-Heavenly Father, we stand before You tonight with deep thanksgiving for all answers to our prayers, for the privilege to appear before You and for the assurance of faith that our story is changing especially on the second day of our Spiritual Week of Emphasis for March 2023. Church Gist. Send us Your Word again, refresh us, enlighten and empower us in Jesus’ wonderful Name, Amen.
Praise the Lord! I’m finally on my Covenant Highways of life. It is my privilege tonight to bring us the Word of the Lord on this second day of our week of Spiritual Emphasis for March 2023 and I don’t take for granted this privilege. Remember our Prophetic theme for this month as declared yesterday is, ‘Biblical Covenant empowers for wealth’. And the anchor Scripture is Deuteronomy 8:18. You can labour to get riches but you can only get power for wealth. Money can buy wealth but only the power of the Covenant can get wealth. Church Gist. And we are entering into the season where money is not available to even buy- I’m sure that many Nigerians understand that. In the natural system, you need money to buy but in the Supernatural with or without money you get. A time came in Egypt that money lost value and after a while there was not even money again yet the children of Israel were eating fat. In the time of famine according to the Scriptures the saints shall be fed.
So we are looking at this Covenant that empowers us for wealth and our teaching series for Midweek Service is, ‘Fundamentals for Kingdom wealth’! As we proceed, I would like to remind us that for us in the Winners family, prosperity is one of the core mandate that God gave His Servant, the Apostle over this Commission on the 26th August, 1987, the Lord said to him when he was far away in America: ‘Get back home and make my people rich’! Talking about you and I. Church Gist. And I’m grateful to God that there are many including myself who are beneficiary of this mandate today. So for us in the Winners family, it is not only a Covenant, it is a mandate! And that is to say that if you belong to this family that poverty is over in your life.
-Bye bye to poverty!
Every member of this family is entitled to wealth and prosperity. We have heard testimonies of people who came to this Church with bathroom slippers who are now estate owners. Church Gist. We have heard testimonies of individuals who were bus conductors who now have international businesses. I know there are several others here tonight whether here at the main or zonal center or watching us online who can testify of that.
-That means that poverty has not only ended in your life but in your lineage. Church Gist. I stand in the authority of this mandate that God gave to His Servant and I declare to everyone under the sound of my voice that ‘Poverty is over in your life’!
FUNDAMENTALS OF KINGDOM WEALTH.
Let us understand first of all from Scriptures that we have a heritage of financial fortune in redemption. What does that mean? Being born again is the translation from poverty to prosperity. Being born again is translation from begging to giving. It is our heritage! And heritage is something you don’t beg for, you meet it upon arrival. Church Gist. It is waiting for you! For instance, if a child is born into a millionaire’s family, he enjoys millions from the day of his birth! But if on the other hand that someone is born into a poor family, well we can only wish him well because he will have poverty ‘plenty’.
Our Father (God) is prosperous so when He gave birth to us He gave birth to us into prosperity. So prosperity is not what we beg for in the Kingdom- It is our heritage as God’s children! Revelation 5:10-12. Jesus already received it for us Hebrews 6:9. This is because it accompanies Salvation. Church Gist. So when you are saved, you are not saved into emptiness, you are saved into prosperity! When God was taking them out of Egypt, He told them they will not go empty, they will leave the house of bondage and enter into plenty Exodus 3:21, 2 Corinthians 8:1.
We were in rags when we were not born again- He came to us, He removed our rags and He gave us His wealthy cloth to wear, He took it away! Redemption means an exchange of position and status. That’s what Jesus came to do! We were in chains and He took us out of the chains, we were in sickness, He took our sickness by the stripes which He was beaten and gave us His health! Church Gist. But the foundation for this subject matter must be built which is the reason why we talk about the fundamentals of Kingdom wealth because no building lasts beyond the foundation.
The strength and lifespan of any building is determined by foundations Psalms 11:3. Building on a faulty foundation will be shown tomorrow. Many in the Church today are looking for the beautiful roof of the building but they don’t bother about the foundation, the wind can blow the roof but you will never see where the wind blows the foundation. The wind can remove blocks but you can never see where the foundation is removed. Once a foundation is built you can rebuild on top of it any other thing that is destroyed. And no foundation builds itself, everyone has to build the foundation! Hebrew 3:4. Proverbs 24:3-5. And what is wisdom? Mathew 7:25 tells us it is hearing the Word and putting it to practice. Wisdom is hearing and doing the Word Hebrew 3:4. Proverbs 24:3-5.
What is wisdom? Matthew 7:25 tells us it is hearing the Word and putting it to practice. Wisdom is hearing and doing the Word. It is the acquisition of knowledge and application of knowledge. You hear it and do it, that is what wisdom is. That is why the subject of prosperity cannot be effected if you are not a practitioner of the covenant requirement. If you look at the story of Job, the depth of the Word he laid upon his heart determined the extent of wealth that he enjoyed. Church Gist. The depth of wealth that you lay in your heart determines the extent of the wealth that you lay upon the earth. Job 22:22,24. You lay up His word in your heart so you can lay up gold as dust. What does that mean? The extent of our wealth is determined by the depth of His Word in our hearts. That is the foundation we are talking about. 3 John 1:2. What determines the prosperity of your soul? The Word of God. Joshua 1:8. Then shall you make your way prosperous and thou shalt have good success. The foundation for our wealth in this Kingdom is the Word.
However the reality of wealth in the Kingdom anchors on the covenant. The peak of relationship with God is the covenant. Abraham started His journey by taking instructions but he ended up by complying with the demands of the covenant. Church Gist. Promises may be broken but covenants cannot be broken. Psalm 89:34. Up till today, what God is remembering Abraham for is the covenant. “The covenant which I made with Abraham”. The covenant is the peak of relationship with God.
So when you enter into the covenant of financial fortune, you just stay on there. It is the auto realm of financial blessing. It is the realm where you don’t make confessions to make things happen. It is the realm where you don’t pray for you to enjoy wealth. We have heard over and over again, our father, God’s servant, keeps saying “I don’t pray for money” yet it has not stopped coming. Do you know how? He stepped into the realm of the covenant. The realm of the covenant is the realm where the two partners cannot forget themselves. Church Gist. It is the realm where on both sides, the two parties know what to do. When you enter into this realm, all you are thinking of is God and all that God is thinking of you is you. It is a realm where you don’t ask for things yet you don’t lack things. Every believer must strive to enter into this realm of the covenant. You don’t pay for things yet you don’t lack things, that will be your experience from now. From this day on, you will not beg for things again. It is the realm where you enjoy additions stresslessly.
Now let’s quickly look at a few facts about the covenant of financial fortune. God’s servant made a statement yesterday that your earning from work or your return from business can never be equal to blessing. We need to hear that very well. You can labour to be rich but you can never labour to be blessed. Proverbs 10:22. If you look at the covenant God made with Abraham, God did not promise Abraham to be rich. Riches was only used in human terms to explain the wealth of Abraham, the much that the human mind can comprehend but God kept talking about blessing. Blessing is superior to riches. Riches can be counted but blessing is never seen by man to be counted.
Riches can be traced but blessings cannot be traced. That is why in the days of Isaac, they were covering the wells but they could not stop his wealth. Church Gist. They were covering the wells because that is what they saw. They thought the wells of water were his sources of blessing. People may attempt to stop your riches but they can’t stop your blessings. People may steal from you but they cannot carry away the source of your blessing. Blessing is the source of everything that you will need in life. That is why at creation, God did not give man riches, He gave man blessings. Genesis 1:28. Blessing is the totality of everything you will ever need for your well-being. What do I mean? If you are rich and you are sick, your riches will be wasted. When you are blessed, the riches are there, your health is secured, the enemy is silenced and he cannot reach you. All of the covenant people who enjoyed wealth in the Bible, they were blessed men. Job was a blessed man, Isaac was a blessed man. That is what the covenant is about.
The covenant is about blessing. It goes beyond riches. Riches are only physical, measurable things. The unseen force that we derive from the covenant is blessing. For that reason, don’t rely on your salary. Thank God for your salary but don’t rely on it. Thank God for the income from your investments but don’t rely on it. That is why scriptures tell us “if riches increase, don’t set your eyes on it” because riches can develop wings and fly away from you. Church Gist. When blessings come on your Tabernacle it remains there. Nobody can fight it because they cannot even see it. Somebody shout “I am blessed”. May the blessings of God at work and upon this ministry come upon your own life.
That is why you discover that over the years people have been fighting against this ministry, they are fighting every day. Where are they getting money from? They can’t tell where we are getting money from. When they can’t explain they give their various descriptions. “They have printing machines” “Do you know why they are working at night? They are working out the reprinting of the money that is why they work unusually”. Church Gist. Different descriptions because they cannot explain it yet they cannot deny it. Don’t rely on the physical money you can see, bank on the blessings that are unseen. Say with me ‘I am connected to blessing’. That is what you will be enjoying endlessly from now.
Number two fact to note about Covenant of financial fortune is that God is all out to empower ‘His people’ for Supernatural wealth in these last days so they can become channels for the release of His silver and gold ordained for the building of the Endtime Church. Church Gist. He will turn us into jewels of abundance of all things when we are prepared in our hearts to serve Him with such resources. Jewels are made available by God in the hands of those who will serve Him with it, not those who will become obsessed with it or those who will be eating it alone Malachi 3:17-18.
This is the reason why wealth in this Kingdom is an entrustment- It’s not an achievement! God is watching what you will do with the wealth he gave you so that He can add more wealth to you Luke 16:11. God will test you with mammon before He will deliver to you the true riches. Church Gist. The good thing about Kingdom wealth is that you can begin from somewhere- You can look for a little child whose school fees are not being paid in the neighbourhood and pay it, you are growing up gradually. In our various zones and every other place that we are privileged to serve, you can make provisions for vehicles to pay for transportation of brethren.
In those days when I’m going to Church as a young teenager. We have three to four brethren that enter the vehicle and they keep telling themselves, ‘Don’t worry, brother David will pay’! Church Gist. And I keep paying and up till now, I am paying! And those who said that brother David is paying and have never paid, up till now they are not able to pay. Start from where you are!
When I had the privilege given by God’s Servant to go and plant a Church way up in Northern Nigeria- Youngly married we had not much to spare. We held the Church Service in the sitting room and after the Church is closed you can’t drag members away, some are not just coming for spiritual food but are coming for physical food. And being that it is the sitting room, there is no way you are going to take the food as the kitchen is just next to the sitting room, so they are watching. So my wife will cook and she can’t cook for only the two of us. Church Gist. You can see people who are seated and are hungry, ‘Won’t you go home? ‘No, we are just sharing a fellowship’. We used to buy rice in mudu then give it to them to eat and when they are going home, my wife will pack some for them to take away. Now by the grace of God, I can’t tell when last I bought a bag of rice in my house, not less than twenty years since I bought a bag of rice, it comes and it goes. You can begin from somewhere.
There are individuals who have grown like that in this Church, some just come and buy decorative material for the altar, some come and change the rug of the altar, some come and they change the stage light in their Zonal centers. Church Gist. Some come and they paint their Zonal centers and we see how God has been changing their levels.
- For somebody here tonight, your level is about to change!
When God was going to build the first Tabernacle after they came out of Egypt, He called His people Exodus 35:4-6. In those days when people wanted to build Churches, they called unbelievers to come and build that’s not of God. Church Gist. God always put it (wealth) in the hands of His people. The wealth of God is within His Church to be utilized by His Church. Everyone can have it but you have to practise your way into it!
-There are individuals here tonight you don’t have a hundred thousand naira to give for the Kingdom, very shortly you will be writing a cheque of hundred million naira.
So God already gave His people because as He took them through from Egypt out of the hands of bondage, He gave them silver and gold and every other thing that is required so that they can use it for the purpose of building His House. What are we saying tonight? Church Gist. God gave you and I the treasures so that we can build His House.
It follows therefore fact number three that our understanding of the purpose of financial fortune in the Kingdom is vital to determining our level of access to the realm of Supernatural prosperity in these last days. Understanding the purpose for wealth is what determines access to the realm of Supernatural prosperity. Why has He given you wealth? Church Gist. If you don’t understand that, you can never see an increase in wealth and that of course must be rooted in your love for God. David had a heart for God and God blessed him with so much of abundance 1 Samuel 13:4, 1 Chronicles 29:3-12. Can you see that? A little shepherd boy grew up to have silver and gold because of his heart for God. That’s the story of those who truly love God and understand the purpose- They always have over and above.
-That will be somebody’s portion from here tonight.
We saw Solomon also. Solomon loved the Lord by giving a thousand burnt sacrifices to God 1 Kings 3:3. And what was the end of Solomon 1 Kings 8:17 and 18.
Now as we begin to round up, what are the demands for guaranteed returns on our seed down? Please note, seeds unsown have no promise of fruits. The fruit of any seed is determined when it goes down to the soil. Until it goes down to the soil, it does not return!
Why do we need power for wealth? There are forces that want to hold you down in lack and want. Zechariah 1:18-21. Whatever holds you down from giving has held you down in lack and want. Church Gist. It takes power. John 10:20.
Until you go, what should come will not come. The Lord said to me, “give me that thing” and I did. “My son David, even if you don’t want to be rich, it is too late”. Something went, something came. If you won’t let go of what should go, what should come will not come. Church Gist. I like you to focus on the power of Christ because… John 6:57. The Father had only one son and He gave Him. The Son had only one life, He gave it. If you are not a giver, you are selling off the future without knowing. Grace to be a delightsome giver, I receive it.
Ask for it because you know you have that problem, the horns of the Gentiles are holding you down “don’t give” “don’t bother” “It is not true”. Other people are smiling and you are groaning, you need to be rescued. Church Gist. Revelations 12:11
People need deliverance from stinginess holding fast, won’t let go. Proverbs 11:25.
If giving of your tithe will open the windows of heaven and secure the blessing. Why should anybody not encourage it if he understands it? Somebody gave you a hundred and he said give me 10 to acknowledge that you received it, you say why? Where will you get the next one from? What have you that you have not been given? There are people who just enjoy these teachings but are not doing them. Church Gist. If you are not a tither you are not a candidate for any open heaven. Prayer and fasting won’t do anything to you. If you are not a kingdom promoter you will be limited in your access. Haggai 2:1. This is all it takes. It takes a liberal soul to step into this realm of financial fortune. A liberal soul who guides his affairs with discretion, it is not just throwing around things.
He said what thou doest do quickly and they said that could mean two things: to go and give something to the poor or to go and buy what they need not to go and beg. Givers don’t beg. Givers are not permitted to beg. I was looking for baby food many years ago and it was not in town, not that it was a scarce commodity. Not in town wherever. The Lord said give all that you had, we did and we got twenty four cartons of baby food, the following day. Somebody came and said ‘there is no baby food in town but the Lord spoke to me to bring this one to you’. 24 cartons. So you can get things without buying them. Somebody will rather die than give. Church Gist. We are looking for baby food and I should give, how will I buy it when I see it? What we had couldn’t buy two tins, we got 24 cartons. Life! Not guesswork. Somebody heard the general thing, pay your tithe. He won’t give. Give to the poor, I am also poorer than him. He just puts himself under a siege. But that siege is broken.
- Your giving life is released.
- Your love for God is released

Every encounter with revelation sparks off a revolution. May the encounter of this Spiritual Week of Emphasis spark off a revolution in the lives of every one of us.. 2 Corinthians 3:18. Nothing changes people’s stories like encounters with the Word. You can’t be hanging around a well of water and dying of thirst. Haggai put away the son because she couldn’t watch him die of thirst. Church Gist. The angel said look beside you, there is a well of water down here. We have a collection of 80 to 100 teachings on prosperity. They are there life. Books are recommended, many have never read one. In the name of Jesus, everyone that is yet to find this thing will find it. Jeremiah 15:16.
- Everyone here shall be turned into the Psalm 112 man.
- No one in your lineage shall be mistaken for a better.
- Lack and want shall not be the identity of your lineage.
- The struggle for survival shall not be your portion any more.
All you need is to take pleasure in keeping His commandments. Know what He says, lay up His Word like we are told and you can lay up gold. Know what it takes to make your giving work. Church Gist. Know what kind of giving is acceptable to God and what is unacceptable to God. Please, it is for your good.
In the precious name of Jesus, before we are done this month your financial level has changed for the better. The whole essence is to promote the kingdom of God, start from where you are and keep doing it. Everybody here came from a poor family, everybody was born naked. Nobody came down here with anything. Start from where you are and keep doing it. Start! The end is colourful. We were in a batcher before! Christ started from a manger. Start for where you are, your future is glorious. Your future is gorgeous, your future is enviable. Start from where you are now. Church Gist. If I gave you #10 in those days, you will celebrate, you will dance. If I give it to you now, you won’t bother “maybe he doesn’t know I am a human being” why? Because you think I am more than that. Everybody started from somewhere, start from somewhere. The future is glorious.
- No one in this spiritual family ends up a beggar.
- Today no one can identify you where you are but tomorrow you are a blessing to many.
