WE HAVE TOO MANY CRYING BABIES IN THE BODY OF CHRIST TODAY – THAT DOES NOT FLY!

HE IS NOT A PROMISE KEEPING GOD, HE IS A COVENANT KEEPING GOD

WE BELONG TO A COVENANT RULED KINGDOM. HOW MUCH WE ENGAGE WITH DETERMINES THE COMMAND WE GAIN OVER THE AFFAIRS OF LIFE

A DECISION, DETERMINATION, MAY NOT STAND THE TEST OF TIME; BUT A COVENANT ESTABLISHES ANYONE’S STAND

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO TURN GOD’S PROMISES TO REALITIES ARE THE CONDITIONS ATTACHED

IT IS WALKING IN THE LIGHT RECEIVED THAT ADDS VALUE NOT JUST HAVING THE LIGHT

YOUR ENCOUNTERS WITH HIS WORD MAKES TONIGHT A COVENANT WONDER NIGHT INDEED

GOD SAID TO ME: MY PROSPERITY PLAN IS NOT A PROMISE; IT DOESN’T ANSWER TO PRAYERS AND FASTING. IT IS A COVENANT.

WITHOUT BEING RICH TOWARDS GOD, YOU CAN’T ACCESS SUPERNATURAL WEALTH

THERE IS NO MATURED SHEEP THAT WILL NOT REQUIRE FOOD. FIND YOUR WAY TO CHURCH, BE IN FELLOWSHIP!

A WORD FROM GOD CAN OPEN UP NEW CHAPTERS TO YOUR LIFE. YOU GO FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH IN FELLOWSHIP

IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN PRAYER AND FASTING, YOU ARE NOT A CANDIDATE FOR EMPOWERMENT!

BEING IN LOVE WITH GOD MAKES A LIVING WONDER. NO ONE EVER LOVES GOD IN TRUTH AND IN DEED AT A LOSS

IGNORANCE OF THE COVENANT WILL GET ANYBODY TORMENTED

  • Bishop David Oyedepo on ”WONDERS OF BIBLICAL COVENANTS.” || Covenant Wonder Night || Faith Tabernacle Canaanland Ota || 27th January, 2023

One prayer to pray tonight is Psalm 119:18. Church Gist. What will make this night a Covenant wonder night indeed are your encounters with his Word.

  • Lord, open thou my eyes that I may catch wondrous things out of thy law.

I caught a Word 1970, “God is not slow” and I was endued with the grace of patience – a necessary companion of faith. Church Gist. One encounter can speak to your destiny in unforgettable manner.

—PRAYERS—

We are going to be having inoculations of the word tonight – spiritual vaccinations. It will be in packs of little and little to ensure it sinks in to help each one make the most of it. Church Gist. Tonight we start with part 1, “WONDERS OF BIBLICAL COVENANTS.” That’s unravelling the wonders of biblical Covenant.

Please note: the Bible is a book of covenants which unveils God’s provision for his people and the conditions required to take delivery for whosoever is interested. We call the Bible, the Old and New Testament, the word Testament and Covenant are the same – Old and New Covenant both ratified into one by the blood of Jesus. Church Gist. Matthew 5:17. So we call his blood the blood of the everlasting covenant. The 2 covenants were ratified into one by the blood of Jesus. So when you sight any provision in the Old Testament and you locate the conditions thereof and align with it, it delivers for a testimony. In those early days, we were very busy claiming promises. He is not a promise keeping God, He is a covenant keeping God. So we claimed and claimed and claimed and it didn’t arrive because what is required to turn those provisions to realities are the conditions attached and when they are complied with, they are released without any pressure. Church Gist. As long as your power charge is still on, you turn your light on in your room, it must come up. When the charge is off, it won’t come.

While the altar of prayer is a covenant platform for outbreak of light, it is walking in that light that adds value not just having the light. Isaiah 58:6-10. So no matter how much bright light we encounter, how much we commit to walking in it is what determines how much value it will ever add to us. Church Gist. Wonders of Biblical Covenant! Entering into a Covenant with every light caught from Scriptures is what makes it work. A decision may not stand the test of time, a determination may fail under pressure, but a covenant establishes anyone’s stand any day. A covenant controls our thoughts, words and actions. Psalm 50:5-6. When you enter into covenant with God in truth and in deed, God shows up to back you up, engrace you for delivery and make known his integrity in our lives. Church Gist. According to Scriptures, those who know the covenants of their God and engage with them shall be strong and shall do exploits. Daniel 11:32.

We have too many crying babies in the body of Christ today, “O God hear me now! O God are you sleeping? Where are you now? Don’t you see me?” That doesn’t fly. Galatians 4:1-2. Church Gist. Jesus came as a babe, he grew to become an adolescent and then, a son and then, a son with authority. “My beloved son …” (Luke 3) “My beloved son hear ye him …” (Luke 9). It’s one thing to grow in it, it’s another thing to qualify for conferment of authority. Daniel 11:32.

We belong to a covenant ruled kingdom and how much of the covenant of Scriptures we engage with will determine how much command we gain over the affairs of life. For example:

  1. One cannot engage with the covenant of empowerment and be assaulted by the powers of darkness – wicked forces from hell. Church Gist. Church Gist. When you’re empowered, you thread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you. But you don’t see that you won’t be empowered. Psalm 63:1-3. There is a thirsting of the soul and a longing of the flesh that leads to empowerment. You’re not interested in Prayer and Fasting, forget it you’re not a candidate! Isaiah 58:6. So you want power? Let your thirst come alive in a lifestyle of Prayer and Fasting. Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit from his 40 days fasting episode. Luke 4:14. So it’s not just about getting things, it’s to gain command over things. Church Gist. You gain command over things through the platform or the covenant of prayer and fasting. That puts you on top of the forces of the wicked.
  2. One cannot engage with the covenant of prosperity and be tormented by lack and want – the background of the individual not withstanding, the country or community where he lives not withstanding. Church Gist. You can’t engage with the covenant of prosperity and be assaulted with demons of poverty – whatever they call them. It’s impossible! Wherever the sun shines, that Covenant works. Jeremiah 33:20. Don’t say, “you don’t know my situation.” No, I know you’re under the assault of ignorance. Ignorance of the covenant will get anybody tormented. You can’t engage with the covenant of prosperity and be assaulted by the prevailing economic forces around your life. Deuteronomy 8:18.

The Lord said to me March 22, 1982 while asking him, “show me the secret of kingdom prosperity.” I’ve said that several times, I can’t forget forever. He said, “my son David, (from this scripture) my prosperity plan is not a promise; it doesn’t answer to prayers. It’s not a promise, it has no respect for fasting. Church Gist. My prosperity plan is a covenant. Until your part is played, I am not committed.” There is nothing mystical about covenant; it’s all about understanding the provisions and subscribing to the conditions then you have cut a covenant with God.

Without giving as a lifestyle, prosperity is not in view. Without being rich towards God, you can’t access supernatural wealth. Not flamboyancy all around town, riches towards God. Luke 12:21. Being rich towards God is what connects us to heavenly order of wealth. Jumping at every kingdom Advancement opportunities with every thing inside you. Church Gist. Many have done it here and are flowing in it. Several others are joining right now in the name of Jesus. So your business, life is not down because of the prevailing economic conditions, they may never improve. Biblical prophecies show us that these are just the beginning so you better take cover under the covenant to make the most of your life. Job 22:21-27.

  1. One cannot engage with the covenant of fellowship and not continue to grow from strength to strength. There is no matured sheep that will not require food. Matthew 4:4. Can you imagine that you must have to plant every thing you eat? You may die before they grow. You have to plant tomatoes, yam, banana, My God! So you have restaurants where those things are served, you have markets where they are sold. Church Gist. Wisdom shows that you go to the market and buy. Can you imagine trying to drive a car after you have manufactured one, you may never drive one till you die. You do your business, out of your profit, buy from those who sell. Find your way to Church, be in fellowship. A word from God can open up new chapters to your life. You go from strength to strength in fellowship. You’re not there? You go from weakness to weakness until out. Psalm 84:7.
  2. There are no 2 ways about this: one cannot engage with the covenant of stewardship and not continue to enjoy favour all the way. Church Gist. Psalm 35:27. He takes pleasure in our affairs when we take pleasure in his kingdom. Psalm 102:13-15.
  • Fearful favour, that’s what you’re entering into this year!
The covenant of stewardship entitles believers to fearful order of favour. Breaking news order of favour. Church Gist. That’s where you’re entering into this year!

Matthew 6:33. Sit down Christians don’t go far. May the days of struggle of every one come to an end.

  1. One cannot be engaged with the covenant of love without experiencing things that eyes have not seen, nor ears heard as a lifestyle. 1 Corinthians 2:9. Being in love with God makes a living wonder. You can’t love God and not know Sir! Church Gist. You can’t love Him and he will not know. Psalm 89:20. You love him, he will find you. He will find you and decorate you. No one ever loves this God in truth and in deed at a loss. You don’t love God at a loss. John 14:21. It’s your turn.

Please don’t just stop at catching the light from Scriptures; cut a covenant with God on the light caught and watch the wonders he will make out of your life.

Prayers

Now very quickly please listen to me: a good man leaveth an inheritance for his children’s children. God’s provisions are the exclusive preserve of his children. Acts 20:32. Church Gist. Only those who are saved have any inheritance with God. Proverbs 13:22. Only us who are redeemed have access to an inheritance in our father God.

Altar call

The purpose of the prayer and fasting covenant is to empower, enlighten and to illuminate. Church Gist. Our spiritual positioning is what determines our over all well being in the kingdom.
