverances, all of them instigated by the Word and who is He that gave the Word? God gave the Word! Church Gist. There is no Word that any demon of sickness, any demon of disease will hear except it came from God. Matthew 8:16. So, it is His Word that cast out all of these spirits of sickness, disease and torments, His Word! Luke 10:16. So, whatever has responded to us as a commission was responding to the One that is the sender. He that heareth you heareth me! Look at the testimony we just heard this morning, that brother was on the bed paralysed and he requested “Bring the picture of His servant [Bishop David Oyedepo] and He said if it is the God of this man that I am serving then I must be set free.” If it is the God of this man that I am serving, the one who has been speaking through him to me, then I must be set free and by the understanding of the fact that whatever has come through His servant has come from the sender, he jumped out of that box totally made whole. You know, no paralysed man can jump so it means that the Word empowered him and set him free from the bondage of paralysis. Church Gist. The legs that could not walk were triggered into action, the hands that could not move triggered into action at the instance of His Word. The Word that He sent is the Word that heals!!! So, it’s the sent Word that heals and delivers. The sent Word is the Word that heals and delivers and we keep seeing it day after day, every season, we keep seeing manifestations of the healing Word. Just at the Liberation service that we had on Monday, we saw all manner of healings taking place, all manner of deliverances taking place at the instance of the Word. I can’t forget, I think it was Shiloh 2014, how that in the teaching that day, it was a Word on prosperity and right after it, God’s servant began to call forth everyone who is touched and healed and a woman stood up and began to run to the front and as she was running, somebody was running behind her with a wheelchair. She had come on wheelchair from one of the francophone countries, they could not tell who was inside the chair because she did not look like somebody that has ever been in a chair. She was running not walking, the one who was with the chair was running after her, trying to catch up with the person who was paralysed before, for six years she has been in that condition but even a sent Word on prosperity brought healing that day. He sent the Word! Will somebody say “Thank You Jesus” this morning. Say it louder “Thank You Jesus!”
2. It is the sent Word that transforms lives. Romans 12:2.
It is the sent Word that transforms lives. Ezekiel 2:2. There is nothing that changes in the life of a man without a Word sent from God. There is nothing! Lamentations 3:37. There is nothing that changes in the life of a man without a Word sent from God. Church Gist. Please, let us recognise this morning, that yes it is true that revelation brings transformation but revelation can only be accessed by God releasing the Word. Deuteronomy 29:29. So, every transformation that you and I have seen since we came into this commission… How many of us have experienced change of story since we came? Every transformation has come by the Word that God has sent, so it is the sent Word that transforms and that’s why we are giving thanks unto God all through this week.
In conclusion, we are thanking God so as to perfect His blessings, it means that the more we keep thanking Him, the greater the concentration of the Word we will continue to receive. The blessings will keep being perfected, like we heard during this personal supplication session. The blessing will keep being perfected. When that one man returned with a loud voice, he returned with a perfected blessing. Church Gist. Each one of us will keep experiencing greater perfection of the Word in our lives in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ. Somebody believe it, say a loud Amen.
Will you stand on your feet with me this morning, lift your hand before the LORD “Father, thank You for the Word You have continued to send, the Word of transformation. It has continued to flow, it has continued to come, it has continued to fall, it has continued to flow in this commission, never ceasing any day at any time.” Church Gist. Father, thank You, blessed be your holy name in the precious name of the LORD Jesus Christ. Somebody believe, say a loud Amen! Let’s give Jesus a big-big hand of praise as God’s servant comes to bless us.
