The Power of Godly riches. Psalms 112:1-3. That is your realm in Jesus’ name. Godly riches, wealth and riches shall be in his house. It is important to know that another element of power that you need in order to experience the power you require to rule in life is the power of riches and wealth. Church Gist. You need it to rule in life. God is powerful and God is also the most wealthy. Psalm 24:1. The Power that rules the world, why God cannot be dethroned, it is not only spiritual power, God the Almighty is also God the most wealthy. Church Gist. Proverbs 10:15. So, wealth is a power base, we need it.
Proverbs 14:20. Wealth will give you the power of positive attraction, you’ll summon things and they’ll answer. Beloved, what’s the use of a gospel that nobody wants to accept? The power of wealth and riches is a plus to the gospel. Church Gist. Proverbs 19:4. Your influence is greatly hampered by poverty and your influence is greatly enhanced by prosperity. Therefore, righteousness plus prosperity is a preferred combination than righteousness plus poverty. Psalms 25:27. God prefers that you serve Him in wealth than in poverty. It doesn’t mean you can’t serve Him in poverty. Church Gist. In fact, most of us began serving God in poverty, the Bible said so in 1 Corinthians 1:26-27, but I’m glad to let you know we didn’t remain there.
- The God that has changed the level of others is changing your own in Jesus’ name.
1 Corinthians 1:26-27. Don’t remain the way you began. He picked Abraham from poverty but Abraham didn’t remain poor. So, don’t remain the way you began.
- lift your hand and say, “in the name of Jesus, I access the Power of Godly wealth and riches, I access the power of wealth”.
How many of you know, for example, you’re sick, it’s better that in that sickness, you have the resources to treat yourself than to be sick and all you’re doing is pray. Church Gist. Assuming you’re still single and you want to be married, it’s better to be single and have some money to take care of yourself. You see, money just makes life better, no matter where you find yourself, it just makes enduring your situation better. Money is a strong city. Church Gist. That is why I came here with faith in my heart, that for everyone that will believe God’s word, there shall be a prophetic push, pushing you into wealth in Jesus’ name.
You must prefer wealth over poverty, you have to. I know you’ll be healed but while you’re going towards your healing, travel with wealth. Church Gist. I know God will bless you with children but while you’re on your way to children, at least, rent, feeding, clothing should be a problem.
- in the name of Jesus, the door of wealth opens to you now. Righteousness wealth, Godly wealth, wealth that will enhance your righteousness. Say Amen and receive it in Jesus’ name.
Can you open your heart and receive this realm of God’s visitation? Wealth is a strong city, it has influence. Now, satan knows this too. Church Gist. While you’re trying to be more holy than God, Satan is all out, satan is not pretending that he’s out to control the wealth and decided who has it and who doesn’t have it.
- That is why we decree, any evil hand that wants to shortchange you of this divine allocation of wealth, we break that hand in Jesus’ name. Say “wealth and riches and mine” with authority. Say, “I will serve God with wealth, I will build God’s kingdom with wealth, I will advance God’s work with wealth”.
Luke 4:5-8. That’s when I realized that wealth answers to spiritual warfare. That is, while you’re working, be binding, while you’re doing business, be binding because there’s a devil that wants to decide and dictate who gets it and he wants to give it only to those who worship him. Church Gist. So, satan wants devil worshippers to be the ones in control of the wealth, so that they put over you the leaders they want who will propagate their ideologies. There are some countries in the world now that your child at the age of 13,14 can start receiving hormonal drugs to change sex without informing you. Church Gist. Yes, because of who makes the laws. There are countries now that if your child reports you that you told your child that she is not a “he”, they’ll take the child from you. It’s about who makes the laws. Be sitting there with your head inside choruses, it’s about who makes the laws. I am telling that you need more than just “Holy Ghost fire”. Holy Ghost fire with some Holy mulla. Church Gist. Because while some of us will be preaching the gospel behind the pulpit, some of us need to preach the gospel in the chambers of legislation, in the places where laws are formulated. That’s where you need to represent Christ, and to get there, you’ll need funding. You can’t get in there by clapping hands and playing tambourine. You need funding. Church Gist. You need to match them power for power, money for money, authority for authority, connection for connection, without which they’ll outdo in this game.
Can I tell you something? Darkness is not trying to cover the Church, darkness wants to cover the earth according to Isaiah 60:2. Darkness is on a mission to cover the earth, not just your prayer life. And guess what? Church Gist. God is on a mission to saturate the earth with glory. So, there’s a global contest over who will influence the world and we can’t be sleeping.
- lift your hand and say, “as the Lord liveth, I access wealth to represent God, I access wealth to advance God’s course, I access wealth to advance God’s Kingdom”. Now, shout Amen.
Psalms 35:27b. Wealth and riches needs to abide in His house so that you will use it serve to God.
- say, “I will serve God with my resources, mega resources, abundant resources”
So, Satan knows, satan is aware but the devil came too late because our God is the Almighty. Psalms 104:24. Church Gist. So, God says, “it is mine and the devil, you must take your hands off it”. Revelations 4:11. So, the wealth of God in the world God created is to be used for the pleasure of God and that can only happen when the wealth enters the hand of God’s people. That’s why we must teach God’s people that the purpose of wealth is God’s purpose. Church Gist. We must be different from unbelievers. That is why serving God must be your heart passion.
- somebody say, “I am a servant of God, I will live to serve the Lord”.
The blessing package that God has for His people include wealth and riches. Psalms 112:1-3. Church Gist. Please don’t accept blessing without the inclusion of wealth and riches. Don’t accept the definition of the blessed man that leaves out wealth and riches, let it be included. A blessed man is not a back bencher somewhere, never consulted with no opinion, his opinions don’t count, no Sir. Church Gist. He’s so mighty in influence that his influence gives advantage to his children.
- you will not be a disgrace, you won’t be small.
Look at the testimony of a man like Abraham. Genesis 13:2. Abraham was rich, not just rich, very rich. Now, that’s not how he began. He began, locked up somewhere in his father’s house with no name of his name. But, you see when he started working with God, God needed a man that would influence his generation and God knew that part of what Abraham needed was wealth. Genesis 23:2-6. Can you see how to leverage in this life? Genesis 23:8-9. Church Gist. You might begin poor, but don’t stay there, don’t remain.
- stand up and shout, “wealth and riches, come to my house”.
Genesis 23:10-16. Abraham didn’t say, “let me go and come”, he came ready, he came loaded.
- lift you hand and say, “wealth and riches, come to my house o”. Pray that prayer.
- I prophesy over your life, any devil that built a barrier to cage you with poverty, we scatter that barrier now, we shatter that barrier now. Cross into your millions and billions, shift in wealth, resources and opportunities. Shout, “wealth and riches”.
Do you remember that Isaac was so wealthy that the people of the land envied him. That’s a man that began by begging to survive. Genesis 26:1-5, 12-14. He was so blessed with wealth and riches that the Philistines envied him. Church Gist. They didn’t pity him or look down on him, they envied him. They didn’t despise him, they envied him.
- your level has changed now! Somebody say, “in the name of Jesus, from this day, no more begging”. Shout the loudest Amen.
Make up your mind please, that what God is revealing to us. Luke 22:35. You know one day, Jesus said to them, we can’t send these people away hungry, lest they faint on the way, give them something to eat”, and the disciples said, “from where? Where can we buy enough bread for this people?” That’s how Jesus talks, “give them something to eat”. I put up a post about “Love Kitchen”, that it’s been over 10 years that we’ve been doing Love Kitchen, and somebody said, “sir, it’s over 17 years, I was eating Love Kitchen 17 years ago”, I didn’t even know it has been up to that. “Give them Something to eat”. “Master, with what?” “What do you have?” “5 loaves and two fishes” “Alright, let me have it. Lord I thank you” and he broke it, “now, give it to them.”
- you’ll never know limitations again, you’ll never know shortage again.
Luke 22:35. They didn’t lack anything. Now, I don’t want you to feel down or bad. That picture you saw there, wasn’t just my physical state, that was my financial state, and the totality of my state. This woman (points to his wife) is a woman of faith, so don’t put your head down as if somebody is harassing you. Church Gist. I am sent by God for your deliverance. 2 Chronicles 20:20.
- in the name of Jesus, you’re out of lack and scarcity today. If you’ll believe the Word of God and the oil of God upon the life of this servant, you’re out of lack and poverty today! The journey begins now! The journey into favour, increase, open doors, opportunities and promotion, in the name of Jesus.
Some of you, the journey is already on, so be a witness of the faithfulness of God. You know how you came. Be a witness of the veracity of the Word of God. Be a witness that the Word works. Be a witness that God will perform His Word and execute His counsel. Church Gist. Isaiah 44:26. Don’t doubt God, if He can save your soul, He can save your pocket. Psalm 103:5. Psalm 84:11.
- shout, “I receive”.
Don’t choose scarcity, don’t embrace poverty. God has declared provision for His children abundantly and richly, not in scarcity but in abundance. Don’t forget that the earth is full of His riches. 1 Timothy 6:17-19. Church Gist. We are not saying prosper so that you will trust in your prosperity or your wealth, no, we’re saying that you need this empowerment to influence the world for God.
- somebody say, “I need money as a tool for ministry”. Say, “money in my hands is a tool for ministry, not for show or pride.”
1 Timothy 6:18. That means, time to honour God with my tithe, I release it happily, time to honour God with taking care of my loved ones, I release it joyfully, honour God with taking care of the poor around me, within my circle of influence, I take care of them happily and cheerfully. Church Gist. I pay my staff with delight. After I pay them, I look into some other personal issues of theirs. God said, “distribute”, that’s why you must have it.
- you will have wealth in the name of Jesus.
1 Timothy 6:19. He says use it for spiritual devotion. Use it to lay up, your tithe, you lay up, your offerings, you lay up. Not after you pay tithe, you’ll be sitting down to look at, “where’s the reward?”. No, you need to be blessed beyond that. You release your tithe with joy because, “I’m taking care of God’s kingdom”. Seed today becomes harvest tomorrow. Sacrifice today becomes deliverance tomorrow, becomes divine intervention tomorrow. Church Gist. Can you see that money is a tool for ministry? It’s a tool for serving the Lord.
- praise the Lord!
What is Godly riches?
- Riches with God’s blessing and without sorrow. Proverbs 10:22.
- Riches with Godliness and righteousness. You don’t backslide because you hit contracts or drop from choir because you bought a car. What a useless money. Church Gist. No, that is devil’s money. Riches with Godliness and righteousness. Psalm 112:3. It doesn’t change you, it makes you a better, stronger and more impactful child of God, because the things you couldn’t do, you can now do them for God.
- Riches with truthfulness, not fraud or falsehood. You don’t defraud anybody, you don’t need it. You’ll count and hold back 2,000 and say, “count, I’m sure it’s complete”, and the person counts mistakenly and didn’t notice 2,000 is short. “It’s complete, right? Very good”. “Na my luck”, it’s not your luck, it shows that poverty is still building a storey building in your life. Psalm 62:9-10. Church Gist. You defraud anybody, you have no future, you have cut your taproot and it’s a matter of time, you’ll go down. Proverbs 20:10. Don’t sit down and concort a yahoo letter, everything is a lie, then you send it to somebody or concort a yahoo SMS. It’s cursed money, it’ll destroy you. Falsehood, just to buy canvass, phone, sunshades and Camry or Mercedes. It’ll destroy you. Bible said, you’ll end as vanity. It’s an abomination. Don’t carry somebody and inspect a land that is not yours and collect the money, don’t do it. “Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in His commandments”, that’s the way to sure riches, not fraud. Don’t tell lies to your parents to collect money, don’t tell lies to the person helping you to collect money. Don’t do that, you have destroyed your future. Church Gist. It’s not smartness, it’s wickedness, it’s an abomination before God. Don’t do it. Wait until legitimate money comes.
- Riches with Peace and favour with God and man. Don’t do anything that will make somebody cry against you to God or weep before God because of you. Proverbs 3:1-4. Church Gist. People should remember you with a blessing not with a curse or an abuse. Favour with God and man. You can’t be praying to God for favour and a man or woman somewhere is crying and cursing you. You can never enjoy favour, you’ll be destroyed, it’s a matter of time. You don’t need that kind of wealth. Proverbs 15:16. That’s why we told you that we’re not afraid to begin with little, but we will not remain little. No pastor can pray away the disaster and calamity that you have buried some other person inside, and you want to escape. Church Gist. It’s not possible. That’s why God brings the teaching to caution you. Because you might think that, “okay, I will avoid it tomorrow”, no. You know the angel told Joseph, “carry this baby and the mother and leave her, because there’s no plan to protect you when you’re inside this house, the answer is for you to leave this place”. So, when God brings the teaching for you to avoid something, it is because there’s no provision for you to be rescued after you have entered it. Church Gist. So, avoid it, so that you’re not swelling up and prayers cannot help you. Avoid it. So that you’re not bleeding and prayer cannot help you. So that you’re not on life support and prayers cannot help you. Avoid it. So that you’re not drying up and dying slowly and communion cannot help you. Avoid it! If the money is not clean, you don’t need it. You cannot take out of that evil money you defrauded others and say you pay tithe and escape the curse of the person you defrauded. Church Gist. God is teaching you now so you’ll avoid it, because there’s nothing you’ll do with that money that will rescue you from the calamity that will befall you. So, be careful who you marry, so you don’t marry into a car that will bury you with disease you can’t explain. It’s important we emphasize it because it’s a plague that is sweeping the land now – fraudulent money, urgent money, quick money. Don’t do that. Beware! God has clean money for you. Church Gist. So, don’t let any devil deceive you and push you into that kind of evil.
- somebody say, “God forbid!” Say, “in the name of Jesus, I enjoy the wealth of God in order to do the will of God”
So what is my counsel to you in order for you to enjoy the riches of God.
- Be a person that puts God first. Let God be your motive, plan, motive and aim. Not self, flesh or show. Matthew 6:33. Don’t seek how to have money, seek how to serve God, how to represent God and how to be the person that God can use and these things will follow. 2 Chronicles 27:6. Church Gist. “Lord, whatever you can’t give me, I don’t want. Whatever will not please you, I’m not interested”. You know what God told Abraham? “Walk before me, and be thou perfect”. Genesis 17:1-2. In other words, “put me first”, that’s what God was telling Abraham.
- Be persuaded of the power of God’s blessing. Believe that God’s blessing can make you rich. Believe that God’s blessing can shift your business, career and your resources. Church Gist. Genesis 24:1,35. Believe in the power of God’s blessing. “Lord, I believe that your blessing can shift me, lift me and promote me”.
- Be obedient to divine instructions. Don’t harden your heart against the Word of God. Is it not God you want to bless you? So, be obedient to divine instructions. Let your eyes be open. Church Gist. God says, “trust me”, you trust Him, “serve me”, you serve Him, “be active in my kingdom”, you become active in His Kingdom. Be obedient to divine instructions. It’s possible to be obedient to divine instruction in other areas but refuse to be obedient in financial matters. In financial matters, be obedient to divine instructions.
- Be faithful in your covenant practice of tithing and giving. Church Gist. Malachi 3:10. Abraham was obedient to that covenant practice and it exploded him.
- Be diligent with your work. Don’t allow laziness to enter your business or your career. Proverbs 10:4. Be diligent and serious with your work. You cannot be careless with your work and be representing God. Church Gist. No, God is a diligent person. Everything about creation is diligent and thorough. So, you too must learn to be diligent. Don’t be reckless and lazy.
- Be good and skillful in your gifts. Proverbs 25:14. Proverbs 18:16. So, make sure that in your area of gifting, that you’re outstanding. You develop yourself till you stand out. Joseph wasn’t the only adviser but he stood out. Church Gist. Daniel wasn’t the only adviser but he stood out. Whatever is your gift, be so good and skillful in the area of gifting that you stand out.
- say, “I’ll stand out in my gift”
And you when you stand out in your gift, you become a problem solver. Make sure you’re not a person that causes people to always complain of your work. Do your work with thoroughness and diligence.
- Be prudent in your spending, not wasteful. Don’t be wasteful, when you’re wasteful, it’ll affect your blessing. Proverbs 20:17. You don’t take your masters’ money as if it’s your money. Don’t lie to yourself by faking a standard of living that you cannot afford. Church Gist. Don’t be the one spoiling your own blessings. Please, beware of “bread of deceit”, spending your tithe as it it’s your money, spending your vow when you have not redeemed your vow. At the end, it buries a person in gravel.
