YOU ARE ALWAYS JOYFUL WHEN YOU COME AROUND KENNETH COPELAND AND PAPA OYEDEPO.

THERE’S NO DULL MOMENT WHEN YOU HANG AROUND PEOPLE OF THE WORD.

WE LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE PEOPLE WILL MAKE YOU LOOK STUPID FOR GOING TO CHURCH.

THERE’S A RELENTLESS ATTACK ON FAITH AND THAT’S WHY, WE NEED TO CONTINUOUSLY CHARGE OUR FAITH WITH GOD’s WORD.

SMITH WIGGLESWORTH ONCE SAID ‘DON’T TRY TO GET READY, LIVE READY.’

THERE ARE MANY CHRISTIANS TODAY WHO DON’T PREPARE FOR THE CONFRONTATIONS OF LIFE.

WHEN YOU SEE A PATTERN IN YOUR FAMILY, DON’T WAIT FOR IT TO REACH YOU. CHARGE YOUR FAITH TO SEND IT BACK TO hell.

THAT YOU HAVE BEEN IN CHURCH FOR 20 YEARS DOES NOT DELIVER YOUR INHERITANCE TO YOU.

IT IS FAITH THAT DELIVERS YOUR INHERITANCE.

FAITH IS NOT NEGOTIABLE IF YOU MUST PREVAIL IN LIFE.

WHEN YOUR FAITH IS CHARGED, YOU ARE EQUAL TO ANY EMERGENCY THAT MAY COME YOUR WAY.

WE LIVE IN A DEPRESSED WORLD AND IF YOU ALLOW THIS WORLD TO TENSE YOU UP, IT WILL CUT YOUR LIFE SHORT.

TO KEEP YOUR FAITH CHARGED, CONNECT WITH A STEADY DIET OF THE WORD.

PRAISE GIVES US ACCESS TO GOD’S PRESENCE.

PRAYER IS BARREN WHERE PRAISE IS ABSENT.

  • Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche on “UTILIZING THE WORD – WHAT TO DO WITH THE WORD PT2” || April 2024 Testimonies and Thanksgiving Service || Dunamis International Gospel Centre || Glory Dome, Abuja ||

One more time, I welcome everyone to the presence of the Lord in the name of Jesus! We have had a most exciting week with a ‘very very’ intense Worship and Wonders Night. Church Gist. I am sure that we shall be having such intensity more frequently – very very intense.

We started a subject last Wednesday because of how important it was and because of how intense it was, we couldn’t finish on Wednesday. Church Gist. So we’re continuing today. We have locations joining and you can let them see themselves and let us also see them in the course of the Service.

The subject is “UTILIZING THE WORD – WHAT TO DO WITH THE WORD PT2” Church Gist. We started and our objective actually is just as it is – understanding what to do with the Word of God.

We saw on Wednesday and we have seen throughout the Month; looked at various dimensions of the Word. We saw the necessity of the Word, we saw preservation by the Word, we saw the blessing of the Word of God (and) we saw the profit of the Word of God. We also saw how to access the Word of God. Church Gist. But the question we wanted to ask was and is still, after I have accessed the Word, after I have seen the Word; I got revelation from the Word, what do I do with it? What do I use the Word to achieve? How do I make the Word to profit my life?

We looked at 2 things last Wednesday.

  1. We use the Word to change our mind. You use the Word to change your mind. The Bible said, “we should be transformed by the renewing of our minds.” We realize that our lives are the products of our mind. “As he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Church Gist. We realize that our life’s outcome is a product of our mind. We realize that results are the products of thoughts. We also realize that God responds according as we think. So you use the Word to change your mind.
  2. Use the Word to change your walk. We use the Word to change our walk. Use the Word to change your ways. We use the Word to change our actions and again like we said, action determines outcome. When a person has a change of action, he will have a change of outcome in life. We also said that our actions determine the response of God (God’s response or reaction). Church Gist. What we do determines what God does with us. So we use the Word to change our actions and we said that our steps determine our progress. You don’t change position standing on the same spot. When we take the right steps from the Word, we experience the right progress. We said all of that in the Midweek Service and if you were not in that Midweek Service, you are highly encouraged to pick up the Message of that Midweek Service.

Right now, we are going to go further.

What Else Do I Do With The Word?

  1. (That was what the little first graduate of her family just told us – referring to the testimony of Sister Chinaza) Use the Word to charge your faith. The Word of God is the food of faith. The Word of God is the fuel of faith. Romans 10:8. Church Gist. The Word of God is the Word of faith. So you use the Word to charge your faith. Romans 10:17.

Why Do We Need To Charge Our Faith? Many reasons.
i. We need to charge our faith because we live in a world where faith is under continuous attack. There is a relentless attack on faith. Luke 18:8…because faith will be in short supply. Church Gist. Faith will be scarce. People will make you look stupid for going to Church. They will make you look stupid for believing in God. They will be angry with you.

I remember one time, I sat in an aircraft (from – I think it was from Warri to Abuja or something), I sat with a white man (I’m sorry to directly say it like that – I think an expatriate). We were talking and talking friendly until I mentioned what I do and in fact, I began to say one or two testimonies. He became very angry. ‘Why are you people giving people false hope? Who said that people can be healed?’ Church Gist. For as long as I didn’t mention God or healing or anything, we were good. But the moment the subject changed, he became very aggressive. That is the World we live in. So you need to charge your faith so that you don’t drop your faith because of those who hate faith (those who hate faith which is the same as those who hate God.)

‘When the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the Earth?’ Church Gist. Luke 22:31-32. Someone say, a loud Amen. So there’s a relentless attack on faith and for that purpose, we need to charge our faith.

ii. We need to charge our faith to handle the daily challenges of life. We need to charge our faith. Ephesians 6:10-16. Somebody say, Amen! Church Gist. We live in a world of flying arrows and it takes the shield of faith to fence it back to senders. Hallelujah! We need to charge our faith and there are 2 dimensions of this.

a. You need to be charged to be ready. You don’t carry umbrella at the sight of rain, you hold it ready because, in case rain will fall. You don’t build your roof…I heard something that happened in Egypt some years ago. For about 50 years or so, they had never experienced rain, irrigation and all of that. So, they didn’t make provision for drainage and all of that because rain was not normal and roof also, was just any roof. Church Gist. So all of a sudden, it rained and it rained massively and it was a wreckage because they didn’t prepare for it. There are many Christians who don’t prepare for the confrontations of life. No! When the disciples said to Jesus, why could we not cast out this devil? You remember? Matthew 17:21. He’s not saying that if you see a devil, go and fast and pray before you come back to cast it. No! You fasted ready. You prayed ready. You came with your faith ready. Am I communicating at all? So, that’s the first dimension where you are ready before you came.

b) Then there’s a dimension where, what came, it looks like you were not ready for it. So you charge up your faith with the Word. Church Gist. Take up the shield of faith means go and look for revelation that can fence this out. So faith is takeable. Somebody say, a loud Amen!

  • Lift your right hand and say, I will charge my faith against the challenges of life. I will charge my faith.

What is the meaning of that? If you know that premature death is taking people from your family, you don’t wait for the premature death to reach you. You charge your faith. Hallelujah! When you see a pattern in your family, you don’t wait for it to reach you. Church Gist. You charge your faith to send it back to hell. When you see a pattern in your workplace, you don’t wait for it to reach you. You charge your faith to deal with it.

  • Today, I speak prophetically to somebody. The calamity of others in your family will never be your calamity!
  • What people are facing in your workplace will never be your portion! If you are saying Amen, shout the loudest Amen!

Praise the Lord! I was listening to a message this morning before I came that has nothing to do with this Service. I am just charging myself (Message that myself preached.) The sleepiness of that woman just reminded me of something I said in the Message before I came. It was in the Healing and Deliverance Service in Area One and I was standing and the person was sleeping in front of me. Church Gist. I said, “didn’t you sleep last night? What’s happening?” Many of you give pastors a lot of problems. You are refusing to hear the Word and you want deliverance because ‘He sent forth His Word and healed them and delivered them.’ Hallelujah!

  • Somebody say, I charge my faith!

It was Smith Wigglesworth who said, don’t try to get ready, live ready. I told you a story before. I was walking and all of a sudden, I felt an arrow. I retrieved that arrow and refired it back to hell. My wife and children ran. Church Gist. ‘What’s happening with Daddy?’ I said, ‘I am fighting.’ You know that set of arrows has hit people before and they went on their knees – they slumped, they never rose. Not one, not 2, not 3, not 4. Somebody say a loud, Amen!

Somebody said, he went inside an exam hall (it was Papa Oyedepo I heard it from – I don’t know whether it was himself or somebody else); went into an exam hall fully prepared (and) all of a sudden as if a spell came on him – he went blank on the spot inside the exam hall. Church Gist. He made immediate demands, faith came alive – the outcome was victory, success (and) distinction.

  • Look at your neighbour and say, don’t leave your faith uncharged.

When a phone is not charged, how do you make a call? There are many things that are not charged so you are stranded. Don’t leave your faith uncharged. Don’t even wait to charge it because problems arose. There are times where you do that but maintain a charged faith. I heard from somebody how that people came with weapons to attack him. Church Gist. They said “we came for you.” He said “it’s not for me you came, you came for each other. You can start with yourself” and that’s it. That is, you didn’t prepare to say it. Out of the abundance of your system, it just flowed.

“So we are just about to die like this” – a woman was talking to her friend inside a plane between China and Dubai if you heard the story I told some time ago. Church Gist. So this is how we are about to die and this woman who had been given a prophetic word here that somebody who is going to travel this week Friday to the far Eastern areas of around China, you will go and come back. And the woman came and I said, ‘see you when you come back.’

While they were on that journey, the plane lost control and was dropping down at the speed of light – dropped like 10,000 feet under 5 minutes or something. The pilot said, well he’s not in touch with anything. They should get ready or whatever and this woman said, we are going to die like this. Church Gist. And this woman reacted, ‘if you are going to die, I am not about to die.’ My Pastor told me “see you when you come back” and he will see me because I will come back. And she began to blast in tongues. Long story made short, in a short while, that thing stabilized.

  • I announce to someone here this morning, you will not die like chicken!
  • Where blood is wasted, your blood shall not be wasted in the name of Jesus!
  • Look at your neighbour and say, keep your faith charged because you may need your faith where you never expected you need it. Somebody say, Amen!

Why Do We Need Faith?
iii. Because life is at risk where faith is challenged. Life is at risk. You can’t guarantee life if faith is out of place. Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38. Church Gist. The just lives by faith, the meaning is the just can die without faith. He is just, he is spiritual, he is holy but without faith, he could be cut short before his time. Somebody say, a loud Amen! Say, I will fulfill my days, I will live because my faith remains charged.

I told you a story before where a green eyed devil was giving himself a deadline in the dream. It was going to be before a major convention and gave himself the time that around so and so time. I woke up, I didn’t pray about it. I didn’t even tell my wife. It’s a matter of ‘devil, I dare you – try it.’ Church Gist. When the time has come and the time has passed…truly before that time, there were some feelings of abnormal, unnormal confrontation but the time came, the time passed then I let my wife know about it. That kind of thing is what people see and they are gone.

One of the young ladies in this Church, a pilot, dreamt one night (not a dream) saw herself one night trying to wake up and she could not wake up. All of a sudden, she saw that she was lying down but she was seeing her body lying down. She said that was how her elder brother died – slept and couldn’t wake up. She tried to enter her body (but) she couldn’t. Church Gist. Then she began to sing and in that realm, she was determined that she was not going to die. While she was singing ‘you are always there for me’ in that realm and determined (made up her mind) and all of a sudden, the mantle of the Commission appeared. Said, ‘you cannot have her.’ She entered back (into) her body. She came with her father and mother and family. This was how their elder brother died, another one and all manner of confrontation.

  • You will fulfill your days!
  • Lift your right hand and say, I shall not die like chicken. I shall fulfill my days!

iv. Because our inheritance in God is accessible by faith. Anything that belongs to you in God, it is by faith that you take them. Our inheritance in God is accessible by faith. Hebrews 6:12. What God has promised you, you take them by faith. in God, you don’t just get what you deserve, you get what you discover. You get what you determine. Deuteronomy 29:29. I am a member of the Church does not deliver to you what is yours. I have been in Church for 20 years does not deliver to you what is yours. So you charge your faith to take delivery of your inheritance.

Let me tell you how an inheritance can belong to you and yet does not enter your hand. One man had 2 sons. We call one the prodigal Son and the other one, the elder Brother. The prodigal Son had a quality that the senior Brother did not have and the elder Brother had a quality that the prodigal Son did not have. I wish it was merged together in one person. The prodigal Son (the younger Brother) knew his right. He knew what was his. He said “Father, give me the portion of inheritance that falleth to me.” Church Gist. The Father gave him and then his major problem erupted. He left the Father, disconnected from the Father and then entered into characterless living; squandered his money in riotous living and came into want. He came to his senses and returned home. His Father received him with celebration. The elder Brother heard and got angry. ‘What’s going on?’ They said ‘your brother that wasted your father’s money came and he has now…(let me avoid the use of that word) and he is now being celebrated.

The Boy said, what? ‘All these years, I have been here, my father has not given me even the baby of a goat to enjoy with my friends and this Boy that wasted his money is the One they are celebrating now.’ He got angry and the Father said, it is not my fault that all the properties I have, you don’t have because everything I have is yours. Church Gist. Your problem was lack of insight. Your problem was lack of light. Your problem was lack of revelation. You cannot get possession where there is no revelation. This was an elder Brother that had character without faith. This was a younger brother that had faith without character. What we need is the marriage of the 2. Have faith and have character. Have faith and have (a) relationship with God. Have faith and don’t let anything separate you and God. I just said that to say to you ‘it is possible to be a good boy and yet be in poverty and lack.’ It is possible. It is possible to have been in Church for a long time and yet you are wondering why things have not happened for you.

You access the things that are yours in God not by just being good. Being good is very normal. Being good and being holy will cause you to make Heaven at all costs. Church Gist. But in order to prevail on Earth, to triumph on Earth, to take charge of the things that are yours on Earth, faith is not negotiable. Somebody say, a loud Amen!

  • Lift your right hand and say, “in the name of Jesus, I will use the Word to charge my faith. I will use the Word of God to charge my faith.” Church Gist. Shout the loudest Amen! Say, I will use the Word of God to charge my faith.

v. We need to charge our faith because our outcome in life is according to our faith. Your outcome in life is according to your faith (how things turn out, how your life turns out eventually). Church Gist. Matthew 9:29. It is unto every man not according to the Church they attend, not according to how long they have been in Church. It is unto every man according to their faith.

I heard some time ago that if it is going to be, it is up to me. Whatever is going to be is up to me. If it is going to be, it is up to me (you can put it down). If it is going to be, it is up to you. It is unto you according to your faith. Blind Bartimaeus sat (and) Jesus passed him until he cried. Even when he cried, Jesus said, “what do you want me to do for you?” Church Gist. He knew his eyes were obviously blind but He wanted a commitment from the Man. ‘What do you want?’ He said ‘that I might receive my sight’ and his sight was restored. Somebody say, a loud Amen!

  • Lift your right hand and say, Father, I receive the grace to keep my faith charged up. Church Gist. I receive the grace to keep my faith in the charged state in the name of Jesus!
  • You will not be taken by surprise!

One thing that happens to you when your faith is charged is no devil takes you by surprise. Church Gist. No devil takes you unawares. When your faith is charged, you are equal to the emergency; you are equal to the urgency.

What do we use the Word for? We use the Word to charge our faith.

  1. You use the Word to fuel your joy and praise. Why is that important? It is important because we live in a depressed World (very very depressive Word – very depressed than depressive; depressed, depressive, depressing). Psalm 56:4. So the Word of God triggers praise. It triggers praise, it triggers joy. Church Gist. Psalm 56:10. The Word of God triggers praise; triggers joy. Jeremiah 15:16. When you eat the Word, it charges up your joy. Somebody say, a loud Amen!

Psalm 119:162. Listen, my experience showed me that when you hang around people of the Word, you don’t have a dull moment. If you hang around Kenneth Copeland – full of life, full of excitement. Papa Oyedepo – I mean ‘Praise God, Amen!’ You can hear that thing 100 times once you are around him and then he will make you laugh until your rib is cracking. Church Gist. My children encountered him some time ago. They said ‘I can’t believe that the Man can make somebody laugh like this.’ Me and him met in Benin at Mama Idahosa’s (Archbishop Margaret Benson Idahosa) Conference this year and I preached before him. While I was preaching, he landed with helicopter on the ground there. So I was preaching, my wife went to welcome him along with others but I couldn’t leave the pulpit I was preaching. So after I finished preaching and before we came back to Abuja (during the January fast), I went to greet him and we were talking just briefly. And I said ‘I am rushing to Abuja now so that…our program is on (to catch the program). He said, ‘alright, journey mercies and so on.’

When we landed, I rushed to Church – Service had already finished. I couldn’t catch the Service. So after the Service, we spoke. He said, ‘so how was the Service?’ I said, ‘I was not able to meet it.’ Church Gist. He said, ‘good for you. (Laughs) What you were rushing for you couldn’t greet me well.’ (Laughs) Hallelujah! And it comes out effortlessly.

The other day my wife and I were talking. She said, ‘you don’t rehearse these things, it just came like that.’ We were coming from Commanding the Day and it was raining. I told her ‘the sky is crying – shedding a lot of tears (plenty crying, weeping). Church Gist. So she said, ‘why is the sky crying? What is making it to cry?’ I said, “it’s because of pity for the Earth that is dry.” (Laughs) So she said, ‘did you plan for this answer?’ I said ‘no, it’s just natural – it flows.’ Joy flows.

The other day, I was at the dining table – my daughter was there. The dog was looking at me as if I should stop eating and give it what I was eating. So I said, ‘you know, you dog, let me preach you a sermon. Don’t ever try to get things out of pity.’ (Laughs) My daughter started recording on the spot because she couldn’t believe what was going on. Church Gist. I said, “if you need bone prosperity (bone), practice the covenant. (Laughs) If I give you one bone, divide it into 10, give one to your fellow dog. (Laughs) You will realize that you won’t be begging for bones, you won’t be looking at me like this. Bone will look for you.” It was a complete sermon to the dog and it was looking very attentively. (Laughs) Maybe, I will play the clip for you. Hallelujah! That’s the only way to survive the tension of the World. If you allow this World to tense you up, it cuts you short. I can tell you that. It cuts your…people have been cut short because of tension.

  • And I declare and prophesy to you, your life shall not be cut short!
  • You shall fulfill your days!
  • Say after me, I shall fulfill my days!

Very quickly, we use the Word to fuel joy and praise and what is the outcome of this?

Why Is It Necessary To Fuel Your Joy And Your Praise?
i. Praise and joy gives access to God’s presence. If you want to remain in His presence, you need joy and praise to be in place. Psalm 100:1-4. Church Gist. Praise gives us access. You charge your joy, you fuel your joy and your praise with the Word and joy and praise keep you in His presence.

ii. Praise is an expression of faith. Praise is fueled. It is a companion of your faith that produces results. Church Gist. It’s a companion of your faith. Psalm 106:12, Romans 4:20. Hallelujah! Praise is an expression of faith.

iii. Praise is a platform for petition in prayer. It’s a platform. You flow through praise to ask God for things. Matthew 6:9-12. Church Gist. You flow through the platform of praise to go into prayer. Philippians 4:6. You see, prayer is barren where praise is absent. Somebody say, a loud Amen!

In the next Service, we shall be looking at how to use the Word to influence your words (your speech). Church Gist. We are also going to see how to use the Word to inflame your prayer life. We’ll look at that in the Second Service. But this is the counsel:

  1. To keep your faith charged, connect with a steady diet of the Word. Connect! I will personally counsel apart from daily study of the Bible that is daily reading of the Bible, take between 30 minutes to 1 hour segments of preached Word in any area of interest. Church Gist. I was listening to a message yesternight, my daughter said to me, “excuse me Sir, what message is this?” I said, it was a message preached long ago in Area One. If you need it, I can look for it for you because it was so fresh. 30 minutes to one hour preached Word just daily – charging you up.
  2. Irrigate your praise continually with the Word. There is a way in which you are excited when you are in touch with the Word. Irrigate your praise with the Word. Someone say Amen! Church Gist. Someone is blessed today, who is that person? Somebody is blessed today, who is that person? If you are that person, you will jump on your feet with a shout of praise.

Lift your 2 hands and let’s appreciate the King of kings this morning. Appreciate the Lord of lords this morning – worship Him, honour Him, glorify Him. Father, we thank you. Father, we honour you. Father, we adore you. Worship Him, honour Him, adore Him. Church Gist. Blessed be your name. Adoration to your name. Worship to your name in the name that is above every name – Jesus, the resurrected Lord!

  1. So, you use the Word to change your thoughts. (If you were not there on Wednesday, ensure you pick up the Message).
  2. You use the Word to change your ways.
  3. You use the Word to charge your faith.
  4. You use the Word to fuel your joy and your praise.
