THE REASON CHRISTIANS GROW TIRED EASILY IS THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE REVELATION OF THE GOODNESS OF GOD.

Psalm 31:19
What did David see that made him exclaim Oh! David was a man of war; he was a man that lived ahead of his generation. He was referred to as the Psalmist. David was very rich. Despite all these, the Bible says David acknowledged that the goodness of the Lord cannot be described. Church Gist. Nobody enjoyed God’s goodness and mercy in David’s generation as David. The goodness of the Lord is laid up for you as a believer. You need to believe and accept this.
The goodness of the Lord has no bottom. It is inexhaustible. – 1st Corinthians 2:9
God is called God because He is so good. Church Gist. One of the ways to step into God’s goodness is by joy. And joy is called a force. Nehemiah 8:10; Isaiah 12:3; Hebrews 6:9
Why is it that believers fail to harness this great force to be able to access the goodness of God laid up for them?
Because they grow weary; they become tired and give up on God.
Faith is like dynamite and it is with joy it is ignited. The devil knows this and so he arranges situations to rob your joy.
Galatians 6:9
It is not time to give up and faint. Heaven has seen your sacrifices so we shouldn’t look at the physical. Your breakthrough is just around the corner. Don’t look back. Don’t hold back in prayer, commitment, and sacrifices.
Matthew 20:16
God is a rewarder; God will always repay genuine and faithful servants.
Psalm 84:11
The Lord doesn’t withhold anything good from those who walk uprightly. Don’t let the enemy lie to you. If it is not with you now, the Lord is perfecting it for you.

The tired mode is the most dangerous for believers. A tired Christian will speak carelessly and once you do that, you will reap the implications. Church Gist. A tired Christian is full of unbelief. The reason Christians grow tired easily is that they do not have the revelation of the goodness of God. Anything you don’t have a revelation about can be tampered with easily by the enemy.
SIGNS OF SPIRITUAL TIREDNESS AND WEARINESS
- Lack of prayer – Luke 18:1
- You stop studying the Word. In the kingdom, you pay for your ignorance. Knowledge is key so go for wisdom. The Word of God is wisdom Isaiah 33:6
- Withdrawal from commitment in service. Ecclesiastes 9:10
I remember a brother in the Church who served faithfully in the Ushering Board. The wife was about to give birth and she travelled to the US and she was supposed to come in through Houston Texas. Now there are usually cases of them sending people back for many reasons. The wife travelled alone and this brother was here in Nigeria. And she got into a 13-hour flight. Before she boarded the aircraft she was already feeling pain. Church Gist. She was almost due. She got to the point of entry and they were interviewing her. Someway somehow, there was this lady who marked her and told her, “No! You are going back”. In her pregnant condition, she wanted to send this brother’s wife back. So they moved her to a secondary interrogation; that section demands stricter search and more questioning for more details. The lady who hindered her called her superior and when he saw her, he said, “Let her go”. But the moment, the superior stepped away, the lady told the brother’s wife, “No! I am not going to let you go”. The pregnant woman called the husband in the middle of the night and told her about the situation. Do you know what he did? He woke up and wore the Ushering Board uniform from the head and to toe and said, “Lord, remember my sacrifice and service”. Church Gist. They released the wife. If he was serving halfheartedly, he wouldn’t have had the boldness to utter such words.
Psalm 20:3
- Reduction in your fellowship with the Holy Spirit. It is in the presence of the Lord you find the fullness of joy.
- You start holding back your seed. Psalm 126:6, Genesis 8:22
- You begin to skip church. Hebrews 10:25, Jeremiah 12:5 NLT
- You start to disdain prophetic instructions and pronouncements. 1st Thessalonians 5:20; Proverbs 11:9; 2nd Kings 13:18-19; Isaiah 35:3 -4 NLT, MSG; Isaiah 40:30-31; 2nd Thessalonians 3:13 NLT; Hebrews 10:38
WHY DO WE NEED TO STAY STRONG AND NOT BE TIRED?
It is because God is faithful. Church Gist. If you don’t give up, God will show up for you. God is the God who honours you in front of your enemies. So don’t give up and hold back.

For you to see the reality of contradiction and choose to worship God is faith.
HOW TO OVERCOME SPIRITUAL TIREDNESS
You overcome spiritual tiredness by total reliance on the energy the Holy Spirit supplies. There is an super human energy of the Spirit.
Church Gist. If you don’t tap into it, you will struggle. Acknowledgment is the button of operation. If you understand this as a believer, you will never have suicidal tendencies.
You must speak God’s Word constantly
Philippians 1:6; Colossians 1:29 AMPC; John 14:26
One of the reasons people can’t tap into the energy is because of the flesh. Fasting helps you rule over the flesh. Anytime the flesh is louder, you shut down the Holy Spirit.
You need to be tired of your way of life that is not giving you any results. It has not helped you. It’s time to switch and connect well. Church Gist. If you connect well, you go far.
Don’t live life the way you want to live life. Live life the way God wants you to live life.
