Abattoir

Abattoir is a question of faith, and intercession.

It tells the story of Martins, son to Chief Durosanya, his biological father, and foster child to Baba Gbenro, his role model.

Young Martins leaves home and cuts communication with his father after the death of his mother as he suspects that his father, Chief Durosanya is involved in occultic activities and is responsible for his mother’s demise.

He later becomes a teacher at a government owned secondary school.

His suspicion isn’t far from the truth. Chief Durosanya is not just an occult member but a high ranking member in the cult.

To access the third dimension in the Spirit realm and move to a higher position, Durosanya must get his son Martins initiated and ready to take over his current seat, the position must run in the family.

To ensure this, Martins is tormented spiritually and made to face different trying times in order to get him to return home and fulfil the necessary rites.

His faith wavers but his foster father, Baba Gbenro is always there to stand in the gap for him and encourage him.

A storm comes to shake the relationship between Martins and Baba Gbenro as orchestrated by the occult, just so Martins spiritual covering can be removed from his life, but God is able to quiet the storm, though it poses a really difficult one.

In this period, Martins is just a step away from entering into the devil’s snare. He overcomes this particular phase but who knows how long Martins will keep running away from his father?

This movie shows the need for us to be spiritually sound and to have spiritual coverings over our lives: mentors, our pastors, prayer partners.

It speaks of brotherhood in the Kingdom. When a soldier falls, rather than mock or get mad at them for their short comings, pray for them. Intercede on their behalf.

Your intercession can go a long way to recover a lost soldier.

Credit goes to the Mount Zion Film Productions.

Abattoir is a call to revival and spiritual alertness.
