5th May 1991: The third Model Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was established in Apapa, Lagos by Pastor Tony Rapu with a team of 50 new converts.

5th May 1982:    Kenneth Copeland Ministries plants her African office in South Africa. It was officially registered in South Africa as an extended company of Kenneth Copeland Ministries. In 1985 the office was closed due to sanctions that were imposed against all South African companies, by the USA government because of Apartheid. After the sanctions were lifted, the offices re-opened in Randburg, Johannesburg in November 1989 with 6 staff members.

5 May, 1525: Frederick III, the elector of Saxony also called “Frederick the Wise” goes to be with the Lord. Frederick protected Martin Luther after the Diet of Worms condemned the Reformer.

5 May, 1813:  Soren Kierkegaard, a Christian existentialist is born in Copenhagen. He was a Danish theologian, philosopher, poet, social critic, and religious author who is widely considered to be the first existentialist philosopher.

5th May 1816: The American Bible Society (ABS) organizes in New York to distribute the Bible throughout the World. The Organization has distributed hundreds of millions of Bibles in thousands of languages worldwide.
